Cast Iron Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump
Description of Cast Iron Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump
CDL/CDLF is a kind of vertical nonself priming multistage centrifugal pump, which is driven by a standard electric motor.
The motor output shaft directly connects with the pump shaft through a coupling.
The pressureresistant cylinder and flow passage components are fixed between pump head and inand outlet section with tiebar bolts. The inlet and outlet are located at the pump bottom at the same plane.
This kind of pump can be equipped with an intelligent protector to effectively prevent it from dry-running, out-of-phase and overload.

- Q:I'm only 18 and don't know much about cars, but my car was overheating so me and my boyfriend brought it to a mechanic. They told me it needs a new timing belt and water pump and that alone would be like 1450.. From my research that sounds like bullshit. By the way I drive a 2000 neon, is it THAT hard to work on, or am I being ripped off?
- sounds like a lot of money also i am not sure that's the problem better get a second opinion
- Q:When you are replacing a water pump on a vehicle, should you replace the timing belt on the vehicle as well?
- It depends on the make of the car. Some Hondas and Meesoshitties require replacement of the timing belt whenever it is removed due to stress factors and crap. So it is always a good idea to go ahead and do since on a lot of front wheel drive cars you will have everything off in front of the timing belt anyways. So might as well do it right? Better that than end up on the freeway with a snapped timing belt. Not fun.
- Q:how can i choose a water pump that is truely on demand as in shuts off when not needed automaticly i purchaced one that claimed it was a quot;demandpump is mine defective or not a true on demand pump?
- RV section is probably under cars and transportation, others. On demand pumps are quite common and used in many RV's.
- Q:1998 BMW 328i : to replace water pump, thermostat and gaskets, brake flush, fuel system cleaning with tune up,drive belt for 90k serivce; totally how much bucks?thx a lot !
- At okorder to prevent mechanics from trying to rip you on the parts.... and they might not be trying to... but their prices are higher than bav's. PS... the 90K mile service is A LOT... I have never paid anyone to do it. Look in the back of your owners manual, it tells you everything they check. I check it all myself. If you change your own oil scope things out while your under the car. It's easy to spot stuff that is wearing out. You can reset the service light yourself too. :P If you don't know anything about cars however.... don't try doing it yourself.... in other words... if you are scared of doing it, don't... if you feel confident... go for it. Also... the first time you do things it might take an hour... second time will take 30 mins... 3rd time you do something it will take 10-15 mins. Most of the projects I have done have been like that. From rebuilding the internal door mechanisms to working on the engine... that's how it's been for me. Key is to not let yourself get frustrated.
- Q:Hi! I need to find out what kind of water pump I need to buy for an 1978 Swinger RV we just bought to refurbish. I've searched the internet, but nothing seems to tell me what kind I need.
- Need to know engine type and size. Without this info, not possible to help you!
- Q:I have a 1997 mercedes 320e and it is leaking very bad. I need a temporary fix for the water pump, so that I can take it to the repair shop that is 10 min. away.
- old mechanic trick get pepper and pour it in there/use a whole box if you have it/works
- Q:My husband has a 78 t-bird and it has steam comming out of it. He replaced the water-pump 2 to 2 1/2 yrs ago. The warranty was only for 1 year should it need to be replaced this soon?
- there is no set time a water pump will last, I have seen them last 200,000 miles and I have seen them last 4,000 miles.
- Q:i drove up a hill which was about a mile and when i got up the hill i drove anther half a mile to my location and as soon as i tuned my car off i notice coolant leak for the reservoir tank and being dumb i took the cap off off and i think you know so i drove it home after letting it return to a lower temp and it didn't run hot it just raised 2 line above the middle marker and i ran it today just to idle and refilled the tank and let it run it didn't leak but the Serpentine belt made a noise not loud but noticeable (could this be a bad water pump and i flushed my radiator before they swapped engine out which was not long ago) the current engine is used and run fine with power and pep
- dont suspect fault, the noise is water on the belt ,will dry out and should be good.
- Q:can stress from to much weight cause the engine to get hot and cause your water pump to leak out the weep hole? and what else causes it to leak?
- This could be normal wear-and tear. Poor cooling system maintenance will cause a water pump to fail premtutrely.
- Q:We have fresh running water..no well... We just want to install it on our playground for the kids to experience a manual water pump. Can it be attached to running water? Do I need a tank? Help! Thank YOU!
- With no offense meant at all to answer 1... I grew up without indoor plumbing on a farm. ALSO while this is to be functional it reads as if it's to be a demonstration of the process of lifting water by means of the action of a pump. I suggest certainly that it not strictly be a means for practical use IE: drinking; etc. Obviously you'd need a receptacle that will hold enough water to allow the pump to perform. A 5 gallon paint bucket could suffice perhaps. A platorm to bolt the pump head to, and perhaps some method of keeping it all from spilling over when eager students engage with it. I have never checked with HD or Lowes, but certainly online you'd get an answer rather quickly. Farm/Feed stores most definitely would have functional hand crank/lever, water pumps. Also often sold in RED or GREEN,,,smile. I'll assume you have a custodian/maintenance person/husbands/boyfriends/fathers/mothe... who would be happy to get involved and you could be pumping in less than an hour. The situation obviously can be portable and brought indoors at the end of any day you choose to use it for the purposes you define. Steven Wolf
