Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleablemetalwith appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surfaceroughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film ofaluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (asmuch as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strengthof pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from200 MPa to 600 MPa. Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.

Aluminium alloys (or aluminum alloys; see spellingdifferences) are alloysin which aluminium(Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon, tin and zinc. There are twoprincipal classifications, namely casting alloys and wrought alloys, both of which are furthersubdivided into the categories heat-treatableand non-heat-treatable. About 85% of aluminium is used for wrought products, for example rolled plate, foils and extrusions.Cast aluminium alloys yield cost-effective products due to the low meltingpoint, although they generally have lower tensile strengthsthan wrought alloys. The most important cast aluminium alloy system is Al–Si,where the high levels of silicon (4.0–13%) contribute to give good castingcharacteristics. Aluminium alloys are widely used in engineering structures andcomponents where light weight or corrosion resistance is required

Q: I used to make them without the marshmallows melting and i forgot how! Help!
if you want him to have a blanket on then i would buy a sheet to put on him during the dayif not then see how he does w.o a blanketIf its sunny and he has a thick enough coat and there not much wind then he should be fine without a blanketIf its windy or raining then I would suggest something lighter to keep him warm.
Q: 1Which of the following happens when potassium forms an ion? It gains an electron and has an octet in its inner shell It loses an electron and has an octet in the next-lowest energy level It gains an electron and has an octet in the lowest energy level It gains an electron and has an octet in its outer shell.2Which of the following ions is an oxyanion? F- SO4^2- NH4+ SCN-3In the mineral beryl [BeAl2(SiO3)6], what is the ratio of beryllium to aluminum to silicate (SiO3)? 1 : 1 : 1 1 : 2 : 6 3 : 2 : 1 6 : 3 : 14The bond energies (kJ/mol) in compounds A, B, C, and D are 350, 500, 180, and 1,450, respectivelyWhich compound will most likely conduct electricity when dissolved in water? compound A compound B compound C compound D
1) Potassium forms cations; it loses electronsSince only one option has it losing electrons, that one must be right, so the answer is B2) Only one of the choices is an anion containing oxygen, so my guess is that it's that one: SO4 2-3) For every one beryllium, there are two aluminums and six silicates, so it's 1:2:64) I'm guessing on this one, but the lower the bond energy in a compound, I THINK the more ionic character it hasAn ionic compound is better able to conduct electricity than a covalent one, so my guess is compound C.
Q: My newly adopted jack russell mix is 10 months old, and I've only had him 3 weeksHe is scared of any and all new things and situations, and it's apparent he wasn't socializedBut he usually warms up to things after about 5 minutes of checking it outI'm having problems when I take him out to poopWhen I go to retrieve a baggie or toss a used bag in the quot;pet stationquot; ( a metal pole with a bag dispenser and a trash can) of my apartment complex, he balks and won't walk with in 20 ft of itThis happens every time, and I don't know what to doIf I try to tug on his harness to get him to move, he just tries to back out of itInvariably I end up scooping him up and walking up to it to get the job doneAny suggestions what is causing this and what I could do differently?
Very and not for the beginnerShould be done by a qualified contractor.
Q: an aluminum isotope consists of 13 protons, 13 electrons, and 14 neutronsits mass number is what?
Looking at the periodic table, Aluminum's atomic number is 13Thus, Aluminum has 13 protons.
Q: It is also Nat'l Buy a Musical Instrument Day!!
Fingerfoods can be sweet or savoryFor the sweet ones consider: brownies bar cookies cupcakes cookies For the savory ones, here's some of my favorites: mini orange muffins with cream cheese and thinly sliced honey ham mini croissants with spinach and cream cheese salami rollups: pepper salami smeared with goat cheese and rolled around a cornichon and skewerd with a toothpick cheese platter with cold green grapes fresh asparagas, cooked crisp tender and wrapped with prosciutto or thinly sliced ham mini cocktail smokies in barbecue sauce mini meatballs in barbecue sauce roast beef thinly sliced and spread with horseradish mixed with cream cheese, rollups Have fun!
Q: We tend to cook our chicken breasts by putting them, with some sort of liquids and seasonings in a packet made of aluminum foil, and then we bake it for about 45 minutesWe tend to use butter, salt, and pepper, but we are looking something a little more interestingI've considered salsa or ranch dressing, but I'm not sure they would hold up well, and what dishes they could be used inSo, if you pouch cook chicken what kind of liquid and seasonings do you use, and what dishes do you use it in?
You can put some cut up onion, carrots, celery in the foil, lay the chicken on top and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and dill weed, top with a few slices of lemon and a sprinkle of anise seeds crushedAdd a pat of butter and a tablespoon of orange marmalade and 1 tablespoon of orange juiceSeal packet and bakeOther combinations would include chicken broth, squash, onions, peppers, oregano, basil and fresh parsley Maple syrup can be used as well perhaps with chunks of sweet potato You might try poaching the chicken in a pan on the stove top in a small amount of chicken broth and then making a gravy from the brothBest wishes
Q: I want to know on which jar will heat up slowerI have 2 jars of the same size, filled with water, covered with its lid and placed under the sunThe first one though is covered with aluminum foil all the way through its body, and the other with a black art paper. So thereCan someone help me with this one?
Soldering is an option, But I wouldn't recommend it for a long term fixBreak down and replace the line.
Q: Hi, on two occasions now, I have hung out around my friends when they were smoking weed out of aluminum foil bowlsOne time was in a car with all of the windows rolled up to keep the smoke in, the other was in a screened in back porch. Now, on both occasions, I was smoking out of an apple with one of them, while my other two friends smoked out of this homemade bong that consisted of a plastic inhaler with the medicine canister removed, and aluminum foil over the top of the inhaler with holes poked in it to serve as a bowl.Right now, I'm reading that smoking out of aluminum foil is really bad for youIs it likely that I inhaled the aluminum vapors form my friend's bong despite the fact that I wasn't directly smoking out of it?
Want to know this too
Q: Can they both be used for the same thing? Is wax paper safe in the oven? I've noticed you can get a lot more wax paper than aluminum foil for the same priceWhat's the difference?
Wax paper can keep flour-based baked goods like cakes from sticking to the pan, although IMO parchment paper is betterIt is, however, just paper with a wax coating, which pretty much disintegrates when exposed to moisture, like the water or grease from cooking meatsFor that you need foil.
Q: Why is aluminum such a useful metal in spite of the fact that it is very reactive? Please help asap, fastest answer which is useful and answers the question wins best answer, thanks?
Aluminium quickly becomes coated with a layer of aluminium oxide which is unreactive. This means we can use it in lots of useful ways (see previous answer) without it reacting/corroding.
