Calcium Silicon Powder
1. Description:
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.
Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:
(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.
(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.
(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

- Q: Okay, I don't know what the heck nu-metal is...people classify so many bands as nu-metal and those bands all sound different! So tell me, is this nu-metal?
- Power Metal of course, I love fantastical sounding music.
- Q: I would like to know if you concider MetalCore and DeathCore bands metal bands and why. Also do you concider Metal a type of Rock. Last, do you concider MetalCore and DeathCore rock?
- Metal is a very positive outlet for a range of emotions. It's better that you thrash out to some good old METAL than go drinking of taking drugs or fighting. Metal will always rule!
- Q: Is Cradle of Filth Black Metal????
- Nothingface, Devildriver, Clutch, and Beautiful Creatures.
- Q: What are transition metal? How do transition metals react?Do they behave like metals or non-metals?What are some of the properties? Why does the name transition metal suits them?
- Sludge Metal
- Q: I mean, i love Thrash for the most part but i hate Glam for the most part also. And another thing. For every good metal band there are thousands of sh*t ones, thus (per capita) its not the best genre. Feck yee!

- Q: Give the difference between metals and nonmetals.(at least 10).
- all metal detector can detect metals. what is different is their performance
- Q: i need a list of Metal urgently!!! plzzz help
- Metal detectors find metal. It doesn't matter if the metal is shiny or not. They work best on magnetic metals such as iron or steel. Theres a small amount of metal on game circuit boards (usually copper) and speakers contain magnetic metals. Don
- Q: I like it, even though I admit I would have hated it if I'd lived in the '80s.BQ: Favorite hair metal band/song?
- Metals- ususally solid- form cations (+)- usually hard-malleable/ductile-conduct electricity and heat-must lustre silvery (except gold, and copper)-many magnetic - on the lleft side of the (staircase)*mettaloids section on periodic table Non Metals- Make anions - on the right side of staircase (ex- Chlorine, Fluorine,Sulfur, Phosphorous....) - opposite of metal characterisitcs...
- Q: I need some death metal songs to learn on the bass guitar.
- Most elements are metals. They are typically shiny, good conductors of heat and electricity, have a high density, and only melt at high temperatures. Metals are ductile and malleable, so their shape can be easily changed into thin wires or sheets. Metals will corrode, gradually wearing away like rusting iron. Nonmetals, are very different from metals. Their surface is dull and they are poor conductor of heat and electricity. As compared to metals, they have low density and will melt at low temperatures. The shape of a nonmetal cannot be changed easily as they tend to be brittle and will break. Metalloids have properties of both metals and non-metals. Some of the metalloids, such as silicon and germanium, are semi-conductors. This means that they can carry an electrical charge under special conditions. This property makes metalloids useful in computers and calculators .
- Q: is it a metal that acts like a non-metal or other way around?
- Magnetism has to do with unpaired electrons. Electrons spin clockwise or counter clockwise. Generally they are paired. When they are not they create magnetism. Iron has 3 unpaired electrons and demostrates tahe greatest magnetism. cobalt and nickle also demonstrate some magnetism. Also, some of the rare earths and some alloys such as Alnico and steel. RECENTLY, several papers have been published on the use of polarized light for revealing the grain structure of metals and alloys. Hone and Pearson1 showed that by examining under polarized light a polished aluminium surface which had been anodized in a suitable electrolyte, the grain structure was revealed, differently oriented grains appearing with different brightnesses. Woodward2, by etching 'Monel' metal in a specific reagent, has found similar effects. Polished surfaces of aluminium and 'Monel' metal, being optically isotropic, do not react to polarized light as do the optically anisotropic surfaces of tin, zinc, cadmium, etc., and the above authors1,2 have attributed the optical anisotropy of the anodized aluminium and etched 'Monel' metal to the anisotropic properties of the surface film formed during anodizing or etching. Although this explanation may be correct, there is a possible alternative which involves the surface contour of the specimen, for it is well known that if pearlite is examined under polarized light no reaction occurs unless the specimen is etched. This has been shown convincingly by Baeyertz3 to be due to the presence of fine parallel grooves on the surface, formed by etching away the ferrite and leaving the cementite lamell? in relief. Furthermore, Jones4 has shown that polarization effects can be produced by deeply etching a metal surface.
