Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to moisture?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to moisture.
Q: Behr has special paint, can this be done with other paint?
you do not need to have special paint unless you are wanting a certain look. If you are wanting it to look like it has almost a crackle look, using plastic sheeting would be an easy way. If you are just wanting to almost blend 2 colors, they make this 2 headed roller that comes with a certain paint tray that you would pour 2 different colors in and put them on the wall at the same time. It is a really nice look. You could also do this with a sponge and a regular roller but this would probably take you longer to do. But any type of idea like that, you wouldn't need a specific type of paint unless you're going for a certain look.
Q: Iron on transfer sheets made by HP can these be used on plastic? I'm making an experimental film and I need to transfer images onto 16mm film.
You will need to test this yourself, it depends on the melting point of the plastic you are trying to transfer to.
Q: We bought flannel sheets and are left with these lovely plastic packaging with the zipper on top. I would love some creative ideas to reuse them. Links would also be appreciated.
How about donating them to the homeless so that they can keep their possessions dry. Or using them for packaging for sandwiches. Maybe even use them as freezer bags. Or as a liner for a schoolbag to keep books protected from the rain. You could even use one to protect your laptop, inside or out, as a dustcover. Or a storage bag for all the loose pens that everyone has. If you wanted it a little more exciting, you could always colour a pattern on it using permanent marker...
Q: Are plastic sheets suitable for outdoor furniture?
Plastic sheets are generally suitable for outdoor furniture due to their durability, weather resistance, and ease of maintenance.
Q: Under the temp. probe, and under the heater, obv. And these go under the liner, right? Electricity and water together = bad deal!So have I found the right answer?Bed is in chilly room in cold house, soft-sided with wooden frame. Will of course be using woolen, polyester, blankets on top, or maybe put the fake eiderdowns under bottom sheet and use the wool etc. over top sheet. Point is that bed will stay covered with warmth-keepers just about all the time.Am thinking of running the foil up along the side-walls. I intend to tape the sheets together into a complete large sheet.Had planned to use insulating rigid foam but decided was too much work to replace the home-made frame. Am hoping that the foil will reflect heat back into the water, not out into room.Furnace is forced-air, and electric bill in winter is Awful! IMO, at least.
I doubt aluminum foil has much, if any, R-value, but I'm not an HVAC guy. I do know that pink styrofoam doesn't have much R-value unless you go several inches thick. Maybe try surrounding the bed in about 6 of the styrofoam on all sides. Use HVAC foil tape to seal any seams. Then mask it all in something like tileboard.
Q: What are the different sizes available for plastic sheets?
Plastic sheets are available in a wide range of sizes, including standard sizes such as 4x8 feet, 4x10 feet, and 5x10 feet. However, custom sizes can also be obtained based on specific requirements.
Q: What's the difference between integrated ceiling and plastic gusset plate?
Plastic buckles are made of plastic.Simple from the composition will know, integrated ceiling gusset used longer life, cleaning more convenient, more secure.
Q: What is the purpose of using plastic sheets?
The purpose of using plastic sheets is to provide a protective barrier or cover for various surfaces or objects. They are commonly used to safeguard furniture, flooring, or construction materials during transportation, storage, or renovation projects. Plastic sheets also serve as a moisture barrier, preventing water damage or moisture absorption. Additionally, they can be used for insulation, as drop cloths for painting, or as temporary barriers in outdoor or industrial settings.
Q: I just bought a piece of mdf that i cut to the size i need, not to make my table complete i need to find some plastic to go on top (exactly like how you buy study desks from the shops. its that very thin sheet that just covers the table) I also would like an unusual colout like pale light green or white) i could not find the table size that is right for me so i made it myself by just adding it on top of my old table.
If you want the look of clear plastic, most home improvement stores sell plexi glass in many thicknesses. I would also look into glass tabletop covers as they will be less likely to scratch over the long term and can be purchased at andy glass specialty shop and hobby lobby even carries an assortment of glass table tops.....the backside of the glass can be painted to any hue you want using glass paints from a craft store! Just be sure to put a clear finish on to protect it if you do!
