Q: I started growing herbs indoors a few weeks ago. They are in seed starter soil that I recently mixed with some good topsoil. I water them daily and have them in a sunny window. Problem is, that they seemed to have a hard time surviving and I‘m trying to troubleshoot to why.I have chives and they were growing alright, and i read that I should trim them down when they get a bit unruly, so I did and soon after they started struggling. It‘s still alive, but looking flimsy and I have strands that are dying on me. It‘s looking a little weaker everyday. I‘m also having this issue with dill. Thanks to anyone who can help!
They are the same, yours is probably better because it's ceramic
Q: If i put leopard gecko eggs in vermiculite, is there a certain quot;vermiculite to water ratioquot;? Youtube videos say to measure them in a 1:8 ratio. But lets just say i keep the vermiculite humid, and sot soggy or too wet.... would it still work? Or would the eggs die?
I would put a layer of vermiculite at the bottom of the pot to ensure good drainage, but if you have enough of it, it should be mixed into the growing medium as well. put them in another greenhouse ? Not sure what you mean - do you have more than one greenhouse? In any case, redwoods should grow fine in or out of a greenhouse, at least in summer. The mold is most likely moss - it is living off the nitrogen seeping out of the pots. It shouldn't hurt anything to be there, but If you are concerned, just scrape it off. If you can keep the sides of the pots in the dark, it will retard its growth.
Q: i just need to kno where i can buy these things

Q: Turtle eggs hatch for vermiculite?
Vermiculite and water ratio recommended approximately: 1:0.5 - 1:0.7 (1:1.2 for half hatch, but mature technology, here is not recommended), due to the impurity content of vermiculite and other factors affecting the water content, here is not to explain.
Q: How would I make a concrete couch for my back yard or any kind of mold for that matter? What do artist use to make things like that then put tile on them as mosaics.
Hi: You could probably use hypertufa - there are numerous recipes for it, and it can be made to simulate old mossy stone. The main component of it is portland cement, and then an organic component, like sifted peat moss or sawdust, a strengthening component, like loose fiberglass or plastic, and perlite, vermiculite or sand. Items made with this can withstand temperatures down to -20f, and you can shape it pretty easily, and carve into it for a few hours while it's curing. You can do a search for this term on yahoo and find a lot of links with recipes for making it. If you do want to make a real concrete item with mosaic elements, you might check out the wetcanvas sculpture channel. There are many threads and articles with photos and steps that would help you with this process. There are also items here that have been made with hypertufa. In a nutshell, a form is made with some material, and chicken wire is formed over that, and a concrete mixture is added over the top and mosiac elements are added in either during the process or afterward and grouted in. Hope this helps, and I hope your project goes well. Wetcanvas is a wonderful artist community website, and basic membership is completely free. There are currently more than 110,000 worldwide members, and many artistic channels for just about any type of artwork you can think of.
Q: i mist her a couple times a day is this bad
No this normal, most geckos dont know how to drink from a bowl, they drink off of themselves and the leaves and stuff in their cage. You can teach them by spraying the water dish in their cage, they see the water run down the dish and will follow it to find there is a place to drink. Most lizards are like this.
Q: Would it be safe to bring in a dry log from out side and put it in my terrarium with my T or dose this pose a threat to my T‘s health?
It can pose a threat, depending on if it came from a part of the yard that may have been treated with chemicals. It could also have mites or other microorganisms living in the wood. Your best bet is to sterilize the branch before you put it in with your T. There are different methods of doing this- you can boil it in water, or bake it in the oven to kill anything that could be harmful. You'll want to thoroughly clean it first to make sure any chemicals are gone.
Q: Okay My female paint turtle laid 1 egg in the water And i put her in the nesting box i put soft dirt in their cause i don‘t have sand And im not sure im not sure how long she has too stay in their cause she is trying too get out of it and im not sure if those are real eggs or not cause i found her on the road about 4-3 weeks ago and i didn‘t know if she was pregnant, Please Help
1. Please do not take home wild reptiles. Find them in the road, give them a shove to the side and let them be on their way. It hurts the reptile and the environment. Odds are if you picked up the eggs they're no good just because if you turn them the baby will die easily. And if she had them in the water they probably got too cold.
Q: i have a baby gecko - not older than a few months, and she just layed eggs, like an hour ago D:i made an incubator a while back, and i dont know why but i just turned it on today (lucky eh)its basically a lunchbox with a cricket box with damp vermiculite inside. its at about 85F now.lt;since my gecko is only a baby herself, i‘m aware they probably arent fertile, but stillgt;she layed them on top of the laying box i gave her, but one of the eggs was stuck tight onto it - anything i can do about this?(i wasnt sure, so i cut out that bit of the lid with the egg and and put that in the incubator)nowhere i looked says anything about the humidity in the incubator, so does anyone have any ideas about that too?and is there anything i can feed my little gecko to get her back upto strength - she‘s too small for pinkies. Thanks :)
cut the the laying box and and put the piece with the egg in incubator, humity should be high at least 80-100 would be good, you can feed her wax worms or butter worms, but not too much they are real fatty, i really dont think the eggs are fertile being the leo is sooo young, was it with a male, because they can lay eggs with out the malealso shake the worms crickets with calcium powder she will need it and helps with the recovering time from laying eggs
Q: Now that my anole has laid an egg how am I to take care of it?
To incunate the eggs, all you need is a yogurt cup, or similar contianer, 1.2 filled with moistened vermiculite or perlite. simply place the eggs on top of the mixture, and place it back in the cage where they will stay at temperatures of 75-90*F. The eggs hatch after 30-45 days using this method. Another option is to buy a commercial incubator and place the cups inside, set the temperature to 85*F, and check periodically, eggs hatch after about 35 days.
