Apparently when building a laptop, you really don't have a lot of flexability like a desktop, but anything is better than nothing. I personally would go with the following for a gaming laptop. nVidia graphics card with at least 128 MB At least 1 GB of RAM 17 wide screen monitor is nice, but at least a 15.4 AMD processor. dual core if you can get one for a laptop.

- It basicly all depends on your personal needs for example u wont be able to play any new games or let's say edit videos. if you are planning on doing that kind of stuff u will surely need a high end laptop. now if u just need a laptop to browse the internet a bit or check your facebook a mini laptop will be more than sufficient. do keep in mind that a laptop will never be able to replace the average desktop. atleast not in a same price range. Also using a laptop for very demanding applications(photoshop, games, etc.) will basicly take away the mobility of it since your battery won't last all that long. hope this helps in any way. greetz

- Q: I would like a price range of around 1,000 dollars. Basically what I'm looking for is something that would be considered empty. I don't mind it not being a mainstream brand, so by empty I mean without having AOL or ITunes, or any other program already loaded on the laptop that is not necissary. I'm not sure what the selection of these types of laptops on them are,so anything will do. If not, then suggesting a well balanced laptop will do fine :D. - Er no. You laptop is a laptop and a router is a router. Each is built for a specific job. If you have a router, just connect the Ethernet cable to that and connect it to your Xbox. You shouldn't need to use the cable to connect the router to your laptop anyway if you have a wireless-enabled laptop.
