- Q: The dishwasher behind my bar at work has a leak. The pipe that's leaking is Parker Parflex PP 3/8 plastic tubing that connects into a metal nut and brings clean water in. The pipe has a leak exactly where it meets the nut, so in theory I could cut off the cracked portion and then re-seal it to the nut. Can I cut it with wire cutters? Should it be sanded after I cut it? Do I use a teflon sealant? Thanks for any help!
- That should be a compression fitting. If it's a brass fitting then they are one time use. You can get a new brass fitting, cut the PP tube clean with a knife or a razor blade - be careful not to cut yourself please, then install the nut over the tube, slip the compression ring over the tube and if there's an insert that goes inside the PP, insert that. Then push the hose into the fitting and slide the nut and ring to the threaded portion of the fitting and tighten it. Be careful to tighten it enough to seal but not so tight you cut through the pipe again. It's likely the reason you have the leak in the first place is because someone overtightened it. OR you can simply buy a replacement hose. I'd prefer a wire braid shielded pipe. Stronger and made with a professional fitting on the end, one you don't have to mess with. My opinion, replacing the tube is the better idea. And they're not stupidly expensive either. Good luck with your project. '')

- Looks like the plastic connector has a duff washer in it. It will keep weeping and its annoying. PTFE plastic tape may assist but to be fair id do this: Remove the tube and make sure the threaded brass tail of the tap is flat and smooth wioth no burrs. Second, make sure the threads on the tube arent frayed or have been cross threaded so it goes on slightly crooked. third, make sure the black rubber washer in the tube connector end isnt twisted, split or slipping inside the tail when tightened up fully (common with some makes) fourth, make sure you havent overtightened it, this can cause the above. fifth, where the white plastic braded tube meets the shiny metal crimp section (before the white plasic) it can sometimes fail. Manufaturing fault but not uncommon. Done worry about your question 2. Its 99% question 1. Plumbing and heating engineer for 12 years - a little tip - if you have to force it, your probably doing it wrong. Its a good motto for plumbing.... and in life!!! Yeah baby! Good luck

I followed the line and it goes into my rear pass. wheel well. I looked in the owners manual but I can't find anything on these lines that are under there. Some are blue and some are white. I unkinked the hose and everything seems to be running fine, I'm assuming it's some type of vent, maybe for the gas tank, but I've never seen anything like this before, and I'm kind of confused why they would run something like that under the body of a car that sits so low to begin with. - Q: This Saturday I'm going tubing in the Guadalupe River and I'm FREAKING out. I know how to swim but I'm just scared of waterfalls and really rough and tough water. Any information about the rivers currents and the flow will be nice. Also any advise would be greatly appreciated. (The cfs is currently 68 if that is important)

They pick you up at one of two different spots down the river in a caravan, so you don't have to worry about getting back. You can bring a cooler with non trash items, food, and toys.
