- When you are reading things do not just take word of mouth of people who say it sucks, cause really it does not. Yes its good for gaming, does not boast as high of frame rates, but does not have lower fps which is more important than high fps. For gaming they perform almost the same as the 2500k if not better in some places such as dirt 3 where all cores are utilized. They also overclock really well, I have seen 8150s get 8.2s in cinebench when overclocked to 5ghz. Then we get into the thing that does not show on the benchmarks, multitasking. I render lots of videos and such on my computer, my old 2500k rig (now lan rig) could only do either gaming or video rendering at any given time. My new 8150 rig on the other hand can be doing video rendering and I can still game. Should you get a 8150? well it depends on what you do, if you do other stuff besides gaming like video rendering, photoshop, have lots of tabs open in your web browser, then yes this is a great CPU. If all you want is a computer that can run games then the 2500k. But don't take my word for it, go out and find someone who actually has a rig and see what it can do for your self.

- Q: i recently just bought a new gaming computer from ibuypower. it isnt supposed to come untill january, and as i was looking over the order sheet, i realized i bought an amd fx 8150 CPU 3.60 GHz. after looking online and doing some research, i found that ALOT of people are saying that the amd bulldozer is an epic fail. BUT i do have a high end graphics card. (amd radeon hd 6970) will i be able to run games at a good fps with this CPU/ GPU combination? please no intel or amd fanboy comments, im only looking for facts, not opinions. thanks in advance.
- Sadly, yes. The bulldozer series was a pretty big flop. However, they overclock VERY well(overclocked mine a whole 1 Ghz with multipliers alone, and it runs very cooly), so that should definitely help with performance. You do have a pretty good GPU, so that should definitely make up the difference. The only reason people say that they are terrible though is because of the price to value ratio. The fx-4100, which is what I have, performs really well, especially for its price. It's just not the best on the market. PLus, if you look at the benchmarks, it falls behind intel by just a bit, but its low price makes up for it. So overall, you could have gotten a better CPU for the price, but since it has an AM3+ socket, you probably got a motherboard that supports that, and that type of socket is more future proof.

- Q: I know that it will be an amazong 16 Cores. And will double as a GPU. But i don't know the GHz of it. Also what is the big deal on The Intel's Upcoming Sandy Bridges? It only has some minor improvments over the i7. Like only .1 GHz increase.

- This mainly refers to a new interface of AMD, a new architecture, in order to distinguish it from other interfaces and architectures...... AMD's previous interface types can be down compatible, but this new interface can no longer be used on AM2, AM3, and other interface types...... This is a completely new era.
