- Q: I am learning about container gardening. I am growing herbs and veggies in my house. There is not enough light for some of the plants. My question is; is there a significant difference between a grow light and a regular fluorescent? What really is best for my plants?

- Light 'waves' are pure energy. No matter is involved, no mass, no moving thing. Light can travel in a vacuum. Sound waves are matter in motion. There is an energy associated with the moving particles, but there must be matter: particles with mass. Sound cannot travel in a vacuum.

- The answer above is great... as far as growing plants goes, though, metal halide produces light on the bluish end of the spectrum, making it a good light to use while plants are growing. Sodium is on the red end; it's best used when the plants are flowering/fruiting.
- Q: Does a regular desk lamp work generally the same compared to a plant growth light in growing duckweed? Do you have any ideas where to get a reasonably priced plant light?
- I assume this is in an aquarium? If so a regular florescent bulb will work, but not an incadescent one ( one that you screw in to the socket) you can find grow bulbs which work much better at wal-mart fairly cheap, look in the pet section, if you can't find it there try the lighting center

- Light eyes and dark hair because there is more of a contrast which makes your eyes stand out. Guys with dark hair and blue eyes look so gorgeous.
- Q: I have a fan currently installed without a light. I have a seperate light switch for the fan light which is currently not in use. I would like to install recessed lights in the room and use the fan light switch.At the ceiling I have red, black, white, and green. On my fan light switch, I have red and black. To power my recessed lights, I plan on using the red as my hot lead. However, which wire should I use as my neutral lead, white or black?
- At the ceiling the red and black are your hot wires. One goes thru the fan light switch the other goes thru the light light switch. The white wire is your neutral. Green is ground. When wiring in your new recessed light connect your hot to red, neutral to white and ground to green
