If you think you have several thousand pounds call around to the scrap metel places them selves and see if they will come and get it. You will get a portion of the money. Some scrap metel places are now doing the pickup deal, and even bringing 40 yard dumpsters for people to load up. It really depends on the estimated weight as to what I would do.
