- The cheapest way, which is avoiding removing the wall covering on the inside, or removing the exterior material is to drill holes at the top of each wall every 16 (There is a cavity in the wall formed by the studs and wall coverings) and blow in insulationThe machine to do this can be rented at some homecenters.and they of course, sell the insulation This can be done in the attic as wellAs far as the holes you drill, they will have to be repaired, and hopefully will not be noticeableI dont think there is enough room to access from the attic, unless you have a very steep roofAnd, if you can, there will probably be a double plate of 2x4s to drill and blow through Possible, but improbable, take a look and maybe you'll be lucky.
