Q: Heavy machinery as in tractors... what would you need human labor and heavy machinery for in a horse farm
growing feed and hay -- horses eat a lot.
Q: A few years back I remembered seeing something on an ad on tv describing like a box you put over loud machinery like an air compressor so it will become quiter and even silence it. I don't know the name but from what I remember it was a white looking box very large.
You can build a box using 1x or 2x lumber and plywood, depending on how big you need it. Then line the box with either egg crate foam or styrofoam. Both act as noise supressors. Be sure to allow room for ventilation if needed.
Q: What machinery/equipment shall i use for my catering business? I am starting up a business and i cannot find proper help. help me!
you need a kitchen that's been inspected by the health board, (no home kitchens) truck, cambro boxes, plates pan, pots, silverware, hotel pans, ladles, the list go's on the trick to catering is finding a kitchen, find a small Private restaurant that you can rent to start
Q: It seems additive layer manufacturing comes in laser to metal format,if so, acquring just one of these machines (although I realize at a ridiculously high price) covers all the functionalities of many variations of CNC machines. (like mills, lathes, routers etc, of which I assume there are limitations on angular production)Will this not cut the learning curve and rapid prototyping time significantly?Or is there limitations in these type of rapid prototyping machines as well do you think?I just think, learning and using many different machines these days on manufacturing is quickly becoming obsolete. What do you think? Is CNC still a must?
3D printing is a great technology getting better all the time. While the 3D printer can make all of those shapes within a certain precision (they lay down thin sheets of plastic on top of each other) there are many limitations of the process, such as size, materials, precision, and manufacturing throughput that make it not the best choice in all cases. I designed a part recently out of aluminum that thermally connected a tank to a cold plate heat exchanger. It was made on a CNC mill and could not have been made with 3D printing. Because of the size of it, even if there was a material available, 3D printing would likely have been at least 10X more expensive than CNC milling was. More processes gives engineers more design freedom to come up with better stuff.
Q: What machinery is used to make sugar? From digging the ground to harvesting.......
Sugar is obtained from a corn-like cane that grows in tropical places, It is planted from small cut portions of the cane into the soil already prepared and fertilized, when the canes get as high as 6 feet, and the leaves start to get yellow, is harvested, in many places its burnt to get ready of the leaves with sharp cutting edges and some dangerous snakes that usually nest in the plantations. The cane itself as is full with sweet liquid doesn't burn and is collected and carried to the mill. The first part of the extraction is to pass the canes through a press of rollers that press the syrup out, keeping the dry cane to be used for fuel to use in the boilers. The syrup is boiled and the water is removed leaving a very dense paste that is then dried with hot air to get raw sugar in large crumbs, this crums are milled to get what is known as brown sugar in cystaline form. The brown sugar doesn't have any chemicals and is almost 100% from dried syrup. From the brown sugar, is processed white sugar by means of adding some chemicals to whiten and remove the sugar cane flavor that comes with the original syrup. The final product is what we buy at the store. The boilers designed for sugar mills are unique for they are able to work with the dry cane as with oil, reducing considerably the cost of operation. There are some by-products very important that make sugar mills a great industry, the process of drying produce also a burned taste sediment called molasses high in calories that is also comercialized as stock food.
Q: we already use all kinds of technology. My question to all of you is, How long before the human specie doesn't not have to do anything for themselves? Some form of technology will be there for there assistance?
Love machinery, hate it when it doesn't work. Since computers began there was this thing called paperless system. I have yet to see a paperless system. Machinery will always need someone to turn it on, maintain it, repair it etc,, Maybe even create more jobs.
Q: Heavy equipment machinery to be specific. i.e. dozers, excavators, backhoes
Driven Cat's in the mines (u/g artic trucks AD45, 55 and 55B, graders, 777 769). Proof of the pudding is in the tasting they say, and all mines are full of Cat gear. Im not sure about Case to be honest, but Cat gear is excellent.
Q: Hi I am an Science Graduate but joined a Manufacturing company as an account assistant. i have a question on depreciation. suppose i am calculating depreciation on a Machine for 5 years. After 5 years the asset value becomes zero. then how we have to treat this asset in Balance sheet. i have to pass an account entry etc... let me know if any one can answer this question clearly as i dont have any knowledge in accounts. please explain in details thank you sooo much
You still treat it as an asset with a value of its original purchase price and under accrued depreciation you show the same (full) amount again, effectively resulting in a zero balance for this item.
Q: Survey: What piece of heavy machinery should I operate after the meds kick in?
Oil tanker always goes over good.
Q: Why do mechanical systems usually use nitrogen gas tanks instead of other gases in mechanical engineering?
The nitrogen inert gas has the advantages of stable and non burning, high purity nitrogen extraction, low cost and good compressibility of nitrogen,
