GENERAL INFORMATION

The installation of PV modules requires a great degree of skill and should only be performed by a qualified licensed professional, including licensed contractors and licensed electricians. Please be aware that there is a serious risk of various types of injury occurring during the installation including the risk of electric shock. All CUSTOMER modules are equipped with a permanently attached junction terminal box that will accept variety of wiring applications or with a special cable assembly for ease of installation, and they do not require assembly.

INTRODUCTION

This installation Manual contains essential information for the electrical and mechanical installation that your must know before installing CUSTOMER PV modules. This also contains safety information you need to be familiar with .All the information described in this manual are the intellectual property of CNBM and based on the technologies and experiences that have been acquired and accumulated in the long history of CUSTOMER. This document does not constitute a warranty, expressed or implied.

CUSTOMER does not assume responsibility and expressly disclaims liability for loss, damage, or expense arising out of in anyway connected with installation, operation, use or maintenance of the PV modules. No responsibility is assumed by CUSTOMER for any infringement of patents or other rights of third parties that may result from use of PV module.

GENERAL WARNING

1.    Before you attempt to install wire, operate and maintain the PV module, please make sure that you completely understand the information described in this installation manual.

2.    Contact with electrically active parts of a PV module such as terminals can result in burns, sparks and lethal shock whether the PV modules is connected or not.

3.    PV modules produce electricity when the sufficient sunlight or other sources illuminate the module surface. When the modules are connected in series, voltage id cumulative . When the modules are connected in parallel, current is cumulative. As a result, a large-scale PV system can produce high voltage and current which could present an increased hazard and may cause serious injury or death.

4.    Do not connect the PV modules directly to the loads such as motor since the variation of the output power depending on the solar irradiation cause damage for the connected motor.

1:In the case of a blushless motor, the lock function becomes active and the hall IC is most likely to be damaged.

2:In the case of a brush type motor, the coil is most likely to be damaged.

Q: I want to build a solar panel
Did okorder / . This will absolutely save yourself!
Q: I really would like to have my own solar panel, but i don't know how. Most of the panels i have looked at are for car batteries but i'm not sure how this would be able to be transfered into electricity. I'm looking to power things like lamps, a stereo and various chargers for phones and ipods. Please explain to me how i could adapt a solar panel to my uses. Thank you.
Yes, it can. Now what do you expect out of it? It can reduce your electric bill by some amount. That amount depends on how many solar panels you install and how sunny your days are. You have to pretty much cover a roof to get a substantial electric reduction. There are 2 companies where I live that have installed solar panels and covered most of their roofs with them. They've reduced their electric bill by about 30%. It's expensive to do this. Don't expect a fast pay back. In fact you may save more by using solar heating panels for hot water than by using solar electric panels. I think it's cheaper as well.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on flat surfaces?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on flat surfaces. While it is more common to install solar panels on angled surfaces or rooftops to optimize their exposure to sunlight, flat surfaces can also be used. In such cases, mounting systems or support structures are used to tilt the panels at an angle that maximizes their efficiency.
Q: Can solar panels be used for powering public transportation?
Yes, solar panels can be used for powering public transportation. Solar energy can be harnessed through solar panels and converted into electricity, which can then be used to power electric buses, trains, trams, and other forms of public transportation. This helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and promote sustainable and clean energy solutions for transportation systems.
Q: Can solar panels be used in areas with limited access to electricity?
Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with limited access to electricity. This is because solar panels generate electricity using sunlight, so as long as there is sunlight available, they can generate power. In fact, solar panels are often used as a sustainable and reliable source of electricity in remote or off-grid locations where traditional power infrastructure is not available or feasible.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a deck or patio?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a deck or patio. However, it is important to consider certain factors such as the structural integrity of the deck or patio, the amount of sunlight it receives, and any regulations or restrictions in your area. Additionally, it is recommended to consult with a professional installer to ensure proper installation and maximize the efficiency of the solar panels.
Q: hey so im doing this project for my technology class and i was wondering what different colours solar panels can be. also is it possible to have kentic power as a back up power if batteries dont work? thx in advance
Ours are all silver - we have them on a canal boat and on our house roof for water heating. I've not seen them in any other colour, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
Q: Can solar panels work at night?
No, solar panels cannot work at night as they rely on sunlight to generate electricity.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a school or university campus?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a school or university campus. Many educational institutions are embracing solar energy as a sustainable and cost-effective solution for their energy needs. Installing solar panels on campus can help reduce electricity costs, lower carbon emissions, and provide educational opportunities for students to learn about renewable energy. Additionally, schools and universities can take advantage of various incentives and grants available for renewable energy projects, making solar panel installation an attractive option.
Q: I have an off-grid 24volt existing system using 8 x 80 watt 2volt, wired at 24volts, mono solar panels with deep cycle batteries, operating now. I have been given a 240 2volt polly cryst. panel. Can I add this panel to existing panels as above. Thank you, dumb solar man
Assuming that you have / will upgrade wiring sizes to carry the extra wattage, that the new total wattage resulting from the addition doesn't overload any existing charge controller, diodes and / or inverter you have installed, then paralleling it straight into one of the other 2 volt groups should do nothing but add current to the system. True, it will be somewhat imbalanced, but it will work. Your other options would be to reconfigure everything down to it's native 2 V configuration which will raise current and lower voltage, with the additional panel creating the additional current to raise the wattage or to put it in series with the other 4 panel clusters so that you would get 36 V and additional current to account for the raised wattage. One last approach might be to set it up on another battery bank of it's own (small and at 2 V) to then connect to the same inverter. You'd be getting more power and storage capability that way, sort of a partial backup system, really, that will take some of the load off the other components to help extend their useful lives and get a bit more flexibility into it as well. The choice is yours here. That is all the ways that the system can be connected in, assuming everything in the first sentence checks out;-) It's difficult to make a recommendation without knowing what other components are in use and what the maximum ratings they carry are. Just remember that parallel connections add current and voltage stays the same, series connections add voltage and the current remains the same and you can figure out what to do with this thing to help you if you stay within maximum ratings for the charge controller, diodes and / or inverter involved. Good luck and stay safe!
