Q:What do i have to do to get or start to get my real estate license??
The key to having a successful career in the real estate field are simply and easy to follow. #1 Get the necessary education to get your state license. A. An internet class would do just fine you are only trying to get your license. B. If you like to sit through a class then find a real estate school in your local area.
Q:Where can I found a good real estate attorney for buying and selling houses in New york long island area.
I would choose a real estate agent over a real estate attorney. An agent will know the market area better than an attorney. You can have the attorney close the transaction for you but I do not believe they can sell you real estate.
Q:I am a senior in high school and i want to be a real estate agent. what is the best way to go into it? go to college? is there a degree for that? or jut take one of those classes. i want to know all about it and what kind of real estate is the best and how much they make. please help!
It is very easy to get your real estate license. There is a class you take and some fees associated with it but if you find a real estate you want to work for some of them will pay for your classes or 1/2 of it. There is no degree for it. Now if you wanted to start in real estate and work up to a loan specialist or something like that then schooling and a degree is necessary. But it may bbe different in different states.
Q:Also, how much is the yearly income for a real estate agent? And what is the difference between a real estate agent and a broker and how much does a broker make a year?
In order to work, salespersons must then be associated with (and act under the authority of) a real estate broker. Many states also have reciprocal agreements with other states, allowing a licensed individual from a qualified state to take the second state's exam without completing the course requirements, or, in some cases, take only a state law exam.
Q:How many classes must someone take to get a real estate license to practice selling real estate in california. I am taking the principles of real estate course at the local junior college and was wondering how many more classes i would need to be taking. Thank you!
Are you doing this class online? Or in a class room. If you are doing it online, you are screwed. I promise you that this subject is NOT on the test and if you are in a class room setting, the teacher will tell you this. The ONLY purpose of the class is to help you pass the exam, not understand real estate. If you are doing this online, there is NO way to know what to study and what is important since you don't have a teacher to tell you. If you are trying to get your real estate lic, DO IT IN PERSON, not online or self study.
Q:I am going for a second interview for this real estate job tomorrow. Its is pretty junior sales position and I am pretty sure they are going to ask me 'why i want to get into the real estate business'. I graduated with a marketing degree and obviously i have a passion for marketing so how should i link my passion for marketing and real estate together and produce a good answer for this question? I already thought of one myself but i would love to hear other people's idea!!
while my peers are correct, I have a puzzling query for you. ONE of my peers is a sales trainer. ONLY in the field of real estate, is this a problem--not to reduce the trainer's skills/value in any way, AS of about 12 yrs ago, in the US, the world of real estate added a CRITICAL component to AGENCY. IN selling cars, boats, TVs and a myriad of other things, the store hires a store sales person. That is logical. NOT so in real estate!!! in REAL ESTATE--we have 3 types of agency and I think in 5 yrs, there will be only 2; today, we have listing --seller agency, we have buyer's agency [which my firm does] and we have DUAL AGENCY. IN no other biz does this exist and the difference gives real estate brokers, sellers an agents headaches....... I presume you have your license. YOU took classes on this already. YOU cannot, as you re-call, represent AS A FIDUCIARY, both the seller and the buyer in a transaction. YOU cannot NEGOTIATE for the buyer if you are a dual agent. YOU can submit offers to the seller-or seller's agent but you may not negotiate on price for a buyer if you are the one who took the listing. IT IS being debated nationwide, if a dual agent can reasonably represent the buyer. He may submit offers to the seller and that is it. CAN an agent, who knows the inside data on a listing, give that data to the buyer? NO. IF a sales person INSTEAD works for an exclusive buyer's agency, he can negotiate!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Q:Okay so im 18 years old, and im at the point in my life where, i have no idea what I wanna do! i plan to go to school for business next fall, and ideally become a successful real estate agent.A Real Estate Agent is very appealing to me because, i like the fact that there is no limit to how much money you can make, you set your own hours, you get to wear a suit to work everyday, drive a nice car, you get the idea! My father was a car salesman, and my whole life ive been good with my words and able to sell and persuade people into things he he. Its just that i am a lazy weed-smoker who needs to change my ways ( but i plan to do so) and i don't like to work evenings and weekends. And i sat down with a Real Estate agent in my community and he said if you want to be a real estate agent, then say goodbye to your evenings and weekends! that's a turn off for me, i want to enjoy my nights and weekends with my wife and family! Any Thoughts?
I became a real estate agent 3 months ago in Canada, British Columbia. United states is on the Decline. I have been doing well finally after 3 months. Made a 3 million dollar commercial sale, but my first sale was a mobile home for 100 000$. A crappy mobile home for 100 000$ do the math and relocate my friend. Things are so hot up here its amazing. Vancouver, Okanagan, Island. Leave the states and start business up here. Im only 19 and even I can make a living at it. More than a decent one.
Q:Well i'm really thinking about going into real estate as a side job. I wanted to do it when i go to college to help pay for expences, I heard you can make a lot of money. Now I don't want to make this a career, but i'm pretty intrested. Now my questions are would this be a good idea? What would i have to do to be lisenced? I'm still in High School, but i thought this would be a good way to start making some money.
Attending college and real estate, NO! You can stop by any real estate office in your state and inquire. New agents in the market today will find it extremely difficult. Those that tell you to get the license then they will use you, not going to happen until you get experience, know how to market, etc. In the North Atlanta area, one of the best during this decline, it currently is averaging for new agents 6 to 8 months to sell or represent a qualified buyer under contract. It does cost to work in real estate. You need a decent late model 4-door auto/suv, your state laws for agents have auto insurance requirements before taking clients. Other costs, school (offered many ways), state test, broker fees you elect to work at, if broker requires (most do), membership fees to join a professional real estate organization, purchase of business cards, purchase of signs, some brokers have fees if you need an office or space in office, costs to print or make copies (different for b/w and color), etc. I, personally, including school through my first 30 days with the broker spent $1,400. Sold first home my 6th month, now 3 years in business averaging 2 a month, but it took time. To be successful, making calls at night when people are home, working weekends, being available for clients. YOUR TIME will be valued as you begin college. At this stage in your life I do not recommend real estate due to time to learn as you begin with a broker, time frame to sell your first home, added expense to begin a real estate career. Hope this helps, stay in-focus with continuing education.
Q:I was considering entering the real estate business with sucessful local company, and do some side busienss on my own. Is there now too many people in the market to get into it? Please voice opions or experience, im not really sure on what i should do!.
My opinion is based on my personal experiences of losing deal after deal to unqualified agents. My bad experiences have caused me to stereo-type real estate agents to the point I steer clear of them whenever possible. The Real Estate market is over saturated with a lot of non-college educated agents that do not possess professional business skills or know how. I have fired agent after agent, and went through 15 agents before I found one with a little sense that could negotiate a good deal. I was shocked and came to realize this is the last business I would ever consider, as the agents I have had exposure to are unloyal, unscrupulous and will stab another agent in the back at a blink of the eye. It's ruthless and cut throat. If you have a passion for working with these types of people, go for it. But I highly recommend finding a business that is not made up of desperate house wives and high school drop outs that had no other options but realty. Sorry...I know there are probably a few great agents out there, however, I personally haven't had the pleasure of meeting that perfect agent.
Q:I am a college student and am interested in learning about real estate, but I have no clue how to start. I bought a book, but I think it's the next step, I need something to fill the gap. - Can anyone direct me to a website with a beginners guide?- If someone could write maybe a paragraph or two as an introduction that would be great.- If I wanted to get started in real estate out of college, how would you recommend I start?
If you a college student and interested in learning about real estate, the bast way to do this, is to get a job as a Secretary in any real estate office. What you will learn there no book will do. And get a part time job for this position, it's no problem. Good Luck!
