- The weight of the truck is not effected by the engine running. If it did you can rest assured that there would be demands by the owners that engines be (on/off) while being weighed. It wouldn't be left to the discretion of the operators.

- which type of silo? Bunker silo: depends on cost of concrete in your area, and how much excavating you need to do, as well as your intended size. Also if using a preformed or poured one. Upright silo: Not sure if they even build these anymore, last one we did almost 20 years ago the crew had to drive about 12 hrs, since there was really no one closer. Bag silo: a few bucks a foot if custom done, add in cost of bagger if buying, although the bag itself will be cheaper. a concrete pad is nice here, especially on heavier or wetter ground.

- Well I can't see your figure. You need to have the radius of the hemisphere top that you speak of in order to get a real number answer. The question does not give the final capacity, but I get the idea. Anyway the volume of the cylinder is (pi) r*2 (h of cyl). The volume of the hemisphere is 1/2 a sphere or (2/3)pi(r*3). Add the two volumes together to get a total volume. So the height of the silo = (vol of the cyl)/(pi X r*2). Since you don't have all the numbers I can only solve the equations which will give you the numbers once you find the total capacity and radius of the hemisphere. Good luck
