- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for wastewater management?
- Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for wastewater management. They are commonly used in various wastewater management systems due to their durability, resistance to corrosion, and ability to withstand harsh chemical environments. Plastic tubes are also cost-effective, lightweight, and easy to install, making them an ideal choice for transporting and draining wastewater efficiently.
- Q: I'm assuming that toothpaste tubes are made of a metal of some sort but i'm not sure what the exact material used is?does anyone know and why?
- Toothpaste tubes are made from three basic materials: aluminum, plastic, and glue. Typically, toothpaste tubes have outer and inner layers of polyethylene, a plastic, with a layer of aluminum foil glued between them. The inner plastic layer does not react chemically with the active ingredients in toothpaste.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for underground applications?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for underground applications. Plastic tubes, such as PVC or HDPE, are often used for underground applications like water and sewer pipelines, electrical conduits, and cable ducts. They are corrosion-resistant, lightweight, durable, and can be easily installed and maintained underground.
- Q: My 98 Stratus 2.4L 4 cyl is dripping clear clean water on the passenger side and has accumulated water in the blower motor area. How can I clean out the drain? Where is the drain?
- Based on your question, I would say you probably have water gathering on your passanger floor board. If it is the drain that is clogged, NO water will drip. So first, run the car with the ac on and see if the water pools under the car. You can usually trace the drain by following the flow of water. If I had to guess, I would say it is on the fire wall to the right about in the middle of were the passangers feet would sit (on the inside, drain plug on outside). If it is clogged, use a wet-dry vac and suck out the intrusion. You will know if it was clogged as the water will flow freely after some suction. If there is no clog, you may have a bad heater coil. Not too bad to replace, but should be done by a pro. Good luck!!
- Q: Are plastic tubes prone to cracking or breaking?
- Yes, plastic tubes are prone to cracking or breaking, especially when subjected to excessive pressure, extreme temperatures, or if they are made from low-quality materials.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for playground equipment?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for playground equipment. They are commonly used for slides, tunnels, and climbing structures due to their durability, versatility, and ability to withstand outdoor conditions.
- Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of shape or design?
- Yes, plastic tubes do have limitations in terms of shape and design. They are typically manufactured in cylindrical shapes due to the nature of their production process, which involves extrusion or injection molding. While it is possible to create variations such as oval or rectangular tubes, these options are more limited and less common. Additionally, complex designs or intricate shapes may not be feasible or cost-effective to produce using plastic tubing.
- Q: Pretty much anything safe a flexible that can be used. Needs to be about 3 or 3.5 inches in diameter. I need quite a bit of it. You know the play places at McDonalds for kids? Well, thats basically what I'm going to do only much smaller for my two ferrets. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find what I'm looking for? I'd like to find something other than PVC unless I can find about 20 feet of it that's flexible, clear, 3.5 inches diameter, and without an outragous price. Thanks so much.
- Why not stop by your local department stores gift wrapping department and ask them for their left-over tubes? (The tubes they have are the ones inside their roles of wrapping paper which are the perfect size for ferrets...I know, I have some myself. hehe) You will sort of look like an idiot asking the employees for them but what the heck!! Put on your best smile and ask. They are free AND they were just going to throw them out anyway. And if this makes you feel better, I used to work at a department store when I was much younger and people would ALWAYS come in and ask for empty boxes and cardboard. Its fairly common. ;)
- Q: What's the function of wax in PVC plastic pipes?
- PVC (full name Polyvinylchlorid) for polyvinyl chloride, in addition to other ingredients to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. The top layer of this surface film is lacquer, the main component is polyvinyl chloride, and the bottom layer is coated with adhesive. It is a very popular, popular and widely used synthetic material in the world today. Its global usage ranks second in various synthetic materials. According to statistics, only in 1995 a year, PVC production in Europe, there are about five million tons, while its consumption is five million and three hundred thousand tons. In Germany, PVC production and consumption averaged one million and four hundred thousand tons.
- Q: I own a 1995 Toyota Celica. A plastic tube next to the aluminum tube eventually rubbed a hole. Can this aluminum tube be repaired, or do I have to replace the entire thing?
- doubt you can patch it, if it's high pressure it's not worth it in the long run. Days are really hot and cars build a lot of pressure in the lines. Best bet, get it replaced with one that comes from a wrecked car, it's the cheapest way to go. Never buy the part from a dealer.
