The 4-wheel steer JCB 4CX-17 Super is the largest backhoe model we produce, and this latest incarnation really is a product of our 60-plus years as backhoe market leader, bearing a host of performance, comfort, safety and efficiency improvements.
Like our new award-winning EcoMAX T4 Final compliant engine, which meets Tier 4 Final legislation without bulky DPF; compact installation provides uncompromised visibility and manoeuvrability. The 4CX-17 super also has high ground clearance and 4 equal-sized wheels, so it can tackle terrain unlike any other backhoe.
The 4CX-17 Super’s new EcoMAX engine is designed, tested and built by JCB to work perfectly with JCB axles and gearboxes. T4 Final compliant EcoMAX produces power and torque at around 1500 rpm for responsiveness and fuel-efficient matching of the transmission and hydraulics.
Because the JCB EcoMAX doesn’t use exhaust after-treatment, it doesn’t need costly heat-resistant oils or Adblue, saving servicing costs. And, because the JCB EcoMAX can be adapted to run on lower-grade fuels, Backhoes are resalable across different territories, which boosts residuals.
JCB 4CX-17 Super engines are tried and tested. We’ve built over 300,000 DIESELMAX engines since 2004, and we’ve tested EcoMAX for 110,000 hours in 70 different machines across the toughest applications and environments.
For ultimate loading performance, productivity and roading efficiency, the JCB 4CX-17 Super’s EcoMAX engine delivers as much as 109hp (81kW) and 381lbf (516Nm) of torque.
JCB’s unique TorqueLock system is standard-fit on all 109hp (81kW) Powershift 4CX-17 Super models. Combined with our optional 6-speed Autoshift transmission, can help save up to 25% on fuel and 10% on road travel time.
An optional limited slip differential gives a JCB 4CX-17 Super superior traction and performance, as well as reduced tire wear.
The 4CX-17 Super JCB backhoe loader is fitted with EcoRoad technology to provide the highest efficiency and productivity levels when roading. Fuel consumption is reduced, while machine speed and working area are increased by up to 10%.
The JCB 4CX-17 Super has 3 steer modes and a 1.4yd³ shovel capacity for exceptional on site productivity.
Our 6-speed Autoshift transmission with floor mounted kickdown switch provides great pulling power on the 4CX-17 Super.
manual backhoes, lighter lever effort makes control easier.
There’s more tractive effort at the pile than ever, thanks to new variable flow pump power management and the new JCB EcoMAX engine.
The 4CX-17 Super’s 4-ram self-leveling loader automatically adjusts the shovel on both the raise and lower cycle without any need for manual adjustment. It also provides unhindered front shovel visibility, especially when loading at height.
The optional combined hammer and bi-directional circuit provides optimized low-flow and high-flow hydraulic power with low back pressure for great attachment versatility.
JCB’s new hydraulic quickhitch makes attachment changing on the 4CX-17 Super quick, safe and compliant with current and future legislation.
At the loading end of the JCB 4CX-17 Super, our return-to-dig feature automatically resets the shovel into the loading position, and selectable transmission disconnect diverts maximum hydraulic power from the engine to the loader arms.
JCB 4CX-17 Super axles and transmission are designed to withstand a 12,000-hour design life; heavyweight axles are built to withstand serious shock loads. The rear axle alone has a static load rating of 55,125lb (25,011kg), and a dynamic load rating of 27,562lb, (12,505kg).
We use stress-relieved fabrication for the 4CX-17 Super’s boom – by heating materials to over 1202˚F for over 16 hours, we make sure the metal is evenly heated, doubling boom life.
The 4CX-17 Super’s pre-production testing regime included 100,000 loading cycles, 500,000 excavating cycles, 360,000 gear change cycles, extensive bump track testing to ensure structural integrity, and thousands of hours of endurance testing.
We also carried out extensive EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing on the 4CX-17 Super; this ensures that signals from mobile phones and radios don’t affect the machine in any way.
Every new JCB 4CX-17 Super is put through around 600 performance checks on the production line.
Our construction materials are tested to the limit by exposing them to extreme temperatures, chemicals, salt, oil and light. That way, we know they’ll survive the most hostile conditions.
For rigidity and hose protection, the loader arms are constructed with a u pressed plate welded to a flat closing plate giving maximum strength.
The robot welded single-piece chassis on the 4CX-17 Super maximizes strength and minimizes weight.
Hydraulic hoses are approved to work down to -4°F and all JCB 4CX-17 Super materials are tested to extreme temperatures and exposed to chemical, salt, oil and sunlight to ensure maximum protection.
- Q: which loader should i get? already have empire b loader, dont like it, thinking of rotor loader or pinokio.....would the balls jam or break because the gun cant keep up with the gun? if so, what loader should i get?
- All of those loaders should keep up if they are working correctly. What's wrong with your Reloader? If you get a Rotor, make sure you get a 2nd generation (the first gen. jams a lot) and I've been using my Pinokio since November and have only noticed one problem: the power button is big, which is nice, but it's right where my mask is so I'll accidently turn it off in the middle of a game. The Rotor uses three AA batteries, while the Pinokio uses two 9Vs. The batteries on both last quite some time. I suggest taking a look at the Empire Prophecy as well. Make sure you try them out on your gun before you buy one. They all have different profiles and angles of which you reload, some of which feel quite uncomfortable.
- Q: We have budgeted $1400 for the washer and dryer appliances, but can spend no more. Is crieg's list a reliable source to buy something used like that? or should I go new, and is it possible with our budget?
- about $1800 will get you in the door.
- Q: I have heard negative and positive. Top loaders are more efficient, but they wear out faster. Would you please give me some advice? Thanks
- Front loaders require the more expensive HE detergents. They also do not drain well and get to stinking because they do not dry out. You need to leave the door open to help prevent them from stinking. Bad luck with door seals also. Go Top Load for less headaches. Good luck,
- Q: I was approached with the design and a have a prototype of the product and it truly does speed up the process exponentially. Any tips of how to get it to the Armed Forces would be great. I could sell the hell out of this thing if i knew the process of selling to the forces but unfortunately have no experience with that.

- Q: I can get to the priiloader and go to bootmii iOS but when I try to use it it says RestoreMii, NAND ID: Addc1095Checking boot2...Bootmii not found, too dangerous to continue! If your sd card is corrupt orRestore is interrupted, you will beUnable to boot to fix it. If you areSURE you want to do this, KONAMI.Otherwise, press [Z] to give up.(I press a button on the GameCube controller and it says)Try harder, Hashimoto-san!(it keeps saying this every time I press a button)Please help thanks!!!!!!!!!
- if i were u .... i would restore .... and get the proper guide for ur system menu ... follow it to the T. i no use priiloader, have something called star(t)patch. also use wiiflow as the loader
- Q: I was thinking of buying one but it want to know if it really works well.
- Two questions you need to ask yourself. Does the weight throw off my aim? is number one. If the extra weight don't bother you, do you regularly find yourself getting low in the ammo department and why. If you can keep your hopper loaded, you don't need the help. If you get low and need a ball in there right now!, the assist will help depending on how you load. If you find yourself running low all the time, either work on your aim, or do like the old timers did it. Count your shots. When you get low, duck and reload. (P.S. If you spray and pray lots, don't joint the service. If you shoot with them, the other side don't use paintballs!) Keep safe! Always use body armor and eyewear!
- Q: In the past when we have bought a washer, usually the company installs it. My friend has a brand new never used front end loader that she wants to sell and I want it, but she said something about it being complicated to install and needing a board or something to put under it? I live in a pier and beam home and it may not be 100% level in there, but it looks like it is, and we have never had a problem with our other washer, so I am not sure what she means about it being very complicated to install. My old washer, you just hook up the hoses, and plug it up. Is this very different?
- Front load washers usually are a bit on the short side and need a pedestal to raise to a proper level. it will work fine on the floor but You may have to bend over to use the machine.
- Q: can it reload all 357 cases or those only from your own gunthanks
- im a little confused here. a lee reloading press set up for .357 mag can reload all brass .357 cases, unless the case is steel or aluminum or is berdan primed. you dont need to run ammo through a gun to be able to use it in the same gun again. you can buy ammo from the store, reload the brass and shoot it through your gun again, reload it again and shoot it through your buddies gun without any issues if you reload it to the right specs, some companies only make reloaded (re manufactured) ammo and all the cases are from different brands. reloading is WAAAYY cheaper than buying ammo loaded.
- Q: If my computer is genuine because of windows loader will it affect it?
- no it shouldnt. Windows loader creates the licensing file. When microsoft checks for genuine software it looks for the licensing file. This licensing file is stored as a .dll in your computers registry.
- Q: How do I change the speed change valve of the loader?
- Pull out the spring to the hole, you can see the pressure regulating valve, the pressure regulating spring, one head on the pressure regulating valve core, and the other end of the top of the accumulator piston, of course, can be compressed by the piston.
