Q:I have air bag light on for 4 days, my horn and rear wiper are working, in AutoZone cannot find the code,, I call Chrysler , my van do not have recall, what possible can be? clock spring, can my air bag go on after some time?? thank you

Its a very common problem in dodge products. No the air bag will not go off because of the light the light is telling you something is wrong with the system,It could be as simple as a defective seat belt or if you live in the salt belt as i do it can be a corroded crash sensor.these codes can be read but not by auto zone scantools you need to go to a shop that deals with airbags such as the dealer or a body shop. Dont worry the airbag wont deploy by itself,but you need it checked in case of a accident.

Q:Does anyone have a problem with Sony HVR-Z7 when shooting in a room that have strip lights?

The cycle rate of the lamps is conflicting with the scan rate of the camera. A common problem. First thing to do is to take control of the white balance, if you are using auto WB this will accentuate the problem, so either set a manual WB under the strip lighting, or use a preset and fix in post, auto uses a tracer system which is confused by strip lighting. If your camera has the option you may want to try recording in clearscan mode (my Sony DSR-570 has it, as do the Canon XM2 and XL2, don't know about the Z7) and get the scan of the chip in synch with the scan of the lights. The only other options involve using a slower shutter which can affect other motion, or shooting in porgressive mode, which again will affect motion. A third way is to deinterlace in the edit, though this is at the expense of horizontal resolution.

Q:And of course the check engine light. I have taken it to an AutoZone, and the code came back stating that the ignition area had problems. So I had the spark plugs changed, a week ago. This morning, as I was driving into work, lo the lights came on again. Oy, I'm not sure what to do next? Flush the coolant system? Take it to a mechanic to look at??

Any mechanic with a brain knows that you have a problem with the ABS system that sets those lights together. You need an ABS scan tool...NOT the code reader for OBD II that the sales people at auto stores have. You also don't want the High School dropouts working at the fast lube oil change joints to diagnose (guess in their case) your problem. Go tot he dealer if you want this done right. I 'm making an educated guess it's going to be a bad wheel speed sensor in the left or right front.

The check engine light comes on for a reason, the 2003 is OBD II compliant and means that there is something wrong with the Emission system, there is another check engine light that you need to be concerned with and that's the one for over heating and low oil pressure warning light. Since you did not elaborate I wanted you to make sure you have checked the oil in the car and the coolant level in the Radiator is ok, a few other things to check is are there belts missing? is the gas cap tight? once you find this out then go and have the codes read then you would have to post the codes in order to know what may be wrong. Some cars used to have lights that a mechanic had to rest after so many miles, and that was to make sure the customer brought the car in to check it for possible problems, and did not mean anything but that. But your Year is not set that way, Once you fix the problem you can clear the codes.

Q:I have sony 6x9‘s and 6 1/2 for speakers which are hooked up to the amp that came with the car. i also have 2 12‘ Infinty‘s with a rockford 8 gauge amp kit and p-400 amp. the dealer i got them installed at said i do not need one but my speedometer lights go off and on when they want?? need a little help please!? thanks

Additives are for suckers. Additives usually require gallons to make a difference to a full tank of gas. For example the octane boosters an .1 octane. People usually miss read and think its 1 per bottle. You could pour a gallon of toluene in and that would help but its $17 a gallon. Save your money additives are for suckers.really.

Q:What is the best portable Auto gps on the market today. I'd like one that updates automatically and uses the cigarette lighter for power.

Well....I don't know of any navigation systems in the market that will automatically update there's some that use Cd's to update. In my opinion Garmin's are great.....Good Luck
