- I live in POLK, work in a few counties, and your issue is probably not going to be what you expect in a profit issue. Certainly there are orgs. that recycle pallets, FOR PROFIT,,,Yikes, try to find a free one. Probably looking at some legwork, and posting, locally like in a FLYER insert from your local newspaper, if not online. Pallets have become big business in the last few years. Steven Wolf

- Pallet wood has no structural rating. Besides that, it would be pretty hard to build anything (other than a birdhouse) out of wood that is no longer than 4 feet.
