- I am a plumber and you do not want to use an all cpvc adaptor you are asking for trouble they will certainly leak. plus it is better to use thread sealent paste rather than the tape this is because the tape has a habit of coming undone when screwing the pipe together. If you mess up and put the tape on in the wrong direction you have to take it off and start over with the paste you don;t you get it right everytime. The second link is a picture of the type of fitting you will need. The first is to explain why you need a cpvc to metal adaptor not just cpvc adaptor. For a plastic-to-steel pipe transition (Fig. 3), you'll need a male adapter that will secure the plastic unthreaded pipe to the female-threaded steel pipe fitting. This adapter has a glueable hub on one end to accept the plastic pipe, and brass male pipe threads on the other end to screw into the galvanized fitting. - This is the lock type pipe joint.The other two are not easy to describe.The sleeve type pipe joint is replaced quickly, but it is not as reliable as the locking joint of the lock type pipe joint.

- dont use poly pipe for mainline. it will leak on you. soon and it sucks really i have seen what happens. i repair sprinkler systems for aliving. use a 1in mainline PVC pipe and lateral lines then use 1.5 inch poly pipe for the heads. no more than 2 per poly pipe. dont listen to those online designs. a professionally installed system will not include poly pipe for mainline. it just will not work properly. edit you didnt say main line or lateral line you just said poly and supply line. supply line could be your houses water line. either way the 1in and 3/4 in poly lines are crap. seen it fail. many times. just trying to help you out. for residential the best way to do it is with a 1in main line and lateral lines and use 1/2 in poly pipe no more than 2 heads to three heads max per poly line. average 5-6 rotors per zone and 8 misters per zone. maybe 10 at most.

- those 3 sharp beats mean the batterly is low, the 9volt batter can last a while on those fire alarms but try changing the batter. and the fuse is the apartments responsibility. any thing major where you need to call a repair man out should be at the apartments expense. its a liabilty thing.
