Q: with hopes of getting into the real estate investment field, what type of real estate class(es) would be best for me? i'm talking about the type of real estate classes offered at the typical community college (classes ranging from real estate principles to escrow).i will eventually try for a real estates license, but for now, i'd like to take one or two courses that will give me the most and best information on how to work in the real estate investment field.
Real Estate Law will be your best course. After that, depending on what type of investing a Land Use Planning course would also be beneficial. Principles is pretty much a prerequisite to a license in most states or if not, to your first license renewal. Once licensed, a definite must take class would be short sales and foreclosures, which many title companies offer for a nominal fee to licensed agents. Also 1031 tax exchange. You can google YourState Department of Real Estate Licensing to find your state's licensing requirements.
Q: I have been considering the military for some time now, and I have focused on going into the Navy. Now my dad seeing as though going into the military is a waste of time and I won't be making that much when I start out. The last part is true since I looked at the pay grades, they're like from $1426 to $2637.Now my dad has been trying to get me out of going into the military and says Real Estate makes more that what military offers by a substantial rate. I don't believe that, but I would like to get an answer from both sides to see which is right. I want to go into the military, but I also like making more money (hell everyone does). So please help me and thanks for taking the time to actually read this!
No on gets rich in the military, but when trying to compare salaries, you have to take into account all the free stuff you get from the military: free housing and food (or money to pay for those if you're married or have dependents), free health insurance for you AND your dependents, free dental for you and discounted dental for your dependents, guaranteed life insurance (though not the cheapest out there), free education while you're in through tuition assistance and the GI Bill for when you're out, plus tuition breaks for your dependents. My base pay is about 34k, but when you add in all the freebies, it's more like making about 50k.
Q: Im in Turlock, Ca. Im wanting to start a career as a real estate sales person, i need help and pretty much everything. How do i get my real estate license and where do i start; how do i get out and about are there any schools that provide trainings or something. Sorry if im not clear enough but that the best way i could find a way to ask this question so HELP ME OUT PLIZZZ, oh i forgot to say that im 19 years old i don't know if my age does anything on this but just thought to tell you all.
Make an appointment with a real estate broker or visit the local association of REALTORS. Either one could advise you but the association would be able to direct you to where you need to study. Remember that this is self employment and what you make is 100% commission with no salary. You will cover your own expenses that include the required education, fee to take the State exam, MLS fees, NAR and local board of realtors membership costs. You buy your own gas, business cards after the first set, often you pay E and O insurance and it goes on and on. Once you have your license and work under a brokerage then you will have to split all earnings with that Broker at whatever level you start. It can be 50/50 or it could be more. You want a Broker who will help and train you to list and sell real estate. All the licensing does is give you the right to work and earn a living.
Q: Im majoring in real estate and finance at temple currently. However whats the difference from getting a degree in real estate and just taking the 3 week class and getting youre license? Can you get a higher level career with a degree instead of just being a real estate agent, cause im not taking that major to b a real estate agent, i figured it was something more rewarding
A real estate career is definitely worth pursuing if first and foremost, you are well aware of what is really going on in this field. You have to be well oriented about the ins and outs in this line of business. Some sort of preparation is inevitable to help you in circumnavigating your way towards success. You expectations must be real enough to give you the right motivation to get the job done.

Q: Well, you see, I'm 16 in my junior year at high school, and I'm planning to be an international real estate agent, but I need to know what courses to take and which colleges would benefit me the best. I'm planning to do work between Germany and the US. I'm in my third year of German and planning to take my fourth, but I need to know what other courses in high school/college would benefit me best.Thank you!
First you take Business admin degree then think further.
Q: like how much does it cost for the exam to be a salesperson in real estate?
If that is the only concern you have, perhaps you should ask such a Q AND A LOT more of someone in the business in your state/commonwealth. I can only speak for Pennsylvania. When I sat for my courses and exams it was an investment of about $1,500 to $2,000 - which was the investment for the sales person’s license. It requires a lot of studying and a desire to want to do it the first time. In Pennsylvania, there is also MCE - Mandatory Continuing Education. If a person wants to continue practicing real estate, he/she must get additional credits on a regular basis. Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer it. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer. Thanks to everyone for reading my answer. I wish you well! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name.
Q: I've had a recent growing interest in real estate. Where do I start? I've heard that you can make considerable profit from flipping houses and such. Any suggestions? I really don't have much exposure or experience w/ this stuff at all. I was thinking about taking a real estate class at a community college in my area...
Ditto. I agree with Glenn. Flipping is very hands on best learned from someone actively doing it in today's market SUCCESSFULLY. Let them mentor you through the process as there are many facets to working the full scope of this type of business. While it is not required to have a license in real estate to flip houses, the benefit of a license is the info access you have in pricing and marketing the finished product. For that, you could affiliate yourself with a Realtor as many investors and flippers do.
Q: I am looking to buy a house in West Covina CA.Does any body thing the market will go back to the 1999 levels."house X" sold for 199000 in 11/1999 in 1-2007 sold for 569000now is 370000. Real Estate experts please help. where is the bottom?back to the low 200K?
There is no bottom.
Q: i am in high school right now going in to 12th grade and i want to be a real estate agent... the thing is i really hate math and i really don't want to take math 12 this year ... what are the real estate high school requirements so i can be a real estate agent ???
Every state has their possess requisites. Most comprise a required direction passing a scan. This can occur as speedily once you graduate as you'll take move the direction. There also are a few direction costs licensing costs to keep in mind. FYI: Real property is NOT rapid cash! There are plenty of presently certified sellers no longer making any cash correct now. A truly property profession within the present marketplace is NOT prone to pay for subsequent years institution school. EDIT: NO, being a truly property agent does no longer require any formal schooling. You with ease have got to take a direction authorised through your state.
