Q: . The 2v battery will only be turning a small 2v motor that will be turning very slowly yet possibly or a long time. 2. -2 hours max per day it will be running3. I want it to be fully sufficient on solar power once the energy in the battery runs out. What specifications for my panel do you think I will need. However, i have limited space so the smaller the better as long as it can do the jobP.S: I don't know much about electricity and solar power so simple answers please :)
batteries are rated with the help of the CCA, chilly cranking Amps the better the CCa the longer it is going to very last, don,t imagine you want a charge Controller as your consistently drawing juice from it, the picture voltaic panel will keep the bat at its height , then even as the solar is down , the pump will draw off the bat,
Q: How do solar panels interact with the electrical grid?
Solar panels interact with the electrical grid through a process called net metering. When solar panels generate excess electricity, it is fed back into the grid, allowing homeowners or businesses to receive credits for the energy produced. During periods of low solar production, such as at night, electricity is drawn from the grid. This bidirectional flow of electricity enables solar panel owners to offset their energy consumption and contribute to the overall grid supply.
Q: Lower solar panel/wind turbine prices allow wider applications, hence a great help to a greener mother earth!
Wind okorder / For the period 87 - 200: Low Risk = bonds = .8% ROI High Risk = stocks = 5.4% ROI For the period 982 - 200: Low Risk = bonds = 5.% ROI High Risk = stocks = 6.% ROI
Q: Can solar panels be installed on water treatment plants or utilities?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on water treatment plants or utilities. In fact, many water treatment plants and utilities are increasingly adopting solar power as a sustainable and cost-effective energy solution. Solar panels can be installed on rooftops, open fields, or even on floating platforms over water bodies, providing clean energy to power the operations of these facilities.
Q: i have this usb solar panel charger i am building and the solar panel is about 2by .5quot;, so i was wondering if a led light can power it, if so will one be good or would i need more? if so how many?
While I understand Search's answer, because it was also my first reaction, am I wrong in thinking that this is some sort of science fair project, for which you need to power a solar panel indoors as though it were being illuminated by the Sun? The question at least makes sense in that context. Solar panels provide modest power even from room lighting, sometimes calculators are powered by small panels, but that is a tiny amount of current. . You'll probably do better by asking this question (a bit more clearly) over in Engineering. It's not really an Astronomy Space question, though there may be some crossover between the two groups of users. Meanwhile, while some white LEDs can be pretty dazzling to the eye, I don't know how much actual power they are pulling down compared to what you'll need the panel to generate, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. I just don't know how many LEDs you would need. . .
Q: How to Compare Solar Panels? ?
The short answer is nobody does. Solar panels just generate electricity and only when the sun is shining. What you can do however is sell the electricity you have generated to your local power company. Computer solar panel for using computer and how much volt support?
Q: I was looking at thin flexible solar panels as solar panels 500w a option to upgrade a 20w solar panel I have permanently mounted to the roof of a home made camper van.Why I was thinking flexible is at just 2mm thin they can be glued down and being flexible they will follow the contour of the rounded shape of the roof of my camper (boxy standard solar panel spoils the lines a little)Another reason is no glass to brake when traveling on dirt tracks(though I am surprised mine hasn't broken yet after thousands of km on corrugated dirt roads). Finally there is a weight saving at only /3 the weight or less then a standard glass panel. There are different grades of flex PV some of the more expensive ones are very flexible with extremely thin backing at around .5mm The ones I was looking at are cheaper and at around 2mm with a thin flexible aluminum backing.$250 is about the going rate for 20w OKorder job. Below is a pic of a smaller one 60w or so.Has anyone had any experience with them?

Q: Ok so I am planning on buying a solar panel. I am doing it to possibly sell the energy that it stores. It is a 20 watt panel so I am just wondering if every week or month if I sold that energy that it stored would make me a good profit. I am not hoping for thousands of dollars a month..just like 00? The solar panel cost me $,00 so if so, how long do you think it would take to make good profit. Also, how much would I make every week or month?
I will give you the tools to answer your own question. Here is the solar resource map: rredc.nrel /solar/old_data/nsr... Use it to look up the hours of peak equivalent sunlight per day in your area. For example, let's say it's 5 hours / day. Then per year you get 365 x 5 = 825 hours of sun Your panel is 20 watts, or 0.2 kW So the energy produced per year is 825 x .2 = 383 kWh You'll have to use the proper numbers for your own area, of course. Anyway, you can take that 383 kWh and determine how much it would cost at local electric rates. Never know, on some islands, it's $.00 per kWh. Check with your local electric company for rates.
Q: Can solar panels be used in conjunction with energy-efficient appliances?
Yes, solar panels can definitely be used in conjunction with energy-efficient appliances. In fact, combining solar panels with energy-efficient appliances is a great way to maximize energy savings and reduce environmental impact. By generating clean and renewable electricity, solar panels can power energy-efficient appliances, ensuring a more sustainable and cost-effective energy solution for homes and businesses.
Q: Can solar panels be used to charge electric vehicles?
Yes, solar panels can be used to charge electric vehicles. The energy generated by solar panels can be used to directly charge the vehicle's battery or can be stored in a separate battery system to be later used for charging the electric vehicle.
