Q: I recently purchased a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle and I found that the plastic tube above the fuel tank is cracked. I know that it is some sort of vapor trapping device, but i cannot find a replacement
Plastic? check with dealer parts department. More than likely it is a rubber hose that goes back to the air cleaner in the engine compartment.
Q: The point is to remove as many sticks as you can without the marbles falling through.Anyone know? Thanks :)
Yea kerpluck. good game man good game
Q: What are the requirements for the installation of expansion joints for drainage plastic pipes?
No design requirements, pipeline more than 2 meters should be set expansion joints, expansion joints shall not exceed the maximum distance of 4 meters. Installed in a vertical pipe, height less than 4 meters, each layer should be set up, the height greater than 4 meters, according to the pipe design expansion amount and the maximum allowable elongation to determine the expansion joint.
Q: I have a long flexible 1 plastic tube that is attached to itself forming a closed circuit and I'd like to add an electric blower to it to flow air continuously that will make a small ball go around continuously. I'd like to splice the blower into the 1 plastic tube but need to know where or how to exhaust the air to keep the air circuit moving continuously in one direction.
You can't place the blower in-line, as that will block the ball unless you have a specially built blower so that it can allow the ball to pass through the blower You need an arrangement that is something like a jet pump used for pumping water. The blower needs to be big enough (needs to move sufficient air volume) such that the amount of air in the tube is a relatively small fraction of the total air being moved by the blower. The blower needs to be connected to the main loop via a wye. A second wye, oriented in the opposite direction allows air to exhaust from the loop. A trap (parallel bars in the wye) is necessary to keep the ball from exiting the wye. The cross-sectional area of the loop between the wyes needs to be large enough so that you don't produce back pressure on the loop due to the blower's pressure. It is going to take some fussing around with the diameter of the loop between the two wyes and with the outlet diameter of the exhaust to get it right. Think of a loop with a line tangent to the loop and connected to the loop. Your blower is at one end of the line and the exhaust is at the other end. All you are doing is blowing air past the air that resides in the line, dragging those air molecules along with the velocity of the air being injected by the blower. A small fraction of the air will circulate around the loop and will carry the ball with it.
Q: It seems to me that if this country is serious about environmental issues, we should not be packaging products in anything that cannot be recycled. The world is becoming one big garbage dump!
It may not be economical, contamination from the contents, or the plastic type used may not be one suitable for reprocessing. Not all plastics can be conveniently recycled. Cosmetics are a multi billion dollar a year business. If you want to see responsible packaging, you may have to do without the conveniences of some types of packaging. However if you are serious- There are environmentally freindly alternatives available, plus you can vote with your wallet- don't buy the products if they are not easily recycled if that is your choice. If you see a phone number or a web address on a bottle or packaging- contact them, let them know of your dismay about the packaging and ask they change it to something more suitable. After all, it only took one letter of disapproval for Mitsubishi to cut all advertising on the Fox show Married with Children because that one person did not like how the show portrayed the family and she did not think Mitsubishi should sponsor it because of that. They agreed with her and pulled their ads. The right letter to the right person at the right time can sometimes make all the difference in the world.

Don't pull to hard on the copper tube or U can damage the oring at the to and then the work begins.
Q: just curious about commerce. . .
Because they are not making plastic tube radios anymore. Human bones are made all the time.
Q: Im currently looking for some plastic non toxic tubing for drinking hats to drink from. I prefer it to be a store locally. I know there are available tubes online but I dont want to order it from the internet. Can anyone popup a very well known store that sells plastic tubing (good length)? Preferably close to Vegas...
go to Ace hardware store and get what you need
Q: Are plastic tubes BPA-free?
Yes, plastic tubes can be BPA-free. BPA stands for Bisphenol A, which is a chemical used in the production of certain types of plastic. However, many manufacturers now produce plastic tubes that are specifically labeled as BPA-free, indicating that they do not contain this chemical.
