- Q: I'm asking this in favour of my friend who currently has no internet. She had her scaffold piercing done about 2 days ago and today it got knocked and started bleeding. It's been bleeding for about 3 hours now and she's worried about it.
- First you gotta stop touching it, that's probably causing the irratation, hence bleeding. IT'll take time to heal, just leave it alone clean out the blood every hour or so, BE CAREFUL! and LEAVE IT IN!
- Q: My current bar, my first ever bar, is about 43mm long, but it has a large gap from my ear to the balls, either side (1/2 cm each side)What length(mm) bar should I get now?
- There is no way to know, everyone's ear is a different size so length of the bar is going to vary from person to person. Go to another piercer to have them fit jewelry to you.
- Q: Hello, in a Construction project who is required to check the scaffolding equipment?check the installation? and frequently check the scaffold during the day?is it the Planning supervisor, Contractor, Principle contractor, CDM coordinator or Works manager
- as a builder for over forty years ..i have never seen anybody check the scaffold once it is erected ..and providing it has not been altered it is the scaffolding contractor who is responsible for it ..and its extremely rare for a contractor to have his own scaffolders ..here in the uk they have work strictly to a code of practice and carry a public liability insurance
- Q: this work wont start till tuesday and the scaffold has blocked my sky tv. am i within my rights to remove this scaffolding?
- No you are not within your rights to remove the scaffolding. Call the landlord to see if anything can be done. Or you could read, go for a walk. It is not the end of the world to not have tv.
- Q: I'm wanting to get a part of my ear pierced in the summer, which should I get,how much do each hurt, what is the healing period for each.I am getting it in the summer so it has time to heal before I go back to school,Help??
- Industrial takes the longest to heal, cartilage and tragus are pretty similar but infection/complications are more common in tragus piercings as they are knocked a lot by hair and headphones etc. They all hurt the same amount, unless you get your cartilage done with a gun, in which case it's much less painful (but more risk of your cartilage cracking, which is pretty painful in the long term). Industrials are usually done as two cartilage piercings with two bars, then the long bar is put in after they've healed. You should expect some discomfort and scarring around the piercing holes for quite a while afterwards. Tragus piercings often give you problems as the area is near to ear wax which contains all sorts of debris and dust ect. Most cartilage piercings should heal fine and be pretty low maintenance, and there are lots of varieties. If you want something unusual, google a 'rook' piercing.
- Q: Bowl buckle type steel pipe scaffold and full fastener type scaffolding are long what kind of? What is the difference
- But do not rule out this situation, as the difference between these two scaffolding,
- Q: Scaffolding with children that is.
- Scaffolding is a support structure in the early days of learning. Think of it in the same way as scaffolding for a building - in the early days, while things are being constructed, the scaffolding is needed to make sure the structure is strong, but once the building is strong enough to stand on its own the scaffolding can be removed, one piece at a time. It's the same with scaffolding for learning - once the child is strong enough in it's grasp of something, the props can be removed one at a time.
- Q: Okay well it's been 4 weeks now and I think that the front part is infected I'm not sure. But just next to the piercing there's a bump in my ear and puss comes out, but it's not that much. How can I tell if it is infected? And if it is, is there anything I can do about it? Thanks. :)
- First, leave the piercing in. The jewelry will act as a drain. If you take the jewelry out while it still has puss, the infection can be caught under the skin and that's a world of problems. ONLY wash it with unscented, uncolored anti-bacterial soap and sea salt soak it with warm (not hot) water twice a day for 10 minutes. I think it's 1/4 teaspoon sea salt water in 1 cup water
- Q: I'm wanting a scaffold piercing so i can wear it with a bar or 2 rings. Could i get it PIERCED with the 2 rings to begin with or do i have to have a bar for the first few weeks/months?
- Generally a Scaffold piercing is pierced with a needle and a bar runs through both piercings. You can get it done with BCR's, however it would be much more difficult to align the piercings up because of the curvature of the rings. Also the Scaffold can be pierced with PTFE or BIOPLAST, these are both lightweight and flexible and will take the pressure off of the piercing. You can also have the scaffold done with 2 separate Barbells, but the most common way is with one long Scaffold bar. These are usually around 38mm long and 1.6mm thick. Cartilage piercings can take quite a while to heal, anything from 12 weeks to a year to completely heal. If in any doubt, talk to your piercer first about your options.
- Q: The difference between bowl buckle scaffold and fastener scaffold
- Divided by the size of occlusion(1) open type scaffold: only with the work of the railing and the foot board, no other shelter facilities scaffolding.(2) partially enclosed scaffolding: Scaffolding with an area of less than 30%.(3) semi closed scaffolding: shield area of 30% to 70% of the scaffolding.(4) fully enclosed scaffold: scaffold with full length and full height along the outer side of the scaffold.(5) open type scaffold: scaffolding provided along the periphery of the building.(6) sealing ring type scaffold: scaffolding along the periphery of the building.
