FAQ:
Q1: Why buy Materials & Equipment from OKorder.com?
A: All products offered byOKorder.com are carefully selected from China's most reliable manufacturing enterprises. Through its ISO certifications, OKorder.com adheres to the highest standards and a commitment to supply chain safety and customer satisfaction.
Q2: What is a solar PV module?
A: A solar PV module consists of many solar cells that are connected together (typically in series) and packaged in a frame (typically made of aluminum).
Q3: What are the advantages and disadvantages of monocrystalline solar PV modules?
A: Monocrystalline solar PV modules are the most efficient type of solar PV modules, with the exception of CdTe thin film solar PV modules. As a result, monocrystalline solar PV modules are more expensive when compared to almost all other types of solar PV modules.
- Q: i need how a solar panel works, if possible make as easy to understand as possible like because of this , this happens and if you could please put a web source you got it from
- Sunlight (photons) hit a piece of silicon and knock electrons out of it. That causes a flow of electrons, which is electrical current. simple enough? a better explanation from wikipedia: A solar cell is a device that converts the energy of sunlight directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect. Sometimes the term solar cell is reserved for devices intended specifically to capture energy from sunlight such as solar panels and solar cells, while the term photovoltaic cell is used when the light source is unspecified.
- Q: I am interested in installing a home solar panel system. In my city, we get a little over 5 hours of sun, and I typically use about 800-900 kwh per month. The available roof space is small- approximately 600 sqft. The online calculators provided on various sites are not uniform, thus providing inconsistent responses with the same input data.I think I need a 5kw system approximately. Can anyone verify that and provide a link for a reasonably priced system to meet my needs? Prefer grid-tied, but off-grid is acceptable as well. Thanks!
- I'm sure that you will discover everything related solar energy at www.okorder .
- Q: How do solar panels affect home resale value?
- Solar panels can positively impact home resale value by providing potential buyers with energy savings and a reduced carbon footprint. Studies have shown that homes equipped with solar panels tend to sell at a higher price compared to similar homes without them. Additionally, solar panels often increase a home's appeal and marketability, making it more attractive to environmentally-conscious buyers.
- Q: Can solar panels be installed on a farm or agricultural facility?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on a farm or agricultural facility. In fact, many farmers and agricultural facilities are increasingly adopting solar energy as a sustainable and cost-effective solution to meet their energy needs. Solar panels can be installed on roofs, open fields, or unused land, providing clean and renewable energy while minimizing the environmental impact. Additionally, solar installations on farms can help reduce electricity costs, improve energy independence, and contribute to a greener and more sustainable farming practice.
- Q: How do solar panels affect the property's community image?
- Solar panels can have a positive impact on a property's community image by showcasing a commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. They can enhance the property's reputation as an environmentally conscious and forward-thinking community, leading to increased respect and admiration from residents and neighbors. Additionally, solar panels can act as a visual symbol of progress and innovation, contributing to a positive perception of the property and potentially attracting like-minded individuals or businesses to the community.
- Q: Can solar panels be used for heating water?
- Yes, solar panels can be used for heating water. Solar thermal systems or solar water heaters use solar energy to heat water by capturing sunlight and converting it into heat energy. This heat is then transferred to a fluid, which is used to heat the water in a storage tank. This sustainable and cost-effective method can be used for residential, commercial, and industrial water heating purposes.
- Q: I'm part of the Sustainability group at school, the school principal is a d**k and doesn't care about the environment, he only cares about money.Me and the group will be talking in front of him and the school council (the people in-charge of the school's money) To convince them to put solar panels on the school roofs.I know that it definitely will help the school save on electricity bills, but it WILL cost a lot of money to put them in.In the end we just wanna reduce carbon emissions!HELP :)
- Unfortunately installing Photoelectric Solar panels on your school would probably cost more than the entire school budget. In order to make this sort of proposal you would need to have some hard numbers to show exact dollar amounts of costs and benefits. You would need multiple quotes from companies that install solar panels and information from the electrical company that would have to tie the system into their grid. This is a HUGE undertaking. If you really want to reduce carbon emissions, suggest ways to reduce the energy use within the school instead of converting to solar. Better windows, doors, and roof insulation. If you have a leaky roof, fixing that would get rid of water damage and better insulate the school thus saving energy. Suggest plans to reduce electrical usage like having computers go into Hibernate mode after 0 minutes, turning off lights in rooms that aren't getting used, etc... Many people are fooled into thinking that solar power is this awesome free energy source. IT is NOT. Solar panels are great for powering small items or for getting power when you have no other way of getting connected. However it takes MORE electricity to create a solar panel than the solar panel will ever produce in it's ENTIRE lifetime. Do some research into the production of silicon crystal and semiconductors and find out how solar panels are made. Until the technology improves greatly, solar is not a green power source other than generating money.
- Q: I'm curious, for those who have had solar panels installed on the rooves of their houses:How much did you pay? How much energy do the panels produce? Did it dramatically cut down on your electricity bill? Was it worth it? Thanks!
- Is an SUV worth it? I have passed many of them off in the ditch while my 2wd truck keeps going on icy roads. Unless you own a company and need the SUV it will never pay for itself. Is a huge house worth it? I can live in a 8X6 foot house perfectly well. Unless you rent rooms out in the large house it will never pay for itself. Solar panels are statements to others like a house or vehicle, except they will actually pay for themselves over many years. Don't expect to get rich off them, but look at it as doing your part to cut down on pollution, become more self sufficient or whatever. The exception is if you build a house far from the grid. A friend was quoted $40,000 per mile to install grid tied power to her house out in the woods. Solar panels paid for themselves the first year there.
- Q: Can solar panels be installed in rural areas?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed in rural areas. In fact, rural areas are often ideal for solar panel installations due to the availability of open spaces and ample sunlight. Installing solar panels in rural areas can provide clean and renewable energy to these communities, reducing their dependence on traditional energy sources and improving energy access.
- Q: i have a fountain system that has a small electric pump. its made to be close to a house but i want it across the driveway and i dont want to run electrical over there.is there a small solar panel that i can get fairly inexpensive to mount on a nearby tree and be able to plug the pump into it?
- You will need more than a small solar panel to run a pump continuously, unless you don't mind that the pump only comes on during the day while the sun is out. st you need to know what the power demands are of the pump in question. Not only do you need to know the rate of the power draw from the pump, but you will also have to calculate how much power the pump will draw from your solar system every day. You will have to factor in that the sun doesn't shine brightly every day, of course there's also night, so you will need a storage battery, charging system to go along with your solar panel. Now most pumps like the one you described are 20vac. Most solar panels, the batteries, the chargers are 2vdc. In order to get 20vac you will need an inverter. Once again, you will have to make sure that the inverter you get can handle the demands of the pump. A solar system that actually works for you takes some carefull planning, it's not something that you can just hang from a tree. None of what I just descibed will be inexpensive by my definition, so if it were me, I'd dig a trench across the driveway, install some direct bury cable on a GFCI circuit out of my main power panel save a bundle.
