Any questions, plz feel free contact me!
- Q:Hello, in a Construction project who is required to check the scaffolding equipment?check the installation? and frequently check the scaffold during the day?is it the Planning supervisor, Contractor, Principle contractor, CDM coordinator or Works manager
- Any safety issue should be monitored by all parties involved. It is the Construction Manager's responsibility to MONITOR that his/her subcontractors are following OSHA regulations. If OSHA comes in, they will fine the subcontractor AND the General contractor if they cannot provide documentation that they are holding the subcontractor accountable.
- Q:Is there any reason why you shouldn't?
- I think that depends on the application and how you want your floor to look. They tend to be about 2 thick and wide (which is good for a scaffold). But most flooring is only 3/4 thick. If you have a way to resaw them that might be good. When I was a kid (1965) I worked in a factory with a wood floor and the boards were 2 thick and about 8 wide. This was a good floor when the factory was built about 1920. Not so good these days. In the right setting they could be very interesting and decorative especially if you can leave the old paint and marks on them.
- Q:i work in construction.
- Thats work not a workout.
- Q:Why is there so much unnecessary scaffolding in NYC?
- Must belong to someone's cousin. Buildings need cleaning too.
- Q:I've been wanting an industrial piercing for quite a while now, and thankfully I convinced my parents to let me get it done about two weeks ago. We were on vacation in Florida last week and my mom said I could get it done there if I wanted, so we went into a tattoo shop and asked about it. They told me something I'd never heard before, that they would pierce the holes with hoops and in about a month I could put the barbell in. The piercers told me it would heal a lot easier this way and if the barbell was put in right away I'd end up taking it out because of the pain. This makes sense of course, but I have NEVER heard of it being pierced this way, and once the holes heal, won't they be off in aligning the bar with the piercings, causing me even more pain? They told me if I get it pierced in my home town to tell the piercer to do it the way they suggested but I'm not sure at all. I could take the pain if that was the only issue, but if it would heal better.. I'm not sure. Help? Thanks!
- i have a friend who got that done, and i am also wanting to get that done. she says it was a smart move to put the hoops in, and then the barbell, because it does reduce a lot of the pain. anyway, about the healing better, i didn't know that, but if that is the case, better safe than sorry.
- Q:this work wont start till tuesday and the scaffold has blocked my sky tv. am i within my rights to remove this scaffolding?
- How about giving your TV a break and enjoying the weather. The scaffold will only be temporary.
- Q:how long sould you wait to dye your hair after getting a scaffold piercing?
- I'd leave it until its fully healed. If it isn't healed then if you get the dye in the holes it can make it infected. I had a cartridge piercing and dyed my hair and it got infected and I had to take it out and now I have a big lump on my ear. So wait until its healed before dying your hair.il its healed before dying your hair.
- Q:There are three instances (hester alone, dimmesdale at night and the last time) and itd be reallllly great if someone could help me find quotes :)
- I Yahooed it and got plenty of quotes so try 'Scarlet Letter + scaffold'.
- Q:Why do so many buildings in Manhattan have scaffolding on the street level?
- Probably because many building are old and have to be repaired and they don't want stuff falling on people. Regulations require it when they are working on buildings.
- Q:I'm wanting to get a part of my ear pierced in the summer, which should I get,how much do each hurt, what is the healing period for each.I am getting it in the summer so it has time to heal before I go back to school,Help??
- Industrial takes the longest to heal, cartilage and tragus are pretty similar but infection/complications are more common in tragus piercings as they are knocked a lot by hair and headphones etc. They all hurt the same amount, unless you get your cartilage done with a gun, in which case it's much less painful (but more risk of your cartilage cracking, which is pretty painful in the long term). Industrials are usually done as two cartilage piercings with two bars, then the long bar is put in after they've healed. You should expect some discomfort and scarring around the piercing holes for quite a while afterwards. Tragus piercings often give you problems as the area is near to ear wax which contains all sorts of debris and dust ect. Most cartilage piercings should heal fine and be pretty low maintenance, and there are lots of varieties. If you want something unusual, google a 'rook' piercing.
