Q:which is best for a bearded dragon? sand or cage carpet? thanks
it depends on the age really carpet making sure it is reptile carpet is a smarter choice but as your dragon gets older sand is ok but i find it is easier to clean off a carpet because in the sand you have to sift it to get at the poop and even then the sand harbors the bacteria and it make the cage smell worse really if you think sand would make him feel more like at home well not really because his ancestors like 50 or 60 years ago were in sand they don't care as long as it is comfy and warm. but really the carpet is easier to clean wont cost a fortune if the cage is really big and some brands the carpet keeps the dragons claws dull and a better shorter length hope i helped.
Q:we are trying to remove the old carpets in my house. you see last year, are air conditioner broke and leaked fluid all over the hallway carpet, and now we're trying to remove them. how do you do it with out ruining the floor below.
using a utility knife, pull the carpet up from the wall and begin cutting it in managable peices puling the carpet up a yoititu cut into
Q:I have a large square area rug (12x16ish), it has different colored (brown, blue, burgundy, tan, etc.) squares all over it. It got left out side in the weather most of the winter. If I were to dry it out and clean it could I do anything to make it nicer? Like, could I paint it or something? I put it outside in the first place because it was starting to get thin in spots and some of it was faded. t had to be vacuumed all the time because it was like colored dry rotted thread dust was coming off of it. I was wondering if anyone could come up with some last resort ideas before I take it to the dump. I'm not really sure if it could be painted because its like carpet???? but is there a type of vacuum-able fabric or something I could glue to it or any ideas like that?
sounds like the rug is pretty much worn out, I think the only thing you could do would be to make small door mats from the areas that are still somewhat in good shape and throw the rest away. Once a material has become so degraded as you describe, there is is no way to save it, plus it only makes cleaning and maintenance more difficult because it is constantly falling apart right under your feet.
Q:hey, how y'all doin? im redoing my bedroom and im looking for an ivory/beige accent rug. do ya'll have any suggestions where i can get one..im looking for something real inexpensive, like $20-$40.i appreciate the help!

Q:How to clean the coke on the carpet!
Wash, carpet can be washed.
Q:we have NO PETS but every time I vacuum, it fills up with CARPET! I will do one spot over and over again and it will still fill up with CARPET!!! (lol)Why is this?!?!We have the top-of-the-line quot;plushquot; carpet if that helps any.
Your vacuuming too much. New carpets will shed, bad carpet will shed, fringe gets pulled off lift vac off ends Use higher setting or less suction.
Q:I was wondering how shark steam mop performed on carpets. does it remove stains and spots?
I don't own one, but they appear to be designed for hard flooring such as tile and linoleum. There's only a cloth at the bottom where the steam passes through. I think you'd really be struggling trying to use one on carpet. A better alternative would be a carpet cleaner, Bissell and Hoover are both good brands. Expect to pay $150-300 and up. But for a budget, I love the Little Green Machine by Bissell which is much smaller. Don't try to clean an entire carpeted area with it or you'll be exhausted! But it's great for cleaning upholstery and for picking up spills on carpet, and doesn't take up a lot of storage space. Costs around $100 and you can get it at WalMart and many other retailers. Then if you need to do your whole carpet, you can rent an extractor for around $25 (check with your local supermarket, they probably rent Rug Doctor, etc.). You can get the job done in a day and not have a bulky machine taking up valuable closet space the rest of the year.
Q:How can I clean my carpet really well without using a steamer/shampooer? There's no stains on it and I vacuum regularly, but when my baby starts crawling i don't want a nasty germy, oil/dirt infested, carpet. What products are good?
the best thing to do if you are going to have the baby on the floor is not to use any chemicals at all. juts do this take hot water and mix in about a tablespoon of liquid dish detergant then take a stiff scrub brush and dip it in the water. Shake the bursh so most of the water comes out, then brush it over the carpet a few times and wipe with a soft cloth. when the carpet dries run the vacuum over it. It will get the dirt and oil out of your carpet and can also remove the stains from regular wear on your carpet. It may be allitle time consuming but it works well and is more healty for your child since there are no harmfull chemicals in the soap.
Q:So I hav nailpolish on my carpet and its all smeared and nailpolish remover isnt working! Its all dried out and smeared!! Help!!!!
Please okorder .
Q:we live in a rented apartment, we have carpet installed but we would prefer hard wood so much better. is there a way, inexpensive much preferred, to have hard wood over the carpet without damaging the carpet? hope to hear some interesting suggestions, thanks!!
The tile floor would be ruined, and the value of the house lessened, but it can be done. A better idea, if the tile is nice is to buy large area rugs which have no slip padding on the back. It will be easier to keep the room clean also, around the walls, etc. Wall to wall carpeting really picks up a lot of awful stuff, look how much dirt you sweep up each day? A tile floor is healthier than wall to wall. Get some better shoes for indoors, although I have marble and tile and love the feel on my feet, which no longer hurt as they used to.? Don't know what that means for you, though, Good Luck
