- Chevy Silverado is a P/U correct and as such has rear wheel drive. If it's the wheel bearing you will hear it make a humming noise especially on a straightaway. If you suspect your right front wheel bearing, jack it up and spin the wheel. If it's the bearing you will hear it. Once step further is to remove the wheel, wheel nut and inspect the bearings (inner and outer) and the bearing race for discoloration, and metallic particles. I hate to guess about pricing but it's about an hour's work plus parts.
