1. Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve Description

A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required. The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe, passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the disc is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is always induced in the flow, regardless of valve position.

2.Main Features of the Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve

a)Cast hole. Flange connection meet ANSI 125/150#   DIN PN10/16   BS4504 PN10/16 in the meanwhile.

5.FAQ

1. What is manual wafer butterfly valve?

A: Wafer style is the more common of the two and is less expensive than the lug style. The wafer style butterfly valve is just about the standard. It ís so common that no one even bothers to use the word "wafer" when ordering a butterfly valve. It is taken for granted that if a butterfly valve is ordered, a wafer style will be received.

2. How about the Installation of the Wafer Style Butterfly Valve?
A: Butterfly valves are installed by inserting the valve between two flanges using bolts or studs and nuts to hold it all together. This type of installation, of course, makes it impossible to disconnect just one side of the piping system from the valve. That benefit is received using the lug style valve.

3. What is the working principle of manual wafer butterfly valve?

A: A butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.

Q: What does "D341X-16Q" mean? What do D341-16Q letters and numbers mean for butterfly valves?
D - valve type code: Butterfly valve;3 - valve drive mode code: worm gear;4 - valve connection form code: flange;1 - valve structure type code: vertical plate type;X - seat sealing surface or lining material code: rubber;16 - nominal pressure value: PN1.6MPa;Q - body material code: QT400 - 15.
Q: What's the difference between a clip on handle butterfly valve and a turbo butterfly valve? Where are they used?
Just drive differently,Handle butterfly valve is generally small caliber, because generally small caliber torque smaller, can be directly opened and closed by handTurbine butterfly gear box drive stem rotation. The selection principle for when the stem torque is greater than 300N.M when used in gear box drive gear box, and use the handwheel control hand wheel force is not greater than 300 nm.
Q: What's the difference between a clip type turbine butterfly valve and a flanged turbine butterfly valve?
The clip type valve bolts are generally longer, in high temperature conditions, bolt expansion may lead to leakage, so the high temperature conditions are not suitable for large diameter. But for the end and downstream pipeline occasions need to remove the clip on butterfly valve is generally not, because when the downstream flange dismounting clamp down, the valve will fall down, it must do in order to remove the nipple, and the flange type butterfly valve does not exist on the surface of the problem, but the cost will be relatively high.
Q: I have a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and I think I have the case of the blow-by. The engine had high mileage, but was rebuilt b/c it stalled while driving. 3.1L V6 gasoline engine. The fuel filter and the fuel pump are brand new. Now we have the same problem a few months later. It stalls while driving. Its been sitting a while and won't start by itself, so I pulled off the air intake hose off of the air filter to spray starting fluid into it. I noticed oil puddled in the air intake hose, so I looked for the PCV valve on the rocker cover. There is a tube going from the air-intake hose to the rocker cover. I popped out the tube from the rocker cover and there is no PCV valve. Just tube. Is that where the PCV valve is supposed to go? If not, where can I find it on the engine? And could that possibly fix the blow-by and the stalling engine? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Q: Butterfly valve D71X-10 and butterfly D371X-10 what is the difference?
Different structure. The handwheel (or handle) of the D71X-10 is mounted directly on the valve stem, and the D371X-10 is operated by means of a bevel gear in combination with the worm, and the handwheel is mounted on the worm.
Q: I have put a new pressure valve and replaced both thermostat
so that should have fixed it I wonder if you needed to replace the stats
Q: What is the working principle of the electric butterfly valve, and what's the difference between the butterfly valve and the butterfly valve?
What's the difference between a worm valve and a manual butterfly valve? The turbine can light and close the valve here. It is more labor-saving and reliable. It is closed and open. Manual operation is relatively difficult, but the manual action is very fast. Fast switching.
Q: DN80 flange butterfly valve, DN80 flange butterfly valve DN80, flange butterfly valve DN80 what is the difference?
Of course there are differences, the general market sales of the DN80 are many flange plate copper rod butterfly valve, quality can not reach the national standard, to use copper rod copper butterfly valve quality is king.
Q: The difference between the directly buried gate and the flange valve and butterfly valve
The flange gate valve is stable and reliable when used in the pipeline, so the flange gate valve is used on the high pressure pipeline.Butterfly valve refers to the closure of parts (valve or butterfly plate) as the disk, around the valve shaft to achieve rotation and closing of a valve, the main cut off on the pipe and throttling role. Butterfly valve headstock is a disc shaped disc, in the valve body around its own axis of rotation, so as to achieve the purpose of opening or closing or regulation. Butterfly valve used in furnace, coal gas, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, city gas, hot and cold air, chemical smelting and power generation environmental protection engineering system, conveying a variety of corrosive and non corrosive media pipeline, used to adjust and cut off the media flow.
Q: How to control the single acting pneumatic butterfly valve?
There are single acting pneumatic head, we must pay attention to often open or normally closed, we must pay attention to.
