Q:I have a large hole from rust above the right rear wheel well of my honda accordI would like to fix this by patchingWhat is the best way? Should I take it to a body shop or use bondo? The hole is irregular shaped and is about 6quot;x3quot;.
I would stick with what you are doingI've tried doing it on a cookie sheet and on a metal pan with cooking spray but was not very successful.
Q:Do I put them in hot or cold water??? I am going to cook them in a turkey deep fryer tonight and have to make a lot of themI know that I will have to dry them off before cooking but I also heard that if you cut up appl;e ahead of time you add a little sprite to a spritzer and spritz them to keep them from turning brown Thanks for your help.
Put them in cold water and refrigerateIf you add some sugar to the water, that will help them brown when you fry themJust make sure you don't store them in aluminum, or cover them with aluminum foil-it will turn the potatoes a purply black-not harmful but very unappetizing.
Q:What is the cost of 1 atom of Aluminum to 3 significant figuresThe only info to work with is that a 25-square foot roll of Aluminum foil was purchased for $2.55 at the same storeI have massed a 8cmx8cm square and found that its mass is 0.277 gramsPlease help, i need the answer ASAP!!
My favorite recipe for stuffing is Sour Dough Bread StuffingTake loaves of pre-sliced sour dough and using a bread knife, slice them into stripsSince you are using bread and not crumbs, please note that 1.) they will reduce in weight while you dry them, and 2.) will reduce in volume once you mix themSo made a little more than you think you will needPlace on a baking tray, and lay the strips out flatBrown (to a dark tan color) in a 350foven, and then dump in a PAPER grocery bag to cool downThis will also allow them to stay crispy until needed for your stuffing Saute your veggies until 1/2 cooked (or 1/2 soft)Do not cut your veggies to small, or they will look like specks in your stuffing after cooking (most veggies are 75% water)Add in nuts, dried fruit, fresh cut apples, etc., to the already sauteed veggies, and now cooling veggies Place your bread strips in a bowl and mix in 1 egg, 1/2 stick melted butter, and 1/2 cup cool water for approxeach 1lb loaf of bread strips Using you hands, hand mix in the veggies, egg, melted butter, and water, by folding them in over and over in the stripsYou are doing great if the strips feel moist, but not soggy, and they are breaking apart, but not into crumbsAdd in you herbs and spicesGarlic is important, but use powder, not chunksIt is to powerful a flavor If you don't have a bowl big enough, cut the percentages down by 50% and repeat the assembly Your family will be impressed, as sour dough bread gives you that additional flavor lift, and the stuffing is not too sweetLet you veggies, nuts, and dried fruits pop out as the sweet flavor to this recipe OK to taste prior to cooking, unless you add in uncooked gibletsThe raw egg will not hurt you:)
Q:I am able to bend a (thin) bar of aluminum with my hands but not a steel bar.
IMO, iron atoms tend to form crystals as they coolSoft metals don'tYou can probably get a more detailed answer by looking at the periodic table and comparing hard and soft metals with their electron structureAnd since you mention steel, that's an alloy of iron and carbon with more complex internal structure (but I could be wrong)
Q:I have two kids, ages 8 and 9I am a single momI bought a tent and would like to take them camping, but am unsure of the types of things I should bringI know the basics, tent, blankets, first aid kit, food, insect repellentBut I'm looking to do this for as cheaply as possibleHere is what we have so far, blankets, pillows, tent, and even transportation to and from a camping site, we've got bottles to fill with water, and even some sparklers for funAny ideas? I'm sure I could come up with a list on my own, but I'd prefere to get suggestions from people who have already been there and done thatThanks in advance
I don't know if they have bike trails at that campground, but if they do bikes are always a good thing to keep the kids busyIt gives you all a chance to explore the parkA lesson I learned is try to start packing in advanceThe last time I went camping I threw everything together an hour before I leftAnd I forgot several essential items (like a bath towel and can opener) I agree that I would be very careful with the sparklers, but I like the frisbee idea or maybe a couple of baseball gloves and a ballIf you wanted maybe you could make up a nature scavenger hunt (link below).
Q:I have this chemistry worksheet and I'm quite stumped by itI've never been that great when it came to science or math, so this is all over the headCan someone explain to me how to balance these equations?Directions: Write the word equations below as chemical equations and balance.1) Aluminum bromide and chlorine gas react to form aluminum chloride and bromine gas.2) Copper and sulfuric acid react to form copper (II) sulfate and water and sulfur dioxide.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
1st question- some people use insulation lagging on their pipes at home to prevent heat from escapingthey have double-glazed windows to prevent heat coming in by air, since air is the best insulator of heat next to a vacuumthey also have rugs on the floor and tiled roofs2nd question- on whatever object they wish to overcome radiation, they silver-coat it or cover it with something shinyshiny, smooth surfaces are the poorest absorbers and radiators of heatthey are the best reflector of heat by radiation3rd question- convection currents occur in the refrigerator, and in air-conditioned rooms and in kettlesthis occurs because the hot air rises because of its density but the cold air fallswhen you heat the room, the density of the air increases and the original hot air falls4th question- insulation is the opposite of conduction, it prevents heat transfer from one molecule to the nextconvection occurs in currentsthe cold fluid at the bottom is heated and the hot fluid from the top will fall thus creating a currentradiation is the transfer of heat by electromagnetic wavesthis is how heat reaches from the sun to the earthone final note, i learned all of this in a physics session in school and im only thirteen.
Q:When I started getting into Polymer clay I heard about the Air Dry type firstI wanted to do it instead of bakign since it's be easier and I wouldn't have to use my mom's ovenBut I looked at craft stores and all I've found it the oven baked claySo I'd have to buy air dry onlineNow I'm considering buying a clay oven from Joanns and just doing oven clayIs there really a differance between the clays in the final product?I want to make mostly ice cream scoops cute stuff for jewerly and to deco thingsIs there any differance between them at all?Which do you think is better?
For polymer clay, i use sculpey, which is the oven-bake oneive never seen air-dry polymer clay at craft stores, but i think its cold porcelain the results are the same, and cold porcelain may seem easier to use because its softer and air-dryits also easier to moldbut cold porcelain air drys so you have to work fasteralso you dont need a craft oven, you can just use the regular kitchen ovenjust make sure to put your items on top of aluminum foil/ wax paper so it doesnt get stuck to the panpersonally i like oven-bake clay just cuz i can make any changes any time i want because it stays squishy the whole time and doesnt dry overnightbut its really your choice because some find cold porcelain easier to work with:D
