API STC Casing Couplings

We provide STC casing coulings from 4-1/2″ to 20″, in grade J55, K55, N80, L80 and P110.

Threads are used as mechanical means to hold the neighboring joints together during axial tension or compression. For all casing sizes, the threads are not intended to be leak resistant when made up.

The round-thread (STC or LTC) casing-joint strength is given as the lesser of the fracture strength of the pin and the jump-out strength.

Q: I'm just baught a new LCD TV and i have two wires in each outlet. I want to ground this specific outlet by running a wire to a cold water pipe. What gage wire should i use.: It That has several preconditions: 1) room to cut the pipe, 2) ability to move one of the cut pipes, 3) already having a repair sleeve, 4) water already shut off. If there is no ability to move either end, then a larger section needs to be cut out and two sleeves installed. This doubles the repair time. For a plumber to do it should be less than 10 minutes unless the pipe is too close. Probably you are in for a minimum service call. Depending on where you are, expect $75 to $200.

Q: My drive writes fine on Verbatim brand discs but it refuses to write the same files on Memorex or HP brands. Please help me! thanks!: Depends on the size of the house, and the efficiency of the heating system. You need less heat to warm just one room, but that gas-fire is vented, and a lot less efficient than the heating system. ( A good condensing gas furnace uses about 90% of the available heat from the fuel. I'd guesstimate a decorative gas fire as no more than 50%.)

Q: OK so I bought a home in UT about 2 months ago and we didn't notice the home doesn't have smoke alarms. I read my home inspection report and surprise there is nothing in there about them it seems he didn't even look for them.SO.1) Isn't it required to have smoke detectors in a home2) Shouldn't it be in my inspection report?: Did you ever build model cars as a kid, or anything close to this? If so, you'll like CPVC. I'd go with the CPVC, and not use PVC, because CPVC will work on both Hot, and Cold water installations. CPVC, and PVC are physically different sizes, so you'd be doing a lot of juggling. Why hassle? CPVC costs just a tiny bit more than PVC, but it's worth it if you're under a house, or in a cramped space, and go..Oh crap, that parts outside, in a box in the truck! (NO, I've NEVER done that,LOL!) You can use the rubber sleeves,(looks like a black rubber piece of thick tubing), to attach the galvanized pipe to the CPVC. Sometimes the collars with the brass/plastic ferrules won't work due to size differences.(it's an adapter,that looks like a tube with two twist on caps,on each end, to connect two pipe together, going from galvanized to CPVC,[or PVC], that has a plastic 'ferrule' for CPVC, and a brass ferrule for galvanized. I use the cleaner/primer, then glue. I wait 20 seconds applying pressure to keep the part's together, then go on to the next peice. I usually wait an hour or so before I turn the water on. (I've known guy's who've turned it on after 20 minutes) It really isn't that tough, just like putting a puzzle together. I suggest a cardboard box underneath with you with pre-cleaned, and primered parts, inside, then clean, and primer your pipe ends, on the spot. Use a knife, and/or some sandpaper to de-burr the ends of the pipe after you've cut them with a hacksaw. Just my 2cent's!

Q: I do I know if I need Shock/Strut? When My SUV hit a speed bump on the left side you hear a noise loud, Then when I hit the 2 speed bump the noise is not that loud as the first one. Any Suggest?: It's not. The ports are all marked on filters these days. Inlet means in to filter from pump. Waste is backwash (if a sand filter). Outlet goes to heater, chlorinator and then pool return stub out. The front of the pump is where your suction (from pool stub out) goes. Top of pump goes to filter. Just make sure you have all the plumbing fittings and pipe handy. A roll of teflon tape as well. If this is all poly plumbing you'll need a propane torch to heat the pipe at the fittings and gear clamps.

Q: so i'm an incredibly heavy sleeper, but i'm planning on going to a residential high school after this school year and i'd have to wake up to an alarm clock, does anyone have any suggestions on how to make that easier?: Actually, I did experience a house fire once. Q: I want to move my receptacle pipe for the toilet bowl. There is a lead pipe with an elbow and then it enters into a cast iron pipe with a hub.i want to keep the cast iron hub but would like to put a 45 degree elbow and use the existing lead pipe to keep it 13 inches from the wall. How do i separate the current joint by either heating or wiggling the joint out?
