Q: How do I know what finish I have on my wheels?
Stock alloy wheels are either usually either painted, polished, or chrome plated. See website below, looks like either painted or polished. Polished is shiny like a mirror, anything else is painted somehow.
Q: What causes skateboard wheels to flatspot? How long do regular wheels last?
mostly because when you don't land your 180's fully 180, or power sliding to slow down or stop. if you do a lot of nose blunt, blunt, tail, nose slides. or lip slides. anytime your wheel is sliding sideways and not rolling. sorry but most wheels will flat spot. stick with a harder wheel. right now my satori's are working pretty good for me. depending on how you skate and how much you skate will determine how long your wheels will last. good luck and have fun.
Q: Side of the wheel, and it should be matching the road with what curve in order to ensure that the axis in a horizontal plane movement?
Ideal state is feasible, or bound to bumps! The reason for the bumps is that the axle can not always be orthogonal to the center line of the road!
Q: Could someone please tell me what the French is for wheel bearing? I‘m driving through France and the car is making funny noises, which I think might be due to the bearing, and I‘m going to need to know the French word to ask at a garage. Thanks!!!!!!!

Q: I was wondering what wheels I should get for an indoor roller hockey League.
This Site Might Help You. RE: Roller hockey wheels with best grip? I was wondering what wheels I should get for an indoor roller hockey League.
Q: i drive a 2002 ford focus zx3 dohc, and heard grinding and metal scraping on passenger side wheel. i took the wheel off and noticed that the bottom of my brake pad is touching the center piece of the rotor (as of my knowledge that i see) and grabbed the sides of the rotor and saw that it is very loose(as in the whole thing that holds the wheel rotor and stuff behind it), i was wondering what part(s) do i need to change in order to fix this. PLEASE HELP!
may just be cv centre nut loose
Q: In the history of the wheel, China has gone through several cultural revolutions
The second is Cao's father and son Jian'an seven sub-bamboo seven Yin and Tao Yuanming as the representative of the Wei and Jin Dynasties literary screen abandoned worship advocating the natural Renaissance
Q: I am planning on getting new wheels for the car, and I have a couple questions about the offset as I do not understand it 100%So the current offset of my stock wheels are at +37If I get new wheels and the offset is 20, how would that make a difference on the appearance/handling.Will it make the wheels stick out more or go in more? And would hub centric wheel spacers be recommended to make up for the difference? Would the handling be worse on the car? Thanks for your help!
If you were to replace ET37 with ET20, assuming they are the same width rim/tire, the wheel will stick OUT by 17 millimeters. I would guess this will be too aggressive and stick out of your wheel well and most likely rub against the fender. Forget about spacers with this setup as it would be counter-intuitive. If the new wheels are wider, it will stick out even further. If the new wheels are thinner, then it might mitigate the difference but this is unlikely since ET20 wheels typically come on aggressive looking cars like the M3 and would definitely be a wider wheel. If you were to go the other way, ie. ET44, then you would want 7 mm spacers (in this example) to offset the difference and reduce the tucked look, again assuming same width. As for handling, having your wheels further out makes the car a bit more stable, and looks much better in my opinion. My car is oem ET31 and I have ET47 winter rims, implying they're tucked in 16mm compared to stock. I didn't use spacers last winter, I thought it handled just fine, could barely notice any difference in both city and highway driving. However, they looked strange from behind due to the offsets. Hope this helps you understand offsets a bit better. I would look for a similar offset and avoid spacers altogether if possible. Good luck!
Q: what is the Main wheel diameter and the tail gear diameter on a Cessna 120.
Cherokee gave you all the info that you need. If you are the owner of a 120, google the Cessna 120 / 140 Association. These people are a wealth of info and help for those of us who own and fly these wonderful little planes.
Q: i need some random facts about the wheel and axle!!! can you help me out!!!!!!!!!! plzz!!!!! thanks!!
wheel and axle simple machine consisting of a wheel mounted rigidly upon an axle or drum of smaller diameter, the wheel and the axle having the same axis. It is fundamentally a form of lever, the center common to both the wheel and the axle corresponding to the fulcrum, the radii of the two parts to the arms. The effort (applied to the wheel) needed to overcome the resistance (acting upon the axle) is relatively small. The mechanical advantage gained by the use of the wheel is equal to the ratio of the radius of the wheel to the radius of the axle. The wheel and axle is not as efficient as the lever, since a part of the effort must be used to overcome the resistance of friction. In common use, a crank or handle often takes the place of the wheel. Applications of the wheel and axle are numerous in everyday life; examples are the steering wheel of an automobile, the doorknob, and the windlass. The effort is applied through a greater distance than is the resistance, but this effort is applied conveniently in a circle. In the treadmill, the windmill, and the waterwheel, the wheel and axle led the way to the utilization of power in modern machinery. Clockmakers were pioneers in devising ways of transmitting and controlling power by the use of the wheel and axle.
