- Oddly enough, the same speed. Your hypothetical example is unreal of course. But say you were on a plane going 300 MPH. you shine a flashlight out the front window. The beam of light is travelling c, not c+300 mph

- it is flashing, at that point you treat it as a stop sign. you top and Proceed when it is your turn and clear. if it stopped flashing, then you stop and wait for a green.

- Hi there. To figure out this problem the first thing you need to know is the total time for the traffic light cycle, so add up all the times. 85 seconds is the total time cycle. If you would like to know the probability for the green light, take the amount of time for the green light over the amount of time for the total cycle. So 55/85 is the fraction. You get to simplify for the final answer. If you would like to know the probability for the light not being red, you have to add up the times when the light is not red. So the time for yellow plus the time for green would be 60 seconds. And again set up a fraction for the time not red over the total cycle time. 60/85, and you get to simplify for the final answer. - I actually published a (VERY) little research paper on this subject. We discovered that, in general, plant lights were no better than regular lights. The main determinant was the total amount of light energy. A 60 Watt Plant light did not grow anything better than a 60 W regular light. A 75 W regular grew things better than a 60 W plant light.

- Roughly the same characteristics as light received from our sun, or even a light bulb. Light is the transmission of energy from a quantum energy packet called a photon. I would say that the light received from a star is really old, but a photon is not actually effected by time. The photon travels at the speed of light, and so would not experience time or be effected by it. The light we receive from stars is very coherent because of the long distance involved, the photons are exceedingly parallel.
