- Q:My child is 4 years old. She had a small plastic tube inserted to open up her tear ducts. The tube fell out that same night as the procedure. What can I do? Will she need another surgery?
- I think this is a question for the specialist. Call them immediately. I would rather than asking strangers- grab the phone book, call after hour number and get the proper answer there. I hope that she is okay. I hope that she will not need more surgery. I speculate that since it was unsuccessful that she will require it.Though, I am no doctor. I don't mean to be cross, I just hope you call them, regardless of what time it is. There is always an after hours on-call doctor to help! Good luck to you and your daughter!
- Q:Can plastic tubes be used for chemical dosing systems?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for chemical dosing systems. Plastic tubes are commonly used in chemical dosing systems due to their resistance to corrosion and chemicals, as well as their flexibility and affordability.
- Q:I am hoping someone has designed a new, innovative style or shape of a bread box that is more functional as well. Is this a possibility or am I fantasizing about a bread box of the future? Anyone know where to buy one?
- How about working with a nationally renowned woodworking artist to incorporate your thoughts with their ability at an affordable price?
- Q:I need to clean my gravel and have read a bunch of reveiws on the gravel cleaning syphons and I don't want to waste my money on a cleaner that doesnt work. I might not be using the correct term for the product, it is one of those tubes that you shake to create a syphon. Thanks for all your help
- Biorb Synphon
- Q:I remember when I was a kid my mother had a bunch of different cake decorating tubes in various colors and I'm pretty sure she still has them - and may use them, lol! OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but seriously, how long can I keep and use those little plastic squirt tubes of colored icing that you use to decorate cakes and cookies - realistically? Thanks!
- Those tubes you are referring to are icing. I am sure they must have preservatives in them to make them last longer. I think there should be a date on the tube which would say. Best if used by..... I know that with my buttercream icing, which I make at home, It will stay good on the counter top for about 2 weeks. I wouldn't want to eat it after that. If your icing tubes were kept in the freezer you could keep them for a year or more.
- Q:the tube is way to tight.. what should i do?.. what would the workers at hobby shops do?
- Plastic often gets soft when warmed. But be carefull not to overheat nor to tear it when you force the antenna through. Patience is the most needed 'tool'. To warm the tube, when it is still un-attached, try dipping it in lukewarm water, keeping the ends out to avoid water getting in. If it is working but not enough, take a second 'bath' a little warmer. If the tube is already in place, try a blow-dryer, on low heat and only a few seconds as first. Lengthen the time if it is not enough. Be carefull about heating the model, as parts are often glued with hot-glue and might get unstuck if to warm.
- Q:What are the disadvantages of using plastic tubes?
- One major disadvantage of using plastic tubes is their negative impact on the environment. Plastic is not biodegradable and can take hundreds of years to decompose, leading to pollution and harm to ecosystems. Additionally, plastic tubes often require the extraction and processing of fossil fuels, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. Moreover, plastic tubes can leach harmful chemicals into the substances they contain, posing health risks. Lastly, plastic tubes are less durable compared to other materials, making them prone to breakage and requiring frequent replacements, increasing waste generation.
- Q:Are plastic tubes resistant to oil?
- Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to oil.
- Q:Can plastic tubes be used for gas lines?
- No, plastic tubes are not suitable for gas lines as they are not strong enough to handle high-pressure gases, are prone to degradation and can potentially leak or cause safety hazards.
- Q:What are the common sizes of plastic tubes used for bottling?
- The common sizes of plastic tubes used for bottling vary, but some of the most commonly used sizes include 1.5 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz.
