Q:I have a 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer and I need a wiring harness (it's trashed). I have come to find that it's been discontinued and I need it very bad I have also called every salvage yard in my whole area and been on OKorder and craigslist. Please help I need this replaced as soon as possible! If it helps any my truck is 4.3 V6 Vortec multiport fuel injection with the w vin. it's only 2WD and is all electric inside.: Salvage yard is your only source. They have a parts locating infrastructure that they can check other salvage yards and they buy from them and sell to you, see if they are trying that for you. They've found some odd ball one year only harnesses for me before that I was sure they wouldn't find.

Q:I want to install a TBI v8 into my 85 Carbureated s10, and I wanted to know if the fuel pump has a wire lead from the engine computer wiring harness to power the fuel pump. I want to keep the fuel system as factory as possible. I will probably get the wiring harness from a later TBI blazer, and just wanted to know about the fuel pump.: first yes there is a wire , second do you have any Idea what you are about to get into ? do you realize you need the whole wiring harness ECM fuellines pump, allso make sure all the above came from the same Source if you a buying these parts from a Salvage yard make sure they gentely unplug eveything not cut or yank the harness Good luck !

Q:i recently bought a JVC head unit for my cavalier and it came with free instalation gear that included a wiring harness (Scosche GM02B / GM02) am i just supposed to connect the matcing wires from my recievers wiring harness to this one? what should i use for the connection?: Usually, the colors of the wires will match up. You should check the manual for the deck, as well as the diagram included with the wiring harness to make sure the wires match by function. The ideal way to connect the wires is with solder. You could use crimpers also. What I've done in the past is strip the wires about 1/2 and twist them together real tight, works best with a pair of needle-nose pliers, and cover each connection with electrical tape. It's worked on 5 installs I've done, so it must hold up pretty welll.

Q:hi i have a 2006 pontiac vibe and and im installing a sub and a after mark it radio in my car and i was wondering if i need a wire harness or if i could just take the wires and connect them together please help: I WOULD GET THE HARNESS, no mess no cutting just better to do.

Q:I recently changed out the spark plugs on my 2006 dodge charger 6 cyl 3.5L. Had to take apart the box with the air filter and disconnect a whole lot of wiring harnesses to get to the plugs. When I put the engine cover back on and started reattaching all the wires and hoses, the red and black tab on my throttle body wiring harness snapped off. The harness is attached to the throttle body but now there is no way to remove it. My check engine light and ETC light came on while driving with code P0507 which is either dirty throttle body or vacuum leak on engine. I do not have the money to take the car to a dealership to fix it and cannot find the harness online (nor would I be able to install it). Any solution would be greatly appreciated.: Damaging a wiring harness was unlucky and that's a pretty penny to fix. Can't really take it to a mechanic because the Throttle control has to be relearned after being fixed and that's something you can only get done at a dealership. The manual itself says the car is driveable with the ETC light on but you'll want to get it fixed if you ever want to change your spark plugs in the future.

Q:I just bought a Metra 80-6502 for my 03 dodge ram 1500. It has 2 ends. One is black and box shaped, the other is white and has a bunch of little boxes. Which end is for what?: Well the white plugs are quick plug ins for the the speakers in the dodge ram. let me guess, the white, gray, grean, and purple wires are the ones that have the white plugs on them right? The black end of the harness is what plugs into the harness on the car. plug it in and make sure it fits. Once it fits disconect it and cut the white plugs off of the other end. Then just wire your new radio up the same way. Just in case you dont know the wireing I will tell you. I dont like to hear people burned a brand new radio or started poping fuses or something. Q:i cant figure out what wires to hook up to the wires in my car, the wireing harness from the car has been cut off so i need to kno which wires to hook up and where. its an xploid cd player.: you will need three power wires (constant, ignition, and ground), plus your speaker wires (8, 10 counting the tweeters) use a test light to test your wires, usually at the radio the yellow wire is your constant, the red is your ignition, and black is always ground to find your constant use the test light, it will be hot at all times so that your radio can remember the time, and your settings- next you need your ignition, it is only hot when the key is on or in the accessory position, to tell the radio when to come on- the ground is self explanatory to find which wires go to what speakers all you need is a 9v battery, put the positive end to a wire and test all of the other wires to the negative side and you will hear a crackling noise from a speaker when you have the right combination hope that's what you were looking for, good luck

Q:Got a new cd player for my car. It comes with wires, but I'd have to splice into my current wiring. Obviously I don't want to do that because Im lazy. So are wiring harnesses sold by make/model and custom fit without any splices? just plug in a male end to a female end of the current harness or what?: Yes they are sold by make and model of your car. And they are also sold by speaker package too (some cars have a system in them). When you get your wire harness adapter make sure to wire the same colors together. Ex. White solid to white solid and white with black stripe to white with black stripe. Properly cover the exposed wires with some heat shrinks. And plug into your factory wire harness. Put the dash all together and go! That simple. I can uninstall and install a new radio with in a max of 30 mins

Q:I have a 01 Nissan frontier xe. I need to know where I can find a wiring harness for the Sony cd player I have that will fit my truck. I bought one but it didn't work. The Sony is a couple years old but is like new. So I figured I'd use it and save a little money. I connected all the wires by the color code pluged it in and nothing happened. When I was done wiring everything. I had three wires left over, orange(illumination)dark blue(antenna)black/white(lightning ground) do I need those if my stereo didn't have them. And what could have been the problem. All my fuses are good. I pluged my stock stereo back in when it didn't work and it fired right up. Anything will help: antenna no radio might stil play disk first you sure you got a hot wire an d a ground wire right dont really need any thing but to tie the wires in right palce to make on e work red hot power black ground rest are speakers wire which also goes to ground wire black ho w sure are you its a good radio

Q:I recently purchased a wiring harness so i could hook up my aftermarket stereo to my 2001 chevy blazer. The Harness i have has every color of wire except for Blue/White which is the wire that i am suppose to hook up my remote wire too from my amplifier. So i dont know where to hook the remote wire too, do i need to get another harness or.?And another question on the harness i have for my pioneer DEH-P4600MP it has all colors for the harness for my blazer except for Orange/White wire. This wire is dimmer so would i just not even worry about hooking that wire up to anything?: Since a stock receiver does not have a remote lead, some aftermarket wiring harnesses will not include it. The head unit however, will have a lead usually marked as such and sometimes terminated with a female bullet connector. Just connect that lead to the remote wire going to your amp remote terminal. If the Blazer wiring harness includes a dimmer lead, connect the orange/white to it. If not, just leave it disconnected and protect the end so that it does not short against other wires or ground. With it disconnected, the receiver lighting will not dim when you turn on the lights.
