Q:My mother has an old rocking chair that i think had a woven seat cushion on it yrs ago, but it has since been ripped off during yrs of storage and use. I want to try to fix the chair so she can sit in it again, but im not sure sure how to weave, it sounds complicated, so im looking for some easy fixes to put a seat on the chair. Any ideas would be helpful.: just replace new seat cushion .. wont cost you more !! mother is much more precious than anything in this world !!

Q:I have received a swivel chair, but it is too low to be used at my desk... I don't want to put a cushion on it because it is a massaging and heating one lol..: It would help to see the chair. I dont believe that part controls the height of the chair. Typically it is a gas cylinder with either a leaver under the seat or piece of the seat. There are chairs that you spin to adjust height but considering your chair is massaging and heating, i would assume it is raised and lowered with the gas cylinder. If the gas cylinder is not working it may not be making a good connection. (when you pull the lever it pushes a button on the top of the gas cylinder which causes it to raise/lower) If you put the chair together yourself I would make sure that the gas cylinder is pushed all the way into the under chair bracket. Otherwise contact the manufacturer and they should send you the replacement part.

Q:Okay, this is a serious question. When I smell my seat, it straight up smells like farts. I am a clean person and occassionally let one rip (like anyone else), but it seems like my computer chair absorbs the smell.Is this normal? Do all chairs smell like this eventually? You know the Polyprophylene Chairs in Offices and Churches and Municipal Buildings. I am not going to smell my own Chair for you. Try washing it and then have a sniff when dry. Give it a Blast of Febreeze to get rid of the nasty Pong. LOL.

Look for something ergonomic (not just the word ergonomic but true feature). Look for seat depth adjustment, independent backrest, lumbar support and what type of foam they use. Molded injection is more durable and lasts longer, cut foam is softer but doesn't hold up as well. As for price you are probably looking at $250+ but should get a lifetime warranty and plenty of use from the chair average 8 years.

Q:i was just curious about the cost.. i do plan on looking in my local phone book for a chair rental company.. but i was just curious about the average cost ?in other places.. that way i can see if i'm getting gipped or something: I rent chairs all the time. In my area (SF Bay Area), white plastic folding chairs are 1.55, wood folding chairs with padded seats are 3.75 and chiavari chairs (a bamboo look) with a seat cushion are 8.75. The delivery is 125.00 IF you can do it ANYTIME on a weekday and have pickup ANYTIME on a weekday. Otherwise, if you're talking about timed delivery and timed, late-night pickup, it's 450.00. Also, here's the doozy: setup and takedown of each chair is 1.75 to 3.00 each, depending on the chair. If you have friends that can do your chair setup and takedown, that will save you a bundle. Do use a bigger, nicer rental company or you may end up with beat-up chairs that have been badly repainted. I know my company isn't the cheapest, but I know they are the only one I can count on for decent products. Good luck!

Q:I have a black faux leather chair. The material isn't ripped or torn, it is more cracked and worn. Is there a way to fix it without recovering it?: not really, there are vinyl repair kits for tears, but cracking is just too small to repair well. Its probably not worth recovereing since it was not a expensive chair to begin with I imagine., What you can do is great awesome form fitting covers now that are hard to tell that its a cover.
