Q: I'm building myself a new rig anytime soon but I fancy myself a bulldozer. Thing is, those won't come out till Q4 2010 or Q1 2011. I'm going to buy an 890gx or 890fx mobo so that i could drop in that chip when the time comes. But for the moment, i need a temporary fix to fill in that slot. What should I get? What I had in mind is an Athlon II X3 440 while waiting for the new chip. Is this fine or should I use something else?
