Q: I mean everything from the boat, the nets for the traps the traps themselves, the electrical equipment, and the salary for the crew. Are the crews wages expense or are they earning a share of the final pot like the owners and partners.
I'd actually inquire with a crab fisherman. Call a dock or something, seem if someone is willing to chat.
Q: a small fire that is at the outlet
Unplug it from a distance and then throw tons of baking soda or flour on it until the fire is smothered.
Q: I am looking into putting a trailer hitch on my truck so that we can move. But I get a little bit confused when the mechanic starts talking about electrical equipment. Do I want a round 7 or a flat 4 or both? And is it necessary to also install a trailer brake controller?
Lightweight trailers (3000 lbs and under) do not require trailer brakes. Trailers over 3000 lbs are required to have brakes. There are three types of trailer brakes. There are air brakes, which are commonly found on trucks and tractor trailer rigs. They are not used on the type of trailer you are talking about. There are surge brakes, which have a hydraulic control mounted on the trailer tongue. When the towing vehicle slows, the momentum of the trailer pushes against the ball, and this activates the trailer brakes, These are common on rental trailers (U-haul) and some boat trailers. There are electric brakes. These are controlled by an electric brake controller, and are wired into the vehicle brake light switch. When you hit the brakes, power is sent to the electrical brake actuators on the trailer and the brakes are applied. The trailer brake control can be adjusted to provide the right amount of braking power being applied to the trailer under different conditions. You want less braking on an empty trailer than a loaded one. If you are going to be renting a trailer to move, you do not need a brake controller. A 4 flat wiring connector will provide the wiring for the lights that you will need, you will have to buy an adapter seeing as the rental trailers have no connectors on them. If you are going to buy a trailer, decide on the trailer (so you know what type of brakes you have) and then have the needed wiring and controller installed.
Q: If this is maintained, but voltage changed from 480V to 240V, by what ratio will supply line losses change?
Power voltage x current Therefore current power/voltage. Thus, if power is constant at 2000kW current at 480 volts will be: I 2000,000/480 4166.67amps At 240 volts: I 2000,000/240 8333.33 amps However, line losses are current (squared) x resistance Thus the ratio will be 4166.67 (squared) / 8333.33 (squared), resistance remaining constant of course. I make that 0.25 (or 4, if you are thinking that way up!) That help?
Q: I was wondering, if everyone on earth was to disappear and there was no one to work the electrical grid, how long would it take for 1] The electrical power lines themselves to decay?2] The electrical substations to break down?3] The transformer units to break down?4] Any other electrical equipment to break [such as those boxes on the power lines, as well as ANY other piece of equipment on the electric grid]?P.S- Don't give how long it would take for the power stations to stop running, I already know that. Just answer the four questions I asked.
The lines are mostly copper or aluminum for the wires themselves. The towers are steel. They would last for decades easily. But lines that run from transformers to homes or neighborhoods could fail earlier. Look at what happens with ice storms in New England. Substations and transformers would last quite long also. But the power stations would last for anywhere from hours to weeks, depending on the degree of automation, and on chance. .
Q: hi, i am an electrican with 12 yrs experince within domestic/commercial/industrial industries.I am at the stage where i am thinking of my future career and would like to add more strings to my bow.But i dont really know what courses are out there, and which ones would make me more attractive to employers?I was thinking about going for the explosive atmosphere ticket and maybe the 2391, any help would be much appreciatted.
it fairly is stable in case you savour doing the artwork of electric engineers no occupation is stable in case you hate artwork daily electric engineering, like assorted the engineering fields has some good factors like stable pay, many diverse varieties of jobs, possibilities to visit administration or different alterations, etc yet interior the top, the problem is, are you able to savour it (no longer all the products of prevalent, all jobs have stuff to hate, thats why they pay you, yet assorted the time are you able to savour maximum of it)
Q: direct tv came to the house we just moved into and the power went out when he was hooking up a reciever and turns out all our outlets are messed up except two. one is completely dead. one was red on his tester thing and he said that is dangerous--forgot what he said about it and all the other are open ground i guess, and the fuse keeps blowing. is there any way to fix it without an electrician??? my husband knows some electrical stuff thanks
Not a big problem first you have to find the short then get the ground wire working start by removing ALL loads on that circuit and pull the outlet covers then start with the wire disconnected at the breaker box using an ohm meter follow it as it was wired separating everything if needed to pin point short then when you got infinite reading hook back the wire and find the broken ground (sounds like a ground was hooked to a hot maybe
Q: If an electrical equipment is designed for 220V at 60Hz, can it be used in a country which uses an electrical system of 240V at 50Hz. I'm not sure how true is this, but I've heard that the voltage would not be a problem but if the frequency is less, electrical equipments with motors will not be able to run at 100% performance which means the efficiency drops. Please enlighten me~Thank you
The major difference comes down to the authority of the Church. Protestants do not accept it, and therefore anything that relies on that authority or the sacred oral tradition that is preserved by the Church, is rejected by them. I was raised Methodist, and converted to Catholicism 14 years ago. Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions. @Pinx - The Ascension is about Christ, not Mary. If you're going to attack Catholicism, you might want to get the facts straight first. Mary was assumed into heaven, which means God took her up, body and soul. Christ ascended into heaven, under his own divine power, because he is God. There is a huge difference and Catholics know that. I didn't even read the rest of your post closely, I could just see it was filled with just as many misconceptions.
Q: I am a freshman of the engineering program at the university of Wyoming. Right now I am going into electrical because I wanted to stay in Wyoming and I thought that it would be easier to get a job in the production and distribution of electricity through something like Rocky Mountain Power. I don't mind doing the math and physics for electrical, but I am thinking that I would enjoy becoming a mechanical engineer. At the moment I believe mechanical is much more hands on, designing parts and testing them. I don't know what these two would lead into though. Electrical makes more money, but is that worth it? Also how hard would it be to get a job in this region with mechanical?
Electrical engineering. I don't know a lot about Wyoming but I know a lot about electrical engineering . EE is one of the largest branch of engineering majors and you can change your field of job whenever you want.
