- Q: I am building a small rolling road to test my nitro RC cars out and i am trying to figure out the best way to simulate a realistic resisance for the engine and transmission to work againstany ideas?
- Ive worked in a company that manufactured plastic containers and it sounds like an issue in the molding department
- Q: The other day I was pulled over for speeding. The ticket said I was going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. I am sure I wasn't going nearly that fast and the officer didn't use any sort of radar technology to determine my speed but rather paced it on a very hilly, curvy road. I've read that when officers pace a car on a road like this it is likely to be more inaccurate. Also he only paced me for a couple seconds, while I was slowing down at a stop sign, so I doubt it would be accurate at all. Lastly, he didn't turn on his lights and pull me over until we were on a completly different street where the speed limit was 45 mph. I don't know if that would change anything but someone told me it might. Is there anyway I can fight this (because I know I wasn't going as fast as he said, and I believe the only reason my speed was bumped up to 50 was so I could get the higher fine ticket). Thanks for any help!
- it sounds liek mild OCD but realy it could also just be a mental health thing like peaopel that are stressed or find thier lives very hecec wil lstart to obsibite signs of OCD behaivor withotu realy having OCD. they use it as more of a thign to focus on to keep them consentrated and de stresses. liek when your at the light and grind your teeth it could just be your subconsquience telling you that you are stressed about the light and it could be your body's way off keeping you in check

- It perspective. I think everyone looks different in a mirror as opposed to a camera. As of which is the real you, which do you feel is the real you?
- Q: I know water doesnt work since the gasoline just floats on top of it, and I have heard that smothering the fire with a blanket or towel (to deprive the fire of oxygen) will work. But, besides smothering, how else can you put out a fire that is caused by gasoline?
- OH boy! I have seen this kind of jury rig job before! You will likely have to cut open the wall around the pipe to get to the leak. If it is galvanized pipe in the wall, you need to measure the outside diameter of the connection, (probably a tee) and go to your home center and get a Fernco connector. This is a black rubber connector with hose clamps on each end. You need one that will fit over the end of the fitting in the wall, and then you can tighten it with a screwdriver. Now you can go to PVC pipe and do whatever fittings needed to make it fit the sink drain.
- Q: I am planning on doing a science project that involves dry ice and the fog that it creates. Will the fog set off smoke alarms? (I can t find any clear answers)
- Maybe they lived in the Montana State University-Billings dorms for a while. The fire alarms would often go off at 3 in the morning on the worst days for weather out of the year, for reasons such as a pipe froze and dripped water on the control panel or a random glitch in the system. This would sometimes happen more than once in a night. It became nearly impossible to take the fire alarm seriously. Especially considering that in the probably 15 or more fire alarm soundings they experienced during the four years I was there, NONE of them were for an actual fire! The closest thing to an actual fire was some burnt toast in the cafeteria. No actual fire, just a thin cloud of smoke and a barely perceivable black circle on the ceiling. I can't say that I really take any fire alarm seriously after that. I take notice when I start seeing smoke.
- Q: Ive recently moved into a shared house where the internet access is controlled by the foreign couple I live with ) I.E they have the contract with the I.S.P the router is in their bedroom. Now although I have no reason to dis-trust them really, they do seem to spend alot of time in thier room claim 'not to watch much T.V but to go online alot'..I read of a way to be able to tell if another computer on the same network as me can have or is accessing my computer but can't quite remember the procedure, any help on this matter or advice would be greatly appreciated and before anyone states the obvious and suggets I get a seperate internet connection for my room, yes I am aware of this and am infact giving it serious consideration due to the fact I don't want any online banking info getting into the wrong hands!
- Guess what. It's the gloves that make me queasy. That's because I know that many of those people wear the same gloves all day and never clean or change them. At least with the bare hands, there is a continuous hand washing going on. And nothing is worse than the gloved hand that goes and touches something gross and back to the food. Do you wear gloves when you prepare food at home. Neither do I. That's because we wash our hands before touching food, just like food preparers must. Food safety law is a state issue and usually administered by counties.
- Q: Please let me know the features of fire blankets?
- I bake a lot! Especially during the holidays so I've used a variety of pans for every kind of cookie etc I've found that the cheapy aluminum ones work the best! To keep them from being ruined- I've been using SILPATS which can be found at BED BATH AND BEYOND, Linens and Things and even TARGET They are a bit expensive but, so worth it! It's silicone/fiberglass flexible mat that not only protects you cookie sheets but, is completely NON-STICK so cookies cook evenly and slide right off the sheet It also cools quickly for multiple batchesIt's also GREAT for rolling pie dough onto and cooking meats and other things They retail for around $20 a piece Just don't cut on them I have 5 that I use in my kitchen for the past 6 yrs I simply love them I get my baking pans for around $2-3 dollars a piece. Good luck
- Q: If there was a fire and I went to pull the fire alarm what if I read the directions out loud to help me to understand what to do and to make me more confident? Also what if my hand slipped and I had to pull the handle again and I said uh-oh? Do people ever talk out loud to themselves or to a friend standing nearby in this situation? Why is it that someone would do this silently while another one would talk out loud and still get the job done? If a kid were to pull a fire alarm in a fire would they be more likely to talk out loud since it is a new thing for them? What would they say out loud to themselves in this situation to help them?
- If you read the pedia article you cite, it says that all attempts to detect Nemesis have failed, despite using really sensitive techniques.
