- Q:Okay so I am an author of an unofficial story, and I have a bad guy who is in charge of a skeleton army. When my protagonist comes to fight him, I want the boss to be in such a position that his head is detached and siting on his body, while it's shaped like a chair. So basically, a bone chair but the head is not attached. HOWEVER, anyone got Any idea of what will be the back, seat, legs, and maybe armrests? - The problem is making a 4-legged chair-shape out of a skeleton. Otherwise, the tibia/fibula would be the front legs, the femurs would be the seat, the radius/ulna would form the arm of the chair, and the ribs/spine would form the back. There are no bones to make the rear legs...
- Q:I found a very cool shaped very old chair at a junk shop for $5. It is in fairly good shape and sturdy (none of the arms or legs wiggle). But it is missing the seat, which I would imagine was one time a woven cane seat that has fell out. I would prefer not to re-cane a new seat (I have done this before, but I don't find it comfortable to sit on this type of seat and they don't wear well). I would much rather put in a padded upholstered seat, but am not sure how? There is just a large hole in the middle where the seat used to be, and I'm having trouble thinking of ways to attach a piece of wood with padding and upholstery. It doesn't have to be super sturdy, as it won't have more than a 170lb person in it, and will more than likely not be used daily (it will be for our bedroom). - Well, I think the thing to do here is cut a piece of 1/4 plywood and inch or so bigger in each dimension than the hole. then put your piece of foam on it with some spray adhesive, and wrap like quilt batting and upholstery fabric over it and staple underneath. then to attach, without damaging your antique frame, I would say attach some turn button type things. If you glued some blocks onto the plywood just a little thinner than the chair frame, and then some longer blocks screwed to those which trap the chair frame under them.

- Q:Everyone else's chair is causing problems because it sags and goes down over time. My chair gets taller over time, and it's driving me nuts. When I was your age I was talented beyond my years, but in certain situations my body showed signs of nervousness. I had trouble playing guitar standing up because my knees would shake. This would only happen when the audience was very attentive. I guess I felt a bit under the microscope. In more casual situations my nervousness was mostly excitement, and I could deal with it. Here are two suggestions that might prove useful. When you're preparing for an audition, sit back in a comfortable chair in a quiet room. Close your eyes and imagine yourself performing. Pay attention to your muscles. Don't allow yourself to tense up. You're performing at your best, the listeners are hearing your best, and, although you may be a bit nervous, it is only impacting your performance in a positive way. Practice your pieces in your mind this way and - very important - accept that you are indeed this kind of performer, one who does well under pressure. If possible, find a critical audience or listener to perform for as a preparation for an audition. Think about it: it's easy to practice the music, but how do you practice being in front of an adjudicator? You might just have to carry on until you've auditioned enough times and gained enough experience to overcome the problem. Good luck.

- Most likely not, if it's a stage amp. You're going to be making a lot of noise (assumably for a long time!) and the vibrations tend to move things about, even things as big as amps on chairs. It'd just be better to lay it down on the floor. If you really want it risen above the ground, try using something more stable, like a table or stool.
- Q:I found this chair sitting in our garage for about a year now and I want to put it in my bedroom. The problem is that its kinda dirty.. Its like a cream color but it has dark marks on the arms its from my uncles tools. It's not a leather or recliner chair its just a regular sitting chair. - I buy a cleaner at Walmart, Dollar General or Dollar Tree that should work on your chair. It is called LA's Totally AWESOME. It comes in gallon jug, 1/2 gallon or a spray bottle. It's a yellow color liquid. It is very cheap and can be used to clean many things. Use it straight, do not mix with water. I have used it for years on many things and LOVE IT~!!! .....please do not use bleach on the chair.
