I don't know what you mean by redneck (what state are you in?) but most off road places can get you an air bag lift kit.
Q:HiI have a 2002 Lancer OZ Rally and it is my daily car.On weekends i used to do large trips in highways, and i wanta better response for the highway times (more sporty).The other day i have the opportunity to drive a couple of carsthat has adjustable damping (Lexus LX470) and i could change the suspensionresponse whenever i want to only by turning a small switch (Fromsport to comfort).I would like to know if i can get this kind of system from anycompany for my lancer. I would like to know which company,quality, costs (please not to expensive), and othe things.If it possible.Last thing, please do not answer anything like Buy another car orsomething like that, cause if that were possible i wouldn‘t be askingthis in the first place.Thanks

Q:I put taller coil springs and new front struts on my 2wd and it‘s like impossible to compress the truck even on a large bump its so hard, I mean is this good or bad? It doesn‘t bother me but is it hurting anything?
Howard is right, its okay to put a stiffer suspension in, if you are going to use the truck as more of a work truck, however, if your truck is a light duty 1/2 ton, the extra stress could cause other parts of your truck to be overworked, causing damage, to your engine and drive-train.
Q:I read that Telsa has a ‘air‘ suspension option. And I read that another car, different company, has a ‘hydraulic‘ suspension option. When I read about suspension options on the internet for every-day cars, it involves a pump and the ability to raise or lower the vehicle. Most are manually-controlled, the higher-end cars offer automatic control. Like raising the car to go over speed bumps.What I do not read anywhere on the internet is what these new ‘automatic‘ suspension systems do for normal daily DRIVING. Can you handle curves faster? Turn corners faster? Automatically raise/lower the car, depending upon what is ahead of you? Or is this just a pricey gimmick? I think that the existing knowledge of suspension, like bigger sway bars, and so on, would work just as well as the pump-controlled air or hydraulic systems. But I am possibly wrong.I know nothing about these new systems. Any one have any knowledge or thoughts?
Cars with air bag suspensions have a smoother ride, and they still have anti-sway bars to control body roll in turns. There are also air bags you can add to a car or truck to make it handle additional weight, like when towing a trailer. Hydraulic suspensions in cars are for these guys who like to raise or lower the car for show purposes, or to make them bounce up and down. These idiots actually have contests to see who can bounce their car the highest. Cars with hydraulics have a VERY rough ride, as there is NO travel in the suspension, but these dummies don't seem to care.
Q:I am trying to find any information on Automotive Chassis, like what they do, and why they are important, and maybe how to repair them.
The chassis is just the body of the car. Used to be just the frame, until they found a way to combine the frame with the body into a single unit. The drive system and running gear are ATTACHED to the chassis, but they are not part of it. Same for seats, dash, and steering column. Attached, but not part of. The chassis is the frame without the doors, hood, or trunk lid. It can be repaired by any body shop.

Due to the vehicle center of gravity to the side of the low side, the second side of the tire, hem arm bush, ball, shock spring long-term force is not balanced, the side of the components prone to early damage or fatigue deformation, the vehicle driving body Jitter and other issues.
Q:im going to buy a 1965 impala,it has a 10 switch hydro system, should i take it out and put in airbags or leave it?
It depends on whether you want a hopper or not.The hydro system is complicated and heavy, however it has a ton of thrust, just what you want in a hopper. Now if you want handling as well as in the weeds attitude then by all means go with the air ride suspension, but be forewarned it's going to get pricey fast, so be ready to hand over a ton of green for the conversion.
Q:i have a 1985 buick regal it is not running and was given to me from my grandparents but there is a broken rod. I was thinking of replacing that 3.8L engine with a 305,but what else would i have to change with it? and do you have recommendations with what? tranny? ecm? do i have to change suspension? etc?
Should bolt right in with little alterations. However I would not mess with installing a 305. Install a 350 instead. It will cost you about the same amount of money and you will be much happier with the results. In the upgrade you may want to also consider upgrading the transmission. The Buick Regal with the 3.8L engine used a 200-R4 transmission. This is the same transmission used in the Grand National so it may work with a stock 350. It will bolt up to the 350. However if you do any modifications to this engine this transmission may not be up to the task. The old turbo 350 would work if you can find one. This would be an easy upgrade if you use a stock or mildly built 350. A little better upgrade would be a 700-R4 transmission. This is more equivalent to the old Turbo 400 transmission. It can take a little more torque than the Turbo 350 and is a 4 speed automatic. This may cost you a little more money. This transmission is readily available. It was used in late 80s to late 90s light duty trucks. With either transmission you will require a custom drive shaft. But if you keep with a stock or mildly built 350 you can still use a steel drive shaft which will cost less.
Q:As it stands the whole suspension system is a little harsh, perhaps they should give you temporary suspensions of different lengths depending on the severity other than just locking it out for good.I feel that would encourage people with a lot of points to stick to the terms of use and so they wouldn‘t have to go through the low levels again and likely not change a thing due to frustration.Obviously deletion is still applicable to serious violations however.One other thing how come sometimes when you get a violation you don‘t get an email to clarify what you done wrong?
Not a bad idea. I would not be surprised is that is how trolls are born. Longtime YA users with high levels getting their accounts removed and having to start again over and over. Sometimes YA judgement as to who should be removed and the causes can be askew too. They aren't infallible. Yeah, one of my contacts got a violation without a notice and was able to still appeal it and get the answer reinstated. It was wrongly reported during the voting and still didn't get best answer even though it won more votes because it took too long for YA to reinstate. The other answer with less votes, I think reported it. lol. Some people will sell their souls for 10 points. It is not as if the points really mean anything either.
Q:My car started to show a sign that says RIDE CONTROL. My car is a Lincoln Continental 1990i read the car manual and I followed the steps to turn off that sign, but it wont work. You either have a leak in your brake line or your master cylinder has gone out. Get to the shop ASAP; soon you will have NO brakes.
