Besides, people have the misguided notion that because the banks are more efficient, they will somehow benefit and since the government is inefficient, they will suffer. The second part is probably true but how is the first part true. As efficient as a bank is, the efficient part is not making any person not affiliated with the bank money, but rather with making the CEO or president of the bank money. People, tend to focus on issues narrowly and because of that, they will miss many important facts. This is exactly what the big banks want and that is exactly what people have done. In my opinion, the big banks should not be nearly as big as they are. They should be broken up into smaller banks and divide the wealth. In a capitalistic society, competition only benefits us. This could cause the banks to have to lower interest rates to attract new customers and cause the wealth to be spread. If you agree with this ask yourself who is the only entity that can actually break up the banks? The government.

Q: I'm building an ion accelerator which is based off of an ion generator and a coilgun. The ion generator is complete, but I'm looking for a good power supply for the coilgun portion's electromagnet. What is a good sized capacitor bank for this type of application, aiming for extremely short but powerful bursts. Also, is there a good online store to find cheap high capacitance capacitors?: Ion accelerators usually work off DC, not from a capacitor bank. What energy and current are you looking for in your ion beam? I think that you need to do a LOT more design work on the ion generator. What kind of ion source are you going to use, and what is its current density and brightness? If you want a pulsed high current beam, how are you going to source all those ions? Edit:- How can you possibly hope to get 1.65 amps of ions? Ion sources generally run in the microamp range. Just because the current is available from the supply, that doesn't mean that your ion source will consume it, i am afraid. BTW if you COULD make a pulsed ion source this intense, the military would be very interested - such a source could greatly increase the power of an atomic bomb!

Q: I mean from my understanding when the privately owned banks (Federal Reserve) print money they also tack on interest rates and gain more power than even the Government. If the Government printed it's own money there wouldn't be interest rates. So when the natural resources run out, or the people realise what is going on or if the government stops being controlled by the top bankers then our world will stop running on debt money and production will slow down? And am I right in saying the government has the power to control how much is injected into the economy will create a more sustainable economy but then this almost becomes state run and then becomes communist again?: when a resource runs out, its price goes up, and market economy adjusts by using the resource more efficiently, and eventually replacing it with a different resource. Banks help this by loaning money to whoever needs to make investment in this process, e.g. to consumers who buy electric cars, or for construction of sustainable power plants. Government's role is to make sure the above works as intended.

Q: Does anyone know how solar works in plain English. .I bought 5 - 500 watt outdoor lamps for my yard that i would like to run off of solar power but im not finding an answer on how many or what type of solar panels to get or how many batteries and what kind. Without government incentives like they have in Europe, it still doesn't make sense for the individual homeowner. Also the current method of grid tied inverters which use the grid as a 100% efficient battery thereby cutting costs to a third of a battery based system, depends on most of the grid subscribers not using solar. Should solar become popular, the grid tied concept would unravel the grid unless a way of economically storing energy could be found or an inexpensive load following generation source such as Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors be deployed.
