Q:Hi i am 15 years old and i started working out not too long ago and i could bench press 135 twice on a good day ;)could someone give me a few tips on how to increase my bench press. Thanks!
start out little and do alot of it. start out with 25 on each side and do like 10 and rest then 10 again..keep doing that until u get stronger and slowly add more wieghts.
Q:Ok, so I got my hands on a 1920-1930s Phonola record player and I have some records that came with it, the music in them is really really outdated but cool. But I would like to create some records of my own. Any ideas on how to press, and record audio in them
The process for making a vinyl recording starts with cutting tracks into a blank vinyl disk. This is done with a special machine using a diamond stylus attached to a turntable. These days, you're looking at thousands of dollars for a vinyl cutting machine. Once the master is made, you would make copies by pressing them...this isn't something you would need to do. Even if you have the $10k for a Vestax VRX-2000 machine to cut the masters, it only records on slower speeds.....your antique most likely plays on 78 rpm. Back in the 1950's, before tape recorders had become widely available, there were home record makers. These never caught on in a big way, but at least they were affordable. If you watch eBay, you may be able to find one. Be warned, the quality of these recordings was poor.....but I don't imagine your Phonola is exactly hi-fi. As a practical matter, I'd advise you to enjoy your existing recordings for what they are: a piece of musical and social history. Excellent music exists beyond our present day tastes, and you have some of it. If you absolutely need to hear modern music on vinyl, your cheapest route will be to purchase a modern turntable.
Q:LEFT RIB PAIN WHEN PRESSED?Hi, My question is I am facing pain sometimes when I press my left rib above stomach below heart.I smoke and I also have cool drinks like Pepsi, Coke, Sprite or 7Up on daily basis. I wanted to know whether am I suffering from Cancer or any such diseases, my age is 23 now. To add on I have never fell down or had an injury. Please help me
how long has it been going on? if not too long and it only hurts when u push on it, it is probably just a pulled muscle. if its been a while could be a broken rib if it hurts to breath and all the time
Q:I just recently heard of the leaf pressing hobby and it sounds fun and interesting but I do not know much, so I may sound very new and stupid but I'd love it if you helped!1. How long should I press the leaves for?2. How long would they last?3. Should I hang them up or find a nice sized journal with blank pages to put them in?4. IF I hung them up, what sort of paper would I use and how?5. IF I used a nice journal, how would I attach the leaves? I think I saw someone who threaded them on, would that be an okay way to do so?I think that that's about all I have to ask, but if you have any tips and tricks let me know!Thank you!
You can press them in any heavy book that you don't mind the risk of staining. If you don't have a book like that, you can sandwich each leaf between two sheets of waxed paper.
Q:In a batch file, I know what this will do.set/p cho=gt;if %cho%==w goto UPif %cho%==a goto LEFTif %cho%==d goto RIGHTYou press the key, hit enter, and it goes to the corresponding section in the batch file. But how do I make it, so when the user of the file presses one key, it goes to that section instantly without having to press enter?
Something like this ECHO OFF SET Choice= SET /P Choice=Press enter to open abc.exe (and something else to quit) IF %Choice%== GOTO Start GOTO End :Start echo abc.exe about to start abc.exe :End EDIT: If you want just any key without pressing enter then this is impossible with the DOS scripting language but you could write a little exe utility who will do that for you. Here is how it looks: C:Usersholtest Press enter to open abc.exe (and something else to quit) If you press enter then we get: C:Usersholtest2 Press enter to open abc.exe (and something else to quit) abc.exe about to start 'abc.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. C:Usershol I have not abc.exe so there is an error message. The other way around C:Usersholtest2 Press enter to open abc.exe (and something else to quit)x gives C:Usersholtest2 Press enter to open abc.exe (and something else to quit)x C:Usershol Basically set /p ask the user to specify the value of Choice when it is just enter then it is an empty string and we can start otherwise we end. Change it around for your liking.
Q:I can military press 100lb dumbbells (one in each hand) with ease. I've worked really hard to get up to this point, but......100lbs dumbbells are the heaviest that my gym has, so I have to move on to the barbell. Since the dumbbells isolate both shoulders, I should technically be able to military press more with the barbell than I should with dumbbells, right? Does starting off at 205 or 215 sound like a good idea? I've only been lifting (seriously) for about 2 years, so I'm still somewhat of a noob. Thanks!
Yeah, you can probably do as much as 245 lbs even In my experience (and this is none scientific at all) but in my experience, when I use barbells instead of dumbells for exercises like that (bench press, overhead press, bent over rows) - the amount of weight I can add to each side is almost identical to the weight of the dumbbells. So by that logic, you could add 100lbs to each side of a barbell, making the weight 245lbs HOWEVER, the form is slightly different, so I would advice to start at an even 200 and focus on perfecting the form. be careful with the changes. Watch your chin (you have to move your neck out of the way) and watch your back - you have to squeeze your glutes so your lower back doesn't arch. Also watch the positioning of your hands on the barbell as its slightly different. A narrower grip will work your shoulders primarily, but hit your triceps quite hard. A wider grip will work your shoulders and your upper chest the most.
Q:If the printing press had been around in the 1st century would the Catholic church as we know it even exist today?
And what if there were no more theoretical questions? What has happened in the past is done. Why do we insist on convoluting what is a fait accompli with a bunch of what-ifs that have no impact upon past, present, or future? I'm more concerned with what happens now and in the future, BASED upon what the past has given us. Kinda reminds me of the old George Carlin routine (when George was GOOD), when his character, the Hippy-Dippy Weatherman was part of the Church of What's Happening Now. While the past gives us our present, continually speculating about the past is, for me, as waste of time and effort. Have a blessed day.
Q:I have heard that bench pressing is bad for swimmers because it can mess up their range of motion...Is this true?If not, should I consider it as a swimmer and could it help me improve?
truth be told i mean working the muscles out is good but bench pressing is a no 1 it will make you bulky and stock you up which makes it harder to swim fast and stay aflot[muscle is denser than fat] so yeah you'll have muscle to swim with fats but the fact that you can't stay afloat will slow you down. dry land = a swimmer's besty if no pool is available bench press= your frenemy it helps but it can also crush you to be honest stay away from it if you can.
Q:is there code in java to process a certain code only while a button is pressed once its released the code stops executuing
well u can use on press command or u can use event delegation model and use MOUSE LISTENER interface, usin' which u can use mouseclick function over the coordinates of the button, which u can get usin' getx and gety function for the position of the button.
Q:I just want to know if I can cause unconsciousness by pressing common carotid arteries. If it is possible (I heard it is), where should I press it, how much and how long? Is it dangerous?Than I do martial arts and our instructor says that there is a chop headed to the neck, which causes unconsciousness in a moment. Do it cause nerves, or common carotid artery? It is hard to imagine... How can it be done?P. S.: sorry for my English
Pressing on the Carotid arteries is dangerous because it can stop, or fatally slow someones pulse. As an emergency department worker, I have seen nurses and doctors push on the Carotid arteries of patients whose pulse was in the 200+, causing their pulse to drop to 100 or 90 sometimes lower. I would not recommend doing it!
