Q:Given that I am going to purchase a solar panel to charge my cell phones and other gadgets, I would like to know what the ammount of power produced by a 6 Watt solar panel is under regular circumstances. (IE partial sun, full sun, cloudy)
That site tells you somewhat about the cost of solar panels and their MAXIMUM output. Now some who have these panels claim output, in daily terms, 8 times as great as maximum output, which says they are counting on 8 hours of effective sunlight. In California Desert that is sound. You will discover that Ontario Power grid is planning for 3 hours to 4 hours of maximum output . Based on that 3 to 4 hours of maximum output, it would take close to 20 years to recover your cost at the price Ontario pays for solar power. The deal locks you in so that you can not get more money as electricity prices go up, and do not lose if electricity prices go down over that 20 years.
Q:I recently bought a house with very old solar panels (about 25 years old) that don't appear to work properly. They are supposed to heat the hot water heater but they don't always work, and recently have staretd leaking. So, I have had them turned off and now we're just using electricity to heat the hot water. My question is, is there any tax credit money (stimulus or otherwise) available for people to (a) repair old solar panels or (b) replace them with new ones? How does the credit work?

Q:Ok so i have to solar panels to charge a battery however the panels hooked up in series does charge the battery very slowly because series connections only multiplies the voltage but leaves the current the same. Is there a way i can also hook both of them up in parallel at the same time to multiply the current for faster charge? I know i can do this with 4 panels but i dont want to spend extra. So is there a way to hook up 2 solar panels in series and parallel at the same time? Thanks in advace

Q:I live in the UK, I have no savings (so would have to take out a loan of about ?8000), I don't know how long I plan to stay in my house, I might want to move in a year or two to take advantage of a better job so I want to keep the option open of being able to sell my house without having to pay off the cost of having the panels fitted (which I probably won't get back on the increased value they add to my house). What are the main advantages of having solar panels? What are the pitfalls the ever so eager cold callers with quotas to fill don't tell you about?Basically is it worth having them?Thankyou.
Payback for your investment is 5-25 years, depending on sunny skies, durability of your system, rate of your utility company/taxes, and luck. If you have storm damage, accidents, or equipment failure, add that expense. It would be tough to get full value at the sale of your property, based on actual productivity (kwh produced) and relative condition/durability.
Q:Can solar panels be installed on flat surfaces?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on flat surfaces. While it is more common to install solar panels on angled surfaces or rooftops to optimize their exposure to sunlight, flat surfaces can also be used. In such cases, mounting systems or support structures are used to tilt the panels at an angle that maximizes their efficiency.
Q:How do solar panels affect the property's overall sustainability?
Solar panels can significantly improve a property's overall sustainability by harnessing clean, renewable energy from the sun. By generating electricity without emitting harmful greenhouse gases, solar panels reduce the property's carbon footprint and help combat climate change. Additionally, solar panels can lower energy bills, increase energy independence, and potentially provide a source of income through net metering or selling excess electricity back to the grid.
Q:I have a solar energy panel that works in every room except mine. I have those severely bright, energy efficient bulbs and it doesn't work at all. What do I do? Is the bulbs really causing this? Why?
get a voltage tester and test the output from the panel if it is a 24 volt output which is then inverted the reading should be that of the inverter. however if you solar panel installer installed an LCD panel that controls the electricity you can monitor any faults from the panel. Make sure that the panel you feel is not working is producing the same amount of electricity as the others. As for the bulb buy a new one from a different make and see what happens but by testing the output voltage and power you are bound to find the fault.. I have just thought of this the panels supply electricity to big batteries that then distributes power to all the house perhaps the battery supplying power to your room is faulty or the connections to the inverter might be faulty. BEST option if you can afford it because it will be expensive is to buy a solar monitoring system that control the panel and batteries you can even connect it to your laptop and control all the power.
Q:Can solar panels be installed on community buildings?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on community buildings. Installing solar panels on community buildings is a popular and effective way to generate clean and renewable energy for the community. It not only helps reduce electricity costs but also contributes to a sustainable and eco-friendly environment.
Q:What is the typical warranty period for solar panels?
The typical warranty period for solar panels is around 25 to 30 years.
Q:where I can find solar panel the has 4.8 volts? Like those solar walkway light or something that has 4.8 volts solar panel.Do you think I can get it from home depot?

See all Physical Science articles You've probably seen calculators that have solar cells -- calculators that never need batteries, and in some cases don't even have an off button. As long as you have enough light, they seem to work forever. You may have seen larger solar panels -- on emergency road signs or call boxes, on buoys, even in parking lots to power lights. Although these larger panels aren't as common as solar powered calculators, they're out there, and not that hard to spot if you know where to look. There are solar cell arrays on satellites, where they are used to power the electrical systems. You have probably also been hearing about the solar revolution for the last 20 years -- the idea that one day we will all use free electricity from the sun. This is a seductive promise: On a bright, sunny day, the sun shines approximately ,000 watts of energy per square meter of the planet's surface, and if we could collect all of that energy we could easily power our homes and offices for free.
