1. Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve Description

A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required. The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe, passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the disc is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is always induced in the flow, regardless of valve position.

5.FAQ

1. What is manual wafer butterfly valve?

A: Wafer style is the more common of the two and is less expensive than the lug style. The wafer style butterfly valve is just about the standard. It ís so common that no one even bothers to use the word "wafer" when ordering a butterfly valve. It is taken for granted that if a butterfly valve is ordered, a wafer style will be received.

2. How about the Installation of the Wafer Style Butterfly Valve?
A: Butterfly valves are installed by inserting the valve between two flanges using bolts or studs and nuts to hold it all together. This type of installation, of course, makes it impossible to disconnect just one side of the piping system from the valve. That benefit is received using the lug style valve.

3. What is the working principle of manual wafer butterfly valve?

A: A butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.

Q: High and low pressure valve is how to distinguish?
Vacuum valve - valve with operating pressure below standard atmospheric pressure.Low pressure valve - nominal pressure PN is less than 1.6MPa valve.Medium pressure valve - nominal pressure PN 2.5~6.4MPa valve.High pressure valve - nominal pressure PN10.0~80.0MPa valve.Ultra high pressure valve - nominal pressure PN greater than 100MPa valve.
Q: What is the difference between valve j941H-40 and j41H-40?
J941H-40 is an electric globe valve, flange joint, inner part 13Cr, material carbon steel, pressure 40 kg and 4.0MPa, 9 represents electric, 4 represents flange, 1 represents straight through, and J41H-40 is common flange connection
Q: How about the quality of FITOK valves?
The United States fitok valve is the main valve and needle valve, globe valve instrument and meter tube also do.The quality of foreign valves are still good. Everyone thinks French valves are better than American ones. But the price is not cheap
Q: Why is copper used in cryogenic valves?
The rigidity of copper is better, and the friction parts are not easy to produce adhesion. The influence of temperature on copper is smaller than that of steel. Especially in the valve stem, there is also the important gear part, copper!
Q: How to quickly identify the types of valves?
The "Practical Handbook" valve design on the valve structure, with precision, surface roughness and typical design standard, the valve has hundreds of models, and continue to have a new valve, see a written one, is shorthand
Q: What are the other valves used for the control of dual-use items?
This product is in the operation of import and export trade, electronic key enterprises must be able to operate
Q: What valve is the FCV?
It's FCU, Fan, Coil, Unit, fan coil valves
Q: What does valve DN50/80 mean?
DN50/80 refers to the size of the valve. That is, the circulation diameter is 50mm/80mm.
Q: The valve has a clear opening and closing sign. What does this sentence mean?
Not only on the valve is enough to mark, here means that at the scene can see the installation of the pipe network on the valve open or shut?!
Q: 1. What does valve 13Cr&FHF mean? 2, valve WC6 (F11) what does that mean? 3. What does valve P280GH mean? 4. What does valve A335P22 mean?Thank you
The first seems to refer to the material inside the valve, containing Cr of 13% (equivalent to the 1Cr13 of our country), FHF=full face hardThe other refers to the body of the material, the corresponding standard forWC6=ASTM A217 WC6P280GH=EN10222 P280GHA335P22=ASTM A335 P22
