Q: Can solar panels be connected to the grid?
Yes, solar panels can be connected to the grid.
Q: solar panels!!they are fantastic! cause they are the new way of quot;chargingyour home, without killing the earth!would you install them, or not? and make sure you say WHY
If your house was not built to include solar panels, it may encounter problems that most people do not consider. For example, your neighbor may plant trees nearby and they could shade your panels. Your house may not have good alignment with the sun, so your net hours of sunshine may be too small. If your local planning folks allow panels and your house is oriented properly to the sun and no trees will block the sun, I suspect it will be a good investment long term. Still the up front cost is high. I feel that common folk like myself would be better served if we could buy shares in our local power company by purchasing a number of panels ... offered and installed by them ... and that we would then get a net monitoring of both our own electrical use and a reduction on our electric bill for the portion of our investment. That way, it seems we could each make a small investment in solar and add to that investment as we earn more money ... and essentially eliminate the need for new centralized power plants. How many malls does your city have that are completely empty and could be returned to the community as a mini power plant site. My city is loaded with malls that nobody uses anymore. Businesses move and and fail because nobody goes there. They go to the new more sexy malls. Several of these outdated malls have power lines running directly through their empty parking lots. Why not have community solar investments in these sites? Every building could include solar panels and the entire parking lot could be covered with panels. The inside of the building could still be used for other routine purposes. The local power company would be the perfect organizer and maintainer. This way solar would not be so expensive. The cost would be shared by many and so would the rewards.
Q: Solar panels are costly.Do you know any inexpensive way?So that i can make one of my own.
You can use mirrors to concentrate sunlight and boil water, but I don't know if that is cheaper. You'd need motors to keep the sunlight focused on the boiler. Or you could build a solar water heater. It doesn't generate electricity but it conserves the power an electric water heater would use.
Q: I would like to connect a solar panel to a small fan. I am not sure as to what is needed to actually quot;connectthe two together. Any help is appreciated.
Solar panel hooked to a battery or two then to a small inverter then to your 20 volt fan ....... Or .... Solar panel to 2 volt battery wired to a 2 volt fan. I use both
Q: What's the best deal going on companies leasing out Solar Panels in California?
Solar okorder
Q: Can solar panels be used on agricultural land?
Yes, solar panels can be used on agricultural land. In fact, solar installations on farms and agricultural areas have become increasingly popular due to the dual benefits they offer. They not only generate clean energy but also provide farmers with an additional revenue stream. By utilizing solar panels on their land, farmers can offset their energy costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Q: Can solar panels withstand extreme weather conditions?
Yes, solar panels are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions. They are built to be durable and can withstand hail, heavy rains, high winds, and even snow loads. Additionally, they are made with materials that can resist corrosion and damage from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Q: Do solar panels require a specific type of mounting system for installation?
Yes, solar panels typically require a specific type of mounting system for installation. The mounting system is designed to securely hold the solar panels in place and ensure optimal positioning for maximum sunlight exposure. There are various types of mounting systems available, including roof mounts, ground mounts, and pole mounts, each suited for different installation scenarios.
Q: i have a fountain system that has a small electric pump. its made to be close to a house but i want it across the driveway and i dont want to run electrical over there.is there a small solar panel that i can get fairly inexpensive to mount on a nearby tree and be able to plug the pump into it?
Home Depot has several sizes for applications such as yours in the gardening section. Because I am always looking for ways to save money, even in the long run, I was looking at the possibility of solar power for here in SW FL.
Q: how would you build a solar panel
i'd go to the solar panel store and buy one. It would be /0 the cost of trying to build one in my HOME shop.
