Q:Seat has said to the previous owner that the car needs a new air mass meter and dump valve.I am putting a new air mass meter on it.Does it have a dump valve.I know very little on this subject.
every turbo will have a dump valve(waste gate) to regulate the boost to the engine Dump valves are fitted to the engines of turbo charged cars and sit between the turbo outlet and the throttle body. When transitioning from a boosted state to a closed throttle state (as in between shifts), due to inertia, the turbo continues to pressurize air, but the closed throttle prevents the compressed air from entering the engine. In this case the pressure exceeds the preset spring pressure in the dump valve and the excess pressure is bled off to atmosphere. Even with a dump valve the compressed air acts as a brake on the turbo (slowing it down), because the pressure on the backside of the turbo is at a higher pressure than on the front side (and the air actually wants to flow through the turbo backwards). A blowoff valve is a more elegant solution to this problem by allowing the turbo to freewheel when the throttle is closed (equalizing the pressure on both sides of the turbo). Unlike a dump valve a blowoff valve can be used at multiple boost settings without reconfiguration. Blowoff valves are sometimes incorrectly called dump valves because they serve a similar function, but they are very different solutions to the same problem.
Q:What's the size of the signal butterfly valve sleeve?
The structure characteristics and working principle: the top design electrical device the butterfly valve of the worm and the worm gear driving device, and with the stem straight connecting transmission. In the closed precision electromechanical device, opening mechanical instructions and imported electrical components and parts with rust proof valve.
Q:Can the inlet and outlet of butterfly valve be reversed? Why? What will happen if the reverse gear is installed?
Hard seal butterfly valve in any case, the reverse loading will cause tight seal.
Q:Why use special flanges for butterfly valves?
Butterfly valve to use special flange, butterfly valve itself is because of the structure of the decision, the butterfly valve to clip type connection, this pair of clamps is a special flange. Also known as butterfly valve, control valve has a simple structure, can be used for low pressure pipeline valve switching control is closed parts (disc or disc) is a disk, around the valve axis to achieve the opening and closing a valve, the valve can be used to control the flow of air, water, steam steam, all kinds of corrosive medium, mud, oil, metals and radioactive liquid media and other types of fluid. On the pipeline, mainly from cutting and throttling. Butterfly valve headstock is a disc shaped disc, in the valve body around its own axis of rotation, so as to achieve the purpose of opening or closing or regulation.
Q:What is the meaning of American Standard butterfly valve B series
American Standard flange connection is divided into A, B series. A series for normal flanges, B series for compact flanges. 24 "to no AB series, flange standards for B16.5, 24" above B16.47.
Q:Ok, so I took my car in for maintenance (Mustang GT convertible 2002) and the mechanic told me the valve gaskets needed to be replaced and when he gave me the estimate, they were two seperate charges for valve gaskets and valve covers, total of about $250.00 not including labor. Is he trying to rip me off cause I'm a girl by the way? Anyways, I didn't get it done cause it needed something else too and I didn't have enough money so I said I would be back in two weeks. So I called the dealership to inquire about the price and I asked the parts guy for a price on valve gaskets and he was like, I don't know what you mean, we have valve cover gaskets but nothing says just valve gaskets? I told him to give me the price anyways, thinking I would ask my brother (who hasn't tried to help me anyways) and it was $60.00 for both (I need two). How can this be if the other guy was charging me $250.00 for different parts? Help!!! Frustrated and confused, I don't know anything about cars :(
This Site Might Help You. RE: Is a valve gasket the same as a valve cover gasket? Ok, so I took my car in for maintenance (Mustang GT convertible 2002) and the mechanic told me the valve gaskets needed to be replaced and when he gave me the estimate, they were two seperate charges for valve gaskets and valve covers, total of about $250.00 not including labor. Q:Butterfly valve D71X-16 and D71X-16Q what is the difference?
The two difference is that the body of the material is not the same, 16 behind with no sign, expressed as a default, is carbon steel (usually C), if you need to specify material, just behind with symbols, such as Q nodular cast iron, stainless steel P.
Q:What does the butterfly valve model d344h, d345h, d346h, d347h mean?
According to the international standard of the letters and numbers apart to explain D344H D is a unit of butterfly valve, two unit 3 is driving mode: turbine, three unit 4 connection: flange connection, four unit 4 Structure: seal type linkage, five unit H sealing material: Cr13 stainless steelD345H compare yourself to the above. Unit 5 four is a sealed, single eccentric structureD346H four unit 6 is an unsealed center vertical plateD347H four unit 7 is unsealed double eccentricIn general, there is only one difference between them: the structural form is different!
Q:1st where is my zone valve? I have an old Burnham gas baseboard heater2nd What do I do?My last resort is calling a proffesional.
You may have only one circulate pump on the boiler. If you want to check the zone valve there is a small handle on the valve you can lift up and this will open the valve manually. It will be found on the (usually) green valve on the return end of the copper pipe. It should have a red and white wire attached. If this is opened manually and you get heat you can replace the top half of the valve by twisting it off and exchanging it with a new one. I think they are around $35.00 bucks or so at Home depot. You can keep it open without and fear. This means you will only have a one zone boiler and all baseboard s will get heat instaed of being zoned
Q:Hey YA! I am looking at getting an 01 Honda Prelude this month and valve adjustment keeps coming up when people discuss this car and other cars as well. What is this? Does it cost a lot to do, and is it important? Thank you!
Adjusting hydraulic lifters, also called setting the valve lash provides the necessary travel and operation for the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves. Most new vehicles use hydraulic lifters, since their operation and design provides an easy and simple method of keeping the valve train in synchronization. You can perform the adjustment with a cold, static engine or during engine idle once the operating temperature has been reached. Adjusting the lifters on a running engine, however, can present a problem with oil splashing upward from the tappets. They make a spring clip to prevent it from getting all over the engine and compartment. Cost vary from city to city Mechanic to mechanic Hope it helps Lr
