Q: I am a somewhat intense fisherman but not a full out monster fisher. I catch fish that range from 2 pounds to 15. What typer do i get a casting or spinning? i catch bass, trout, catfish and pike. Does that have a impact on what reel i get. I only fish in freshwater. Thank!
The real thing, I am sure. Dogs pee against trees because trees stand out in the landscape. The ancestors of dogs, namely wolves, mark their territory this way. There are not many trees in the heart of a large city, but there are fire hydrants. Of course, the dogs defaulted to using these.
Q: If lightning rods are to conduct the charge of electricity to the ground to prevent damage to say a barn. Then would the animals around the barn be in danger of conducting the electricity into there bodies from the ground?I know if animals are standing under a tree and lightning hits the tree, lightning can and will kill them.
The maximum force with which the car can push against the road is limited by the friction coefficient of the tire multiplied by the normal force. This applies both during acceleration and braking. The stopping distance remains same with the same tire and road conditions, when the wheels are locked and skidding, regardless of the weight, number of wheels or vehicle load. Maximum braking force occurs when the wheels are braked just before the locking point or point of impending skid. Jones and Childers report coefficients of friction of about 0.7 for dry roads and 0.4 for wet roads. For a good driver, you need to use both engine braking action as well as foot brakes to stop a vehicle traveling at speeds above 60 kmph. At first the driver shifts from drive or overdrive to third or second gear so that the engine braking brings the speed down and this can be helped with the foot brakes by gradually increasing pressure. The reason for applying engine braking and foot braking is to prevent what is known as Brake Fade: Since brake lining material is a poor conductor of heat, most of the heat goes into the brake drum or disc during braking. Under severe use, brake drums may reach 590 K temperatures. The coefficient of friction between the drum and lining is much lower at these high temperatures so that additional pedal pressure is required. After a number of severe stops or after holding the brakes on a long down hill grade, a point is eventually reached when the coefficient of friction drops so low that little braking effect is available. This condition is called brake fade. The vehicle will fail to slow down even when brakes are applied at this point.
Q: I went to Lowes and saw 4 caps and 6. something caps. Bought the 4 and it don't fit and I think the 6. something would be too big. What size do I need to be looking for?
I do believe you are OK, without my trying to explain I have encluded this data sheet that will cover the topic well. I have worked with some of these chemicals for an extensive period some years ago without any ill effects.
Q: A car with mass 938 kg passes over a bump in a road that follows the arc of a circle of radius 50.4 m. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2.
check your right brake or make sure the lug nuts are tight
Q: How much is fiberglass resin in auto zone?
Yes the landlord has to comply with local fire codes . If that requires extinguishers every so many feet or wherever, its up to the landlord, but is it worth the aggravation to piss-off your landlord for the cost of a used but suitable extinguisher? Probably not!
Q: this morning both my smoke detectors went off for about 30 seconds. Their is no smoke or anything smoke like that could of set it off. Im not sure if its the batteries as it does this beeping thing when its the batteries in till you change them. What could this mean?
Ok, that is kind of funny, but a little on the mean side!
Q: I am not talking about helmets. I know that the DOT and Snell labs test them. I want to know about jackets, gloves, pants and boots. Please include a link to the site with your answer.
It reduces the volume of the cans, taking out the empty space inside, so that many, many more cans can be stored or shipped in the same space - the one I have will put about 8-10 aluminum cans in the same volume as 2 uncrushed cans.
Q: I wasn't hearing any of these noises before I got my tires changed. Now it's a really loud clunking noise at the front wheels as I drive, especially at lower speeds. The tire shop says I suddenly have loose bearings and quoted me another $400 to get them changed. But I wasn't hearing all this noise before they changed my tires. Did they mess up my car? They said it's either a coincidence that the noise started right after the tire change OR I just couldn't hear it before because the old tires were making so much road noise. B.S. I can hear it with the air conditioning full blast and people on the street are looking at me as I drive by because it's so loud. WHAT IS GOING ON???
Local ordinances will vary from state to state, But 20 feet is a safe bet.
Q: Why is electricity SO expensive in Aus. when the coal industry (coal fired power stations) receives subsidies?
prayer.Nothing is a better cure.We all have something that we don't understand. The best way to solve it is pray.Everything happens for a reason. One positive thing for sure is that it has teached you to be a better father in the future.
Q: Last year we had a really bad snowfall and my dad went looking for snow chains but couldn't find any. this year we are having the same signs as last year for a harsh winter, so we have our little supply of grit and my dad is looking for snow chains. i have looked on the internet and all i can find is buy online or go some were in Scotland even Ireland! we live in North wales and we have some very steep hills so he wants some snow chains. when he was a little boy he could go to the local shop and buy some, but now its like finding a needle in a hay stack! any advise on were to get some or even a web sight to look at. he wants to be able to drive there in 2-3 hours to make sure they fit his car. Many Thanks
No. You wouldn't pass a code inspection though. If you were to try and sell your house, you may have to add them. With today's building codes you not only have to have them on every floor, but they must also be in every bedroom and be interconnected so when one goes off, they all go off.
