- Q: How do plastic tubes compare to polyethylene tubes in terms of flexibility?
- Polyethylene tubes are a type of plastic tube, so they share similar flexibility characteristics.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for plumbing applications?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for plumbing applications. Plastic pipes, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or PEX (cross-linked polyethylene), are commonly used for various plumbing purposes, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and waste pipes. They offer several advantages such as being lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and cost-effective. However, it is important to use the appropriate type and size of plastic tube that meets the specific requirements of the plumbing application.
- Q: i saw that history of middle ear surgery is a disqualifying factor. will they check records from when i was a toddler?
- That really shouldn't keep you out. But even then, you might be able to get a waiver, they grant them sometimes
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for drainage systems?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for drainage systems. Plastic drainage pipes are widely used due to their durability, flexibility, and corrosion resistance. They are commonly used in residential, commercial, and agricultural applications for various types of drainage, including stormwater, wastewater, and foundation drainage systems.
- Q: I have a pond pump and standard aquarium plastic tubing. I will be drilling tiny holes in equal increments throughout the tubing to release the air. Is there an equation to show the air pressure that will be released through the holes? I would like to know how many holes I need and how far to space them to achieve a certain amount of air pressure to be released from a specified length of tubing. This is a test and will not be done under water. A simple diffuser will not work for this application.Ideally I would like a formula where I can input the following and get a result:Tube LengthTube DiameterPump PSITube Hole SizeTube Hole QuantityTube Hole SpacingResultAirflow per Tube HoleAny help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information please let me know.Thank you,
- The flow rate under water will be quite different from the rates in air. Unless all holes are at the same horizontal level the flow rates will vary. As a general rule, the total cross sectional area of all holes must be below 14% of the cross sectional area of the tube to ensure equal flow from each hole along a long length of tube. Along with the pump PSI (What sort of pump? Diaphragm, piston, centrifugal?) the maximum out put is also a factor. If it is a positive displacement pump the full capacity will be distributed through whatever holes are available with the pressure increasing to achieve this.. hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/Hba...
- Q: the tubing , on the door, where water depenses is cracked. how do I replace the tubing?
- Wow! Are you wanting to replace all the tubing inside the door? This can be a very difficult if not impossible job to accomplish. There are countless components that require removal to expose all the tubing for replacement. Although you just ask about the door, the tubing going to the icemaker is embedded in the permanent foam insulation in the cabinet casing. It is also installed in the foam inside the door. They do this to prevent the water inside the tubing from freezing. Most water dispensers are located in the freezer side door. If you just want to replace the short stub of tubing that the water passes through at the dispenser, you should be able to cut off the part that is cracked or split and glue a short food grade piece of tubing on to it using food grade adhesive (available at restaurant supply stores). (Use a short collar of the next larger diameter tubing to join the two pieces. Also available at the supply store.) Good luck!
- Q: At night my hamster wakes up and plays and stuff, well he has these plastic tubes that he can climb up to get to different areas of his cage, he likes to chew on them. My only problem is that it is REALLY loud and I hate the scraping sound it makes. I don't want to take out the tubes because then he would have nothing to play in. And I don't have the money to get him a new cage/glass aquarium and I really would like him to stay with the cage he has now, it's an all plastic cage except the metal bars to keep him in,lol, the brand is Super Pet Critter Trail if you want to loo it up to see what I'm talking about. Me and my mom have tried rubbing lemon juice on it but he liked the taste -.- please help?
- You can get this stuff called bitter apple spray that tastes bad but won't hurt them. Some pet stores have some for small animals, but the dog stuff is really the same thing so if that's all you can find, go for it. It's usually in the dog remedy aisle (with vitamins, hip meds, etc.) Do what the first person said and put it on a cotton ball and wipe it on the bars/plastic. And I agree with what someone else said, maybe he likes to chew on plastic. I don't think any plastic is okay for them to ingest, but then again maybe they're not ingesting it. I work at a pet store and all of our small animals chew up their plastic igloos like crazy, and none have died from digestive/stomach problems. So maybe try one of those? One the right size for a dwarf hamster is like $3-$4. You could try giving him a Nylabone or a Greenies dog treat, those both have a plastic-like texture. If you get a Nylabone I think i'd steer away from the meat-flavored ones. Also, what kind of food are you feeding him? If it's the seed-based kind, maybe if you fed him lab blocks he'd get some of the gnawing out of his system that way. Good luck!
- Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to oil?
- Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to oil.
- Q: What types of closures are available for plastic tubes?
- There are various types of closures available for plastic tubes, including flip top caps, screw caps, snap-on caps, pump dispensers, and dropper tips.
- Q: Home decoration, the wire is a set of PVC tube or galvanized steel pipe? Why?
- Home appliance wiring in the dark needed for the electric tube, according to the needs of different needs to choose, whether it is PVC, galvanized steel pipe or iron pipe, you need to choose on demand.
