- Q:I have a desk chair that leans back and one of the arms broke. When you lean back in the chair it puts alot of stress on the arm and it finally snapped after a couple of years. Now when you sit in the chair it twists and it really uncomfortable. I can solve the problem by putting the arm back together and was thinking that i could make a splint kind of thing for it, but the arm is a weird curvy shape and any straight material won't work. Any suggestions for materials that i could use would be appreciated or if you have another idea of how to fix it, i would happy to hear them.Please don't say super glue or tape because it will not work.Also, i'm not buying a new chair so please don't leave that as a response either.
- You are wrong about using a glue. But then glue is not the right word anyway. Use a material called PL Premium Construction Adhesive. Tube section at many locations. Just don't spend much time breathing it and do not get it on your skin. This adhesive is used to stick most anything to anything - forever. Builders and masons have used this stuff for decades. The old joke is that PL will stick a Volkswagon to a brick wall. How strong? Well, if you use PL to stick two large boards together, you will never be able to break the bond - even with an axe or a ten pound sledge. The wood will be smashed to pieces and the two adhesive faces will still be solidly stuck together. As it relates to your work, I have used it to repair runners on rocking chairs and legs that have snapped apart. Still going thirty years later.

- Q:I have this really greata office chair that my neighbor was just oging to through out... it has some tears in it ...and i am unsure of how to go about fixing it. the material isn't close enough to stitch... my mom suggested getting a peice of fabric to cover it and stitch that to the chair...i honestly dont care about the looks just that i dont ruin it more... would a regualr needle and thread hold against leather if i just put a peice over it...
- Well its probably too late now to really do anything unless u declaw , but I don't suggest that, I've read studies on what they do to declaw and I would never do that to my cat! Would you want to have somebody rip your nails out of your fingers? SO.. I've tried all that there is.. the sprays on the chairs and scents cats hate.. nothing works.. not even spraying the cat with water works (my cat likes water) slap on the butt, loud noise.. nothing works.. Got rid of the chesterfield that he did it to instead of the cat.. Just left his favorite chair and footstool that he likes.. he leaves everything else alone. Best thing to do is when you first get a kitten is to teach them to use a scratching post right from the start..

- You definitely can have sound going through both your TV speakers and gaming chair speakers. The way to do it is to hook the gaming chair up to the Audio Out of the TV (instead of connecting it to the audio leads coming from the gaming system, DVD/Blu-ray player, or whatever else). The Audio Out on the TV will be the regular red and white (female) audio jacks and then you can connect them to the Audio In of the gaming chair which are the same red and white (female) audio jacks. You connect them using a standard audio cord with a pair of red and white (male) audio jacks on each end (which came with your X Rocker gaming chair). Once your chair is connected this way you'll have sound coming out of both your TV and X Rocker chair. The volume control of the TV will effect both the TV volume and the gaming chair volume and then you can change the volume on your gaming chair itself to balance the volumes in front and behind you so it's just right. It's really great once you get it all dialed.
- Q:I am currently a freshman in high school. I am third chair clarinet in band overall. This is pretty good, and I am expected to do well. The only thing is, I'm not expected to get first chair until my senior year because the 2nd chair is a sophomore (the first chair is moving soon so he's not an issue) and she's expected to get first chair each year. Find a theory teacher, and work hard.
