- Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to staining?
- Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to staining.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for packaging liquids?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for packaging liquids. They are commonly used for products such as lotions, creams, gels, and other liquid-based substances. They provide a convenient and efficient way to dispense and store liquids while ensuring product integrity and ease of use.
- Q: I get loads of plastic tubes of mini eggs at easter, and they just get thrown away. What could i make out of them?
- I don't think you can really do anything with them. Instead of throwing them away, just recycle them.
- Q: Plastic tubing is touching compressor (or close to it) and gets hot and brittle. I recoupled a bad spot 1 year ago and it is leaking again. I would like to replace the tubing from the back of the refrig (solenoid) to the water filter. Any ideas on what material to use? I would like to use copper line thru the bottom of the refrig if not all the way to the water filter, but don't know how to connect it to the solenoid. Also would pex (1/4 OD) line be a better (albeit more expensive) choice for this?
- You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.
- Q: What is the minimum diameter of plastic tubes?
- The minimum diameter of plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific type and application, but generally, it can range from a few millimeters to a few centimeters.
- Q: What are the different sizes available for plastic tubes?
- There are various sizes available for plastic tubes, ranging from small diameters like 1/8 inch to larger diameters like 4 inches or more. The specific sizes depend on the manufacturer and the intended use of the tube.
- Q: I mean, like filling a plastic tube from end to end with mercury, sealing it with caps that allow contact points at either end, and then wrapping the tubing around a ferrite core, and adding current. Would this function just like any other coil?
- yes and no. copper is 60 times more conductive. that means that mercury wouldn't work nearly as well. in addition, the tube to contain mercury would be much thicker than the insulation around copper. so, while it would work to some degree, it wouldn't work very well.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for pneumatic control systems?
- Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for pneumatic control systems. Plastic tubes are lightweight, flexible, and resistant to corrosion, making them an ideal choice for transmitting compressed air and controlling pneumatic components. They are also cost-effective and easy to install, making them a popular option in various industries. However, it is important to consider the specific application requirements and potential pressure limitations when selecting plastic tubes for pneumatic control systems.
- Q: Are plastic tubes durable?
- Plastic tubes can be durable depending on their quality, thickness, and intended use. High-quality plastic tubes made from materials like PVC or polycarbonate can be quite durable, with good resistance to impact, chemicals, and UV radiation. However, not all plastic tubes are created equal, and cheaper or lower-grade options may be less durable and prone to cracking or breaking. Therefore, it is important to consider the specific requirements and select the appropriate type of plastic tube for the intended application to ensure durability.
- Q: My husband and I hadm made steak and eggs for breakfast this morning with our left over steak from Christmas day. It was a large piece of filette mignon (sorry for the spelling if thats wrong) when he cut into his it he pulled.out a long clear plastic/rubber tube!! Clearly not part of the animal at all... it looks like.an air tube or something. About 2 inches long. . Its freaking me out! What should we do about this?? Infeel like we can't even trust if the meat we buy is all natural anymore.
- It's probably a tube used to inject the meat with some sort of aging solution or perservative. NO the food we get these days in not hardly natural. It's a shame what our people has let happen in this country, all for the almighty $. You get what you pay for, if you want good natural meat and other food it will cost a little more money. And Americans still think Lincoln abolished slavery. LOL. This country needed more slaves. All Lincoln did was take the color out of slavery and give them the right to choose who they slave for. We are still slaves, 7.50 an hour is slave wages. Why? Who can afford good quality food on a budget of 7.50 an hour?
